Cozy cabin getaway - Country setting - pond with walking trail

Our house is fully furnished with all of the conveniences of home. Ideal for business professionals and travelers who are looking for an alternative to the hotel/motel scene. All you need are your personal items and a few groceries! Less than 100' from a pond stocked with big Bass, catfish and bluegill. Located in a area that is heavily populated with Amish. Spacious outdoor picnic area with fire pit, and swings.

Conveniently located between Bowling Green, Mammoth Cave and Barren River Lake. (approximately 20 - 30 minutes from each)

Travelers with a trailer have plenty of room to park and turn around. (boats, travel, uhaul)

Fully furnished with washer, dryer, dishwasher, cookware, linens, etc

House rules: NO Smoking, NO pets, NO parties
Not suitable for children under 2 due to the close proximity to deep water.

Cozy cabin on pond

The cabin was so peaceful. We caught lots of bluegill and bass in the pond and watched the Amish buggies trot down the road.

Super Cute Place!

My friends and I loved the location, it was a cute place out in the cabin. Kitchen was adequate for cooking a dinner, easy to check in and leave. Would definitely go back!

Great cabin with fishing

I highly recommend staying here. The cabin was perfect for our family of 4 visit to Mammoth Cave. It was clean and cozy, and had everything we needed. My son was in heaven with the catch and release fishing pond; he caught over 20 fish. We would definitely stay here again.

Relaxing stay

We had a great two night stay at this snug cabin. Our oldest caught her first fish and our kids LOVED the tree swings. Cabin was clean and had almost all kitchen items we needed. Check out requests were reasonable and easy to follow. Nice drive to Mammoth Cave, beautiful scenery and a fantastic view of the stars. Fast communication from owner. The clip-clopping horses and friendly waves from Amish families who shared the road was a wonderful change of scenery. No complaints and would recommend as a great short stay for families with kids 5 and up. Thank you for a great stay!

Peaceful and a perfect retreat

This is an idyllic place! Perfect in every way. I haven't slept so well for years. Dee is definitely a 5 star host!! Between the pond, the clip clop of horse hooves, the sounds of autumn whispering through trees, and the cabin was absolutely perfect in every way!

Great place to stay

The pond was right in front of us. Hubby fished on it. I loved the walk around the lake. Kiddo loved it all. We got there at the right time when yard sales were going on on the whole street. I love seeing all the Amish in the buggies with the horses. Make sure to register for tickets ahead of time if you want to go to Mammoth Cave. We didn't and they were all filled up for all the cave tours. We ended up not going because of that. It didn't matter we still had a great time!

Nice little getaway

Cabin is super cute, very clean with a nice pond we would hace loved to sit by and fish, but the weather didn’t cooperate with us. Blue Grass winery is near so we went there instead. Would definitely stay again!

Total Relaxation!

We needed a vacation from our vacation & this was the perfect spot! We had been on a hiking trip out West & needed to rest before going back to work. The cabin was very clean & neat. The lake was beautiful & we caught about 25 fish. We ventured out to the little store about a mile up the street for snacks. We also went to Mammoth Cave & ended up eating at Miss Bettys in Park City twice!!! This place deserves the 5 star reviews that it gets!

The Coziest Cabin!

This cabin is the most perfect quaint getaway cabin. Everything about it was perfect. Incredibly clean, so comfortable and just what my husband and I wanted! You cannot go wrong staying in this cabin.

This was a great place to unwind. The pond was awesome my boys loved fishing in it and the extra picnic area was a plus owners are very nice would definitely recommend and will come back!

The whole experience was magical, something that cannot be reproduced without the assistance of the LORD almighty. The owner are wonderful people and the set and scenery was something out of a fairytale. If you're looking for a budget friendly magical get away, this is it!

Country Cabin

Great little place to stay at if you’re in the Mammoth Cave area. Close to the National Park, quiet location, and sitting out on the back deck in the evening while looking at the pond was a relaxing way to wind out the day.

Cozy & Relaxing

Loved watching the Amish from the porch and the benches by the pond. The white goose was hysterical to watch. Everything you need is in the cabin from hair dryer, towels to kitchen cookware. The decor was very cute. The washer and dryer -so great to not come home with a sack full of smelly clothes!

Exceptional Stay!

Super easy check-in process. Completely met our expectations… We had sever weather and owners called to make sure we knew where the safety location was and saved us from hiking during a thunderstorm. Close and easy drive to Mammoth Cave National Park. Enjoyed the pond view and back porch sitting and cover carport for our car. Great stay!

Why they chose this property

When we bought this property it was an overgrown, tangled piece of swamp land that just needed to be brought back to life. We have spent 3 years turning it into something next to Heaven on Earth and believe that it can bring a little bit of peace and Heaven to your time away from home.

What makes this property unique

This is the house that love built. It will be our only home when we are too old and tired to take care of the big house and farm. Sitting in the rocking chair, looking out at the pond brings inner peace at the end of a long day. It is big enough and yet small enough that you don't get lost in it.
