The Brasstown Creek House is a beautiful, centrally located spot to spend some quality time, whether you're looking for peace and quiet, a base from which to explore the area, a place to stay while visiting family and friends, a place to host a gathering or to take classes at the nearby, nationally known John C. Campbell Folk School.

The Creek House can be found three miles southeast of Brasstown, NC at 8105 Old US 64 in Clay County. The Smoky Mountains surround the Creek House and provide spectacular scenery. The Creek House is situated directly on Brasstown Creek which borders the edge of the Hyatt Farm. What this means to guests is lots of fun; wading, tubing, fishing, hiking, and picnicing. Quieter enjoyments at the Creek House include watching the brown herons stalk up and down the creek looking for a likely spot to catch a few fish, and listening to the creek lull you to sleep.

The river was amazing, the pictures do it no justice. The river is noisy, relaxing and so close. Comfortable stay. We will come again

Relaxing

We both loved staying here. You are right on the creek and in both bedrooms you can open up a French Door and listen to the sounds so relaxing. The hot tub was a great added adventure. We look forward to returning soon.

What a great relaxing Spot

My sister and I had a weekend getaway and wanted some relaxation. This spot was perfect for the sound of running water from the cabin and a nice porch to sit on. The hot tub was a nice added feature. The only suggestion I would make to future renters is that if you plan on cooking in cabin assume that there is nothing available and come with what you need to do the cooking. This would include food and cooking pans. I did not like the pans available. We used them mostly, but we did go buy our own nonstick skillet to use while there. There is no ice maker so you will need to bring ice. They did have ice trays. Also, the WIFI and the TV were not the best connection. I don't know why but the TV only had Netflix, and we got YouTube app on the TV to work but the streaming was only 480P. I think it is an older model TV. Just know that you may want to bring a Firestick or ROKU. Other than having to run to the dollar general on the first night everything was great. I think the price reflected the basic nature of the cabin. I slept great both nights. We did have a visiting pooch from the neighbors one night that had a glowing collar that scared us. We thought it was aliens since all we saw was a glowing orb running on the porch. Haha. We neglected to close the gate on the top deck to prevent this. My sister and I agreed that this was definitely a place we would like to return to. I gave four stars instead of five only because of the kitchen issues which were easy solved.

Technically Correct

The cabin had everything it said it did in the listing. The hot tub was prepped and the place was inviting. The creek was beautiful. The road across the creek was a main route and there is no privacy. Hot tub use during the day or the lights at night could diminish private time. A canopy and a privacy screen would be perfect. The driveway is a shared driveway and vehicles from the farm were very close. Also, close the gate if you don't want furry companions. The cabin could use a good dusting as well 1.5 hours to Tennessee, 15 minutes to Georgia, 10 minutes to Murphy, NC.Nice, needs a few things to be extraordinary

Cabin was cute, but basic. The only complaint I would give is hat here were very few cooking implements like pots and pans and utensils and crockery

Creek House

We enjoyed our stay at the Creek House. It is centrally located near Franklin, Murphy, Hayesville and Blairsville and not far from Ellijay Ga. So if you like antique shopping it’s a perfect place to stay. Summers are perfect for activities that are.around the area also.

The property location was amazing. Overall cleanliness was good. Pricing was appealing and accurate for experience. Both showers had issues with hot/cold indications as when turned to hot we got cold water and hot water from cold side. Would recommend new shower heads as aged and appeared unclean.

Can't beat the creek

Listening to the sounds of the creek and forest will lull you right to sleep. Morning coffee on the porch rocking chairs couldnt have been more relaxing. A deer walked right in front of the property, paused and looked at us as if he was saying good morning.

No more sight unseen reservations

It was my wifes 82 Birthday trip. We arrived following directions to cross a one narrow one lane bridge to a stone road in front of the residence. Parking is a small roundout for a single vehicle. The TV did not work and the Manager was kind enough to come and spend abpout 30 minutes working to get streaming Netflix. No local or other channels. All appliances and mattreses were old and need upgraded. The Jacuzzi was nice. WE DID NOT STAY! I asked if the manager if she would consider a 50% refund and Manager was agreeable. The Manager later called and offer me $100. I replied enjoy the windfall.
