Enjoying a slightly elevated position, the cottage has views down the fields to the golden sandy beach, guests can wonder down to Castlecove beach which is just a 10- 15 mins walk away, from where you can observe the local wildlife or possibly enjoy some local fishing .
The cottage offers a private seating area, as well as access to a small garden where you can relax with a good book, whilst taking in the views of the countyside. Why not take some time and amble into the nearby farm or to explore the Kerry Hill Tops.
Couple's Retreat Cottage is a traditional Irish 1 bedroom Luxurious Country Cottage with sea views from its four poster bed and amazing Jacuzzi.
Traditional in style with solid oak floors and cosy wood-burning stove surrounded by an original brick fire place the couple's Retreat Cottage has an elegant, warm, cosy atmosphere. The cottage boasts original paintings from the surrounding area, to give an old world feel to the rooms.
The kitchen has a nautical ambiance which also boasts a sea view. The downstairs bathroom includes a walk in wet room decorated tastefully with pebbles emulating the local beaches. Couples can experience the local gourmet restaurants, traditional music in the local pubs or dance the night away in Ireland's only 'Beach Bar'!! Alternatively simply hide yourselves away in this majestic and romantic setting.

You can purchase Irish Newspapers and a limited supply of English Newspapers form either O'Leary's (The Green Shop) or Freddie's Grocery Shop in Caherdaniel. Either shop will be happy to order the newspaper of your choice if it is not in stock.

Basic food and house hold items can be bought from O'Leary's (The Green Shop) in Castlecove. There is a seasonal food store with a fresh bakery at Wave Crest only 2km's away. There is also a shop in Freddie's in Caherdaniel, approx. 5 km's away with a wider selection of products available.

Cozy Cottage Getaway

We enjoyed a much needed long weekend away from city life in London at this cozy cottage. It is in a great location to drive The Ring of Kerry, explore Killarney National Park and adventure the Dingle Penisula. We only wished we would have stayed to enjoy the place a little longer. Could easily spend a whole week unwinding here. We just melted into the sofa, bed and the jetted tub. Very comfortable and relaxing. The view of the sea was perfectly serene. And the bae of the sheep surrounding us was a lullaby. Michael made it a breeze to check in and out. Thank you so much!

An awesome little cottage in perfect location

Better than expected, lovely to stay in beautiful cottage with roaring fire and TV with the option of Jacuzzi tub. Local pubs serve great food and everyone very friendly. Able to then drive around the ring of Kerry and stop off at beach, waterfall, old fort and visit Killarney National Park with plenty of little walks and great opportunities to take photos. The Romantic Couples Retreat

The property has the most idyllic location and is set back up off the road at the top of a single track lane. It is ideally located on the Ring of Kerry and an ideal stop for those touring the area. The cottage was clean and comfortable with plenty of hot water. A choice of heating was available - either conventional central heating or a large stove to burn the locally dug turf. It was just as it is advertised - a Romantic Couples Retreat....and a pretty good one at that! The owners were kind, considerate and inconspicuous, but made a point of checking half way through our stay that we had everything we needed. we would strongly recommend this lovely cottage to friends and family.

Perfect Little Getaway

The cottages location allowed us to explore the Kerry coast and the Killarney National Park while providing the peace and quiet to properly relax and enjoy the warm Irish summer nights. Michael was an exemplary host, meeting us at the cottage, running through the many facilities the property had to offer, while also imparting local knowledge. Michael even attempted to organise a trip to the Skelligs for us, and although his friend was fully booked, this is an example of how Michael goes above and beyond for his guests. The cottage itself was wonderful, the log fire and Jacuzzi bath particular favourites of ours.

Perfect little getaway

Michael was a very accommodating host - he met us on arrival to take us to the house and even got the fire going for us. The house was absolutely perfect, very well equipped, it had everything we needed and more. So cosy and made for a very relaxing weekend. Kerry was fantastic, we loved exploring the area and taking in the stunning local scenery. The house was great, the location was great, we couldn't have asked for a better weekend! Would highly recommend to anyone.

Romantic getaway in a stunning location

Michael the owner could not of done anymore. We arrived late on the Friday night and he had the fire going for us. It was so warm and cozy throughout the cottage. The jacuzzi bath is an excellent touch to help you unwind and forget about your hectic lives. The property is spotless throughout and the four poster bed is a lovely addition. The location is perfect for walks around the area and is also a few minutes drive to a spectacular beach. The beach was amazing we where there each day for a romantic walk, it was very quiet which felt like we had it all to ourselves! There is a shop less than 5 minutes away for all the essentials. And a beautiful couch you can cuddle up in front of the wood/turf fire. We have no hesitation in recommending this cottage and would love to visit again. June and Vinny

Simply beautiful

If you are looking for a place called paradise- this is it! What a beautiful and luxurious little cottage surrounded by a amazing scenery. The sea is only a stone's throw away and can be seen even from the bedroom window. Every single detail in the house is chosen carefully and makes you feel home. Well, this place is even better than home....

Die Ferienwohnung war etwas abgelegen aber trotzdem gut zu erreichen. Sehr sauber und komfortabel mit 2 Badezimmer incl. Toiletten. Gut ausgestattete Küche und ein gemütlicher Wohnbereich. Der Aussenbereich verfügte über einen Tisch mit Sitzgelegenheit wo wir des öfteren gegrillt haben. Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Great Location but Home needs Improvement

Cute house - like the fireplace. Detailed cleaning needed (spider webs all over the place). Several burned-out/non working lights (no bulbs). Was hard to see in the dining room especially. Towells need replacement - they did not seem clean. Squeege can be helpful in the downstairs bathroom as water gets all over the floor by the toilet area when you take a shower.

Perfect place to relax

The place was great. It read quiet relaxing and the coach is perfect. Needs a few light bulbs need to be replaced and one or two glass bowls for food would be a great addition. We completely unwound relaxed and recharged. We will be back.

Lovely house in a beautiful location

This was the perfect place to stay in Kerry. We loved the traditional feel of the house, but appreciated that it had modern conveniences. Both bathrooms were beautifully done. The jetted tub was wonderful, but we also appreciated a high pressure shower. Michael and his family were very helpful and kind, quite welcoming. Food nearby was exceptional, and the shops were near enough to make this a great ‘home’ while we explored all around.

Cosy, romantic, a little haven.

Fabulously finished conversion, with all the feelings of a cosy cottage but mod cons included. Power shower, jacuzzi bath, wonderful big bedroom and couch with a wood burning stove. Did'nt want to leave.

It is a spacious cottage to yourselves. Nestled privately in the hills overlooking the seascape. The cottage is on a working farm (though you have complete privacy from this also if preferred). As such you may even have to opportunity to see some lambs being fed; or sheep being cared for; or sheep dog work!
