All rooms in our 3rd floor apartment benefit from long hours of sunshine and our little balcony looks over the city rooftops and the Four Courts Dome toward the Dublin Mountains. Overlooking the internal gardens and with no road frontage our cosy and luxurious bedrooms will guarantee a peaceful nights sleep to prepare our guests for long days of sightseeing, shopping and exploring our wonderful city.

Home from home

What a wonderful apartment to stay whilst in Dublin. The apartment is spotless, warm and cosy. It is peaceful with no noise around. The beds are really comfortable, plenty of hot water, and lovely bedding and towels. There was also a hamper left for us with basic items for when we arrived. Bernadette was the perfect host, who has everything you would need in the apartment, and her communication was wonderful. We will be back at some. point, and will not hesitate to stay at the Hardwicke. Thank you very much Bernadette. Diane & family.

Brilliant Apartment Amazing City

Lovely Apartment home from home. Central to shops restaurants and tours .Bernadette made us very welcome and most helpful. Would definately recommend the apartment should anyone want a place to stay while visiting Dublin

Wonderful holiday in a warm, cosy and central apartment.

Had the best time here in this apartment. Clean, comfortable, the decor is impeccable, has everything you could ever need under one roof. In an area called Smithfield which has everything you could want for a self catering break, the Fresh supermarket around the corner cooks all sorts of fresh food daily, Asian ,Italian, Indian etc if you do not want to cook. And surrounding it there a few pubs and restaurants. However just a short walk passed the square you arrive right on the Liffey banks where you can stroll to all central parts and sites of the city. Location is spot on, all transport a stones this away if needed. Will definitely return. Thanks for making everything so stress free and enjoyable Bernadette.

Homely apartment close to the heart of Dublin

This apartment is close to the centre of Dublin, it’s shops, the pubs, public transport and the River Liffey. It is a great base for a day out in Dublin or a day trip further into Ireland. There is much to do in Dublin to fill your days. The apartment is in a secure block, is homely and well presented and Bernadette is always helpful for any questions you may have.

Home from Home

This flat is well-located, and all city attractions are easily accessible either on foot on via the hop-on hop-off bus. Everything you could want for a short stay is provided and the comfortable furniture in the living room is just right for relaxing in after a hard day of being a tourist! I and my 2 old schoolfriends, getting together for our annual catch-up, felt at home as soon as we walked through the front door. We didn't meet Bernadette, as she was away, but received prompt and helpful responses to all queries submitted prior to our stay, and her 'deputy', Emma, was very welcoming. A really good base for a visit to Dublin.

Great apartment, friendly owner and easy access to the city

Immaculately clean and tidy apartment with a very friendly owner who clearly takes pride in keeping the place nice. Centrally located within easy walking distance of the city centre with the no83 bus stop right outside the door if needed or the red line luas stop of Four Courts is also nearby. I would strongly recommend the Transport For Ireland (TFI) apps that allow you to easily find bus stops, routes and quickest ways around the public transport system. Overall I would have no hesitation booking this apartment again and anyone will not be disappointed.

Excellent apartment

Bernadette has thought of everything to make this apartment home from home, clean and bright and well equipped. We used the Luas, the bus and the Dart all week they were all easily accessed from the apartment. There were books and leaflets with ideas on what to do, and the welcome goodies were a nice touch too. Thank you Bernadette for allowing us to stay in your lovely apartment we will come back again to see some more of Dublin.

Excellant apartment ,comfortable ,the little things make this an excellent place to stay

Good location with everything in walking distance.Comfortable and well equipped,very clean well maintained.All home comforts you need.The welcoming milk,cakes and crisps on arrival was a nice touch.Bernadette was very helpful and early check in and late check out meant we could spend more time with family.We couldn't recommend this apartment or Bernadette to highly.Were hoping on our next visits that we can stay here again.We will be recommending to our friends.

Lovely clean apartment within walking distance of Dublin city center

Initial reaction when entering the apartment was that the pictures did not do it justice; the actual apartment felt much better than I expected (and very clean). It was well situated, a nice supermarket a short walk away and about 10 minutes walk to get to the center of Dublin/River Liffey. The apartment was well equipped, the only thing we missed (or couldn't find) was a board to cut bread on, but that was easily solved by using a plate. Bernadette was extremely helpful and patient, both in all e-mail conversations prior to arriving and then showing us round the apartment when we arrived. The kitchen had a good store cupboard with many basic necessities in it such as salt, oil tea, etc. All in all, a lovely stay!

Barry & Maddy's Dublin Dream Trip July 2016

Bernadette's apartment is in like-new condition located near Dublin City Center via a 10 minute walk to Dublin Bus or the LUAS commuter rail. The apartment was exactly as advertised, very clean and fresh. Bernadette was there to greet us and show us details for staying. We stayed 11 days and Bernadette stayed in touch to answer questions. I showed the unit to my Irish friends and they were very impressed. I intend to try to book for my next annual trip. I would recommend to anyone visiting Dublin. Barry Hall Atlanta, Georgia USA

Cozy home away from home

A really lovely quiet flat with ample room for 4 adults. Exactly as depicted in the online photos and everything done up to a high standard. Bernadette is a great hostess and goes the extra mile to ensure her guests are happy. (Even dashing down the road when she saw we had taken the long way round en route to the flat on arrival) It was also nice to be able to put our feet up with a nice cup of tea and the treats provided by her, very thoughtful. She also stayed to give us tips on the area and also provided a very handy file with instructions on everything in the flat as well as general tips and ideas for a Dublin stay. The property is under 20 minutes walk away from O'Connell street as well as the Temple Bar district, but if you don't feel like walking a taxi is around 8 euro per trip. Smithfield Plaza/ Square is a short walk away and here you can find nice restaurants (Oscars & Sparks), a very well stocked supermarket, an Irish pub with live music every night (The Cobblestone) as well as a stop for the hop on hop off tour bus outside the Old Jameson distillery. I would definitely recommend this property.

