Enjoy our recently remodeled elegant, 2 story West Salem 2,270 square foot, Colonial home with tall ceilings, located on a quite cult de sac just minutes away from some of Oregon’s highest regarded wineries and short to reasonable drive times to so much more.

Located on the edge of Salem city limits and just a few minute farmland, vineyards, orchards, forests land, for biking and scenic drives. The private backyard is a small oasis which overlooks a small creek at the bottom of the property and unobstructed view of wetlands. A great setting to dine and entertain, relax on the patio, take a hot tub and enjoy watching numerous bird species.

The perfect home base for a great wine country vacation. If you enjoy world class Oregon wine, then consider booking a private tasting at our beautiful Orchard House Estate, home to our Iterum wines. Iterumwines.com.

If high end cuisine and private dining excite you, then consider advance booking with our friend Andre Uribe who will cook for you at Morrow Court, or expertly pair great cuisine with our Iterum wines at our Orchard House Estate. Start your day with a good workout utilizing our equipment in the spacious gym/theater, visit nearby wineries.

Prepare your dinner in our well-appointed kitchen, or upon the backyard Traeger BBQ while sipping on one of our fine wines and enjoying music throughout the home; tall ceilings, lots of natural daylight, original artwork and Brazilian Cherry wood floors and living room fireplace. Dine in the private backyard among numerous flowers and expansive patio/deck with gas fire pit table, or the dining room. After dinner enjoy a movie with surround sound on the large screen TV within the gym/theater and finish the great day in the backyard hot tub or watch the stars from the deck of the master suite during the warmer months or retire to a comfortable bed and bedside fireplace.

If you are in Salem on business utilize the downstairs office/4th bedroom with desk and powerful wireless internet service.

The master bedroom bed has a topper mattress for those who likes to sleep in a soft mattress. If you prefer the firm ones just remove it and put it in the next room.

Fabulous well-appointed home in lovely neighborhood

This home was perfect for our week stay as a family. We traveled with a 2 1/2 year old. The 2 sitting areas and gorgeous back yard area really made it nice for her to play and burn that toddler energy. Also, was wonderful to have outdoor dinners or just sit and enjoy the wonderful weather. The home is beautifully decorated, homey and it is obvious that a family once lived here. The main bedroom and bath area is huge with the gym and is really a suite. The owners are very responsive and want to ensure that guests enjoy their stay. Next time we are traveling as a family to Salem, we will stay at this property.

Graduation trip

We had a great stay. The house was clean and comfortable. Very comfortable beds! The backyard and view were beautiful. The location was perfect for wine tasting and close to the graduation. Check in was easy. Would stay there again. We enjoyed it.

Beautiful Home Minutes From Downtown Salem Oregon

It was the ideal stay for the celebration of life for my mother in law. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped, and the host was amazing. We even extended out stay, and the host was very helpful and accommodating. I would definitely recommend a stay here if anyone is traveling to the Salem area with family.

Very nice home in quiet neighborhood

This home is exactly as shown and very nice with well equipped kitchen (even though we didn’t cook!). We didn’t stay long but the beds were comfy and the host was very responsive to our questions.

Great location, quiet area

We truly enjoyed out stay here. The home was clean and very well kept. Check in instructions were very good and thorough. The location is just outside of town view was park-like in the back. We saw deer in the field behind the house and was very quiet and relaxing. We sat in the hot tub in the rain and was an amazing experience. It is close to town so dinner out and other activities are 10 min away. We came down for a tournament and were very happy. Thank you for your hospitality.

Great house, great location

This property worked perfectly for our family gathering in Salem. We came from across the country to celebrate a landmark birthday so we had many requirements: West Salem, accessible to a walker, and family dining space, just to get started. "Check" to all of those. The house is clean and comfortable. The patio and backyard looked inviting, but the Oregon weather kept us indoors. It must be delightful in the spring and summer--we hope to be back to test that out. A great grocery store, Roth's, is nearby for getting supplies and cooking in. Downtown Salem and a variety of restaurants are not far away across the bridge. You can pick up a carry-out meal and it will still be warm when you get back to the house. We are very happy we were able to stay here!

Great time!

The house was great! I felt it was very comfortable and clean! Beautiful roses on the property and great view in the backyard. All the bedrooms are upstairs and showers too. This was a bit of a challenge for my elderly parents, but an oversight by me not the owner.

Beautiful, clean, comfortable home

We spent the weekend in the Dobbes’ home and loved every minute. From the welcome bottle of wine from their winery to the clean, comfortable home and beautiful patio, everything was top-notch. We received clear, complete instructions for check-in so we knew what to expect. When we got here, we found the home to be well stocked with everything we needed. Note that extra towels are in the hall linen closet. Individually air conditioning for each room was great! Look no further- choose this property for a fabulous stay.

Nice stay

Nice home to stay in with our family. House was well set up and in a quiet place. A quick drive to anything we needed and the pizza place delivered to us without issue ;) The master shower was GREAT. We appreciated the ability to use the washer and dryer--probably the first VRBO we have ever stayed at that supplied ample paper products and cleaning things for the entirety of our stay--THANK YOU. The hot tub was a hit after the long days of hiking. We did think the seating area could use a good weed-pulling and powerwash, but it didn't affect our stay. Owner was quick to respond to questions. Just a pleasant place to be. We would stay again. (PS--The kids loved the neighborhood cat that would saunter by to visit from time to time)

Perfection!

Wow! What a beautiful and comfortable home! We booked this well appointed home for our son's graduation weekend from OSU. It worked out perfect with the many bedrooms, lovely back yard, and spacious kitchen. Joe was very helpful and worked with us to find a local caterer. We would book again without hesitation!

Nice home for gathering

This home was perfect for hosting out of town family for our daughter’s wedding. Kitchen is open to an informal gathering area, and the separate dining area fit us well. The back yard looks out over a beautiful meadow which was a nice view from the hot tub. Lots of backyard seating space as well but the weather didn’t cooperate for us. Home is tastefully decorated.

His start into the wine business was in Germany in 1985 followed by a couple of years of Oregon winery experiences, Burgundy France and then other Oregon winemaking positions before starting his own company wine brands; Dobbes Family Estate and Wine by Joe in 2002.

Joe and his wife live outside of Salem on their 21 acre Orchard House Vineyard Estate vineyard property from which they produce their Iterum wines.