Great once you get situated

Very lovely and pleasant stay overall. Hard to find, us 95 the Hardwick off of Church St and Brunswick near Morninglory Washer dryer combo is impossible to understand how to use. Shower isn't easy either Bernadette is wonderful We would stay there again

Impeccable Hospitality

This apartment really made our New Years visit to Dublin. It was my first time using Homeaway, but if all the owners are like Bernadette then I'll certainly be using this method again. She kept in regular contact prior to our visit and went out of her way to ensure that we had everything we needed. She was very friendly and gave us such a warm welcome - her incredible attention to detail highlighted by the thoughtful and well put together information folder in the apartment. The property itself is modern,warm, clean and spacious, more than comfortable enough for 2 couples. It really made us feel very relaxed and had everything we could need. Plenty of amenities in the area and easy to get into downtown Dublin. We'll definitely aim to stay here again on our next trip to the city!

Fantastic Location

Great apartment, a warm welcome from Bernadette on arrival , welcome pack tea milk orange juice crisps and a cake much appreciated the apartment was very clean in a good location around the corner from Smithfield Square plenty shops places to eat or have a drink a must is the Cobblestone pub great music and atmosphere would defiantly recommend a stay here if you visiting Dublin near enough to walk to city centre but in a nice quiet area to get a sleep we took the airlink bus from airport got off at Oconnell Street then about 10 min walk to apartment 10/10

Highly Recommended Near Smithfield Square

Thrilled with this 2 bedroom upgraded apartment and cute balcony.Everything we needed was provided, very comfortable. The pictures dipicted the lovely furnishings perfectly. Public transportation was close by and we enjoyed Oscars for a drink or great food. The owner, Bernadette, met us upon arrival and was very welcoming with plenty of suggestions. Very happy with our choice!

Really really nice

We went for a weekendtrip to Dublin and found this little oasis. Entering the property for the first time gave us a small "are we right?"feeling, but as we entered the apartment, almost heaven ;-) Our imagination of Ireland is cosy, countrystyle and warm, this apartment has it all. Beside all modern facilities you do or do not need, you simply feel at home. Located a 10 min walk from the city center and with a pub (the cobbelstone) directly around the corner, we had all we needed. Also there is a garage for your car, if needed, so no wishes kept to be desired. Bernadette was, although we never had personal contact, very friendly and explained all necessities via mail to our full satisfaction. Deeply recommended and always again!!! Thank you.

Beautiful Apartment in Renovated 1800s Hospital

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hardwicke. The apartment was beautiful and very well kept. The courtyard was gated and the building remained locked at all times so we had to use a key to enter. We felt very safe. This apartment is minutes from downtown with plenty of pubs and restaurants in the immediate area if you do not want to go into downtown that day or evening. We would certainly rent this apartment again. The owner was very welcoming and very helpful with information including giving us the # for a taxi when we were leaving so that we could easily be on our way. Thanks for being so helpful and wonderful Bernadette!

The best apt you will ever stay in

We just got back from Ireland today and i couldnt wait to leave a review for this wonderful apt. As someone already said this is truly a home away from home. THe owner Bernadette is a real sweet lady, always ready to help and promptly answered all my emails. She went the extra mile to make the apt which is already beautiful even more cuter by adding Christmas decorations. How many apt owners will do this for you? She also left us some milk, orange juice, cake, tea to start our day there. Apt was spotless and so comfortable. Apt is close to everything by walk, Shopping malls 10min, super market 5min, Luas stop 7 min, Guinness/Jameson factory and temple bar also reasonable walking distance. Ben I am so happy I got to meet you i hope we will be back soon and will defo stay again there!!

We have owned this lovely apartment since 1996 and rented it on a long term basis up until 2014. At that point we had the property fully renovated and started renting on HomeAway (VRBO). Presently we use it purely for the enjoyment of our family and friends, but to cover our maintenance costs we let it out to short term guests for a maximum of 30 nights in the year.

Why they chose this property

Our apartment is just around the corner from Smithfield Square. This is the home of the Old Jameson Distillery, and one of the stops on the Hop on/Hop Off Bus Tours. It's also the location of The Cobblestone Pub, one of the best places for a "pint of the black stuff"! The Hardwicke apartments are one block North of this well known Square, but we have the advantage of a quieter neighbourhood. We are also ideally placed between LUAS stops on both the Red and the Green Lines. And as if all that wasn't enough reason to choose our property, we now have a Lidl supermarket just 2-3 minutes walk away!

What makes this property unique

We allow guests to arrive and depart at whatever time of the day or night that suits themselves. We arrange self check in, and leave a welcome pack to help you settle in! We operate a flexible cancellation policy. Cancel at least 14 days before check-in will get back 100% of the amount that you've paid. 7 and 14 days before check-in, you'll get back 50%. Unfortunately for cancellations less than 7 days we are unable to provide a refund
