Bienvenido a nuestra encantadora cabaña histórica ubicada en el lago Chautauqua. Construido en 1912 por la familia Welch, esta casa histórica bien mantenida está situada en 2. 18 acres w / aprox. 120 'de área privada frente al lago y muelle. Disfrute de las impresionantes vistas y hermosas puestas de sol mientras cena en el porche de casas que da al césped y al lago Chautauqua. El interior de esta casa ha mantenido el encanto de la época pasada pero con las comodidades modernas. El pintoresco pueblo de Bemus Point se encuentra a 8 km. Allí encontrará excelentes restaurantes, tiendas exclusivas y una vida nocturna festiva. La histórica institución Chautauqua se encuentra directamente al otro lado del lago. Es un paseo rápido en bote o 15 minutos en automóvil para disfrutar de las conferencias, conciertos y numerosas clases y programas ofrecidos.

Lovely, lakefront property!

This is a lovely home located on beautiful, large property on Chautauqua Lake. Lots of seating areas for a group of 10 friends, inside and out. Updated, well stocked kitchen and updated bathrooms. Very comfortable beds and nice size rooms. I would love to go back someday!

Wonderful vacation!

3 families with grown kids together had a wonderful stay at this property, even with not so good weather. Instantly comfortable from the moment we arrived. Loved the porch, the lake view, the property, & the house! Rented the golf cart for the week which was huge for the elderly going up & down to the lake. Owner responded right away to our call for help with the outdoor tv. First time that we have considered coming back again as we normally like to always go somewhere new. Highly recommend!

Family Memories at the Lake

The house is beautiful, clean and well appointed. The kitchen has all the needed items for the foodies in the family. Our family enjoyed cozy fire inside on the chilly nights and out at the bonfire ring on warmer ones. The lake is clear and pristine. We had fun on our boat, kayaking, and paddle boarding. The wrap around porch and entertaining areas were perfect for our family. Would highly recommend!!

Large home and yard on Lake Chautauqua

This is a beautiful home. Although we couldn't use the large front porch (which we knew) the house still provided a lot of space for our group. The hosts were responsive to all of my questions. We enjoyed being on the lake even though it was too early in the season to do things on the water. We had some amazing sunsets. And we enjoyed using the fire pit. All of the bedrooms were upstairs and had a view of the lake. The kitchen is large and well equipped with everything we needed to cook and eat meals. There are a LOT of spices available in the house. Checkout was easy and we appreciated not having a large list of things to do at checkout. A couple notes - there are some tricks to both locking and unlocking the door. The hosts provided that information when I asked for it although it would be better if they provided that as part of the check in instructions. The house had toilet paper and dishwashing liquid but didn't have paper towels, trash bags or dishwasher detergent. We left some behind but those items may or may not be there depending on what the previous guests leave behind.

Continuously impressed

This is the 2nd year that we had an Autumn vacation at this house. Upon arrival we did have a small mistake with something (our fault), and the owner reached out immediately with instructions, and was very friendly about the entire thing. I always hate to annoy the owners with questions when renting a home. But I did have to reach out twice with questions and they got back to me immediately and everything worked out so perfectly. (I asked if they had a roku password so i can enter my login info to watch the bills game. They were nice enough to send that. The other question was regarding trying to lock the door near the outside dining table). Instructions were helpful and clear. The home is perfect for our annual book club trip! Theres games and plenty of seating. Plenty of beds and bathrooms. Everything is always spotless clean which i appreciate. Theres space in the cabinets to put our items and snacks. We bring a golf cart to go back/forth to firepit. Its gorgeous here. We will be back for sure! And we love the kitchen here!

The home is lovely and had everything you could need/want. It was very clean upon arrival, location is perfect, great yard and lake views. Our family had a wonderful time and would go back in a heartbeat!

Bat found residing in eave of porch and high algae blooms in lake.

All of the previous reviews of this property are completely accurate. The house is beautiful, the porch and the views were amazing. The house was very well appointed with almost anything you needed. Our first 3 days/nights were wonderful until the 3rd night when we were awaken by a bat flying around in the middle bedroom upstairs. We notified the property manager of the problem and she found out from the owner that there was an attic access in that bedroom. The bat removal company couldn't come out for 3 days so the only solution was to go into the room to remove the bat. When we did this the bat was gone and obviously exited the same way it got in. The health dept recommended that the two sleeping in that bedroom get the rabies vaccines because they had reports of bat with rabies in the area. After our stay, I called the owner to find out more detail from the bat removal company to ease our minds that our children weren't exposed and he said they didn't need to come because he's never had a problem before. I asked if he checked the attic and he said no, it wasn't necessary. The owner was defensive and in my opinion did not handle the situation properly for someone who is renting their home. If this were my home I would want to make certain I didn't have a bat infestation. We did find one residing in the eave of the front porch that night. I wouldn't recommend staying at this property with out confirmation that this situation was handled properly by a professional.

Amazing Property

This property has the feel of the classic Chautauqua Lake home with all the upgrades to meet your modern needs. Amazing view of the lake from the gigantic porch. Beautiful sunsets. Moonlight bouncing off the lake. Most of all, quiet. Definitely one of the nicer places we've stayed at when visiting. Enjoy!

Beautiful spot

While our timing was spring, the fireplace and sunset on the porch tells you this place would be magical during the summer months and even Fall. Super responsive owner/manager and the house is exactly like the photos. Loved it.

Absolutely perfect

I cannot say enough good things about our stay. Everything was exactly what you would want for a vrbo stay. The location and views were incredible. I messaged the owner about a couple very random things and they were kind enough to reply almost immediately. (ie: i asked if theres a dishwasher machine... and there is!). We walked in and it smelled so fresh and clean. The house was spotless. The kitchen is completely updated and much larger than it appears in the photos. The water faucet over the stove was a hit with our girls! The dining room table was huge and we all sat there and played games and had breakfast etc. all the drawers and shelves were cleaned out leaving only necessary items (pots, pans, plates, silverwear, toaster etc). I cant stand when rentals have drawers full of junk with no room to put your food and munchies. This had plenty of space. There was a separate dry-bar area with cabinet space. The bathrooms were spotless. Each room had fans and extra blankets. One room stood out because ut had a giant window overlooking the lake. Beautiful. The porch was my dream porch. It wrapped around and had pull down blinds that ive never even seen before on other porches. They were heavy and kept the rain out. And easy to put up and down. They even had a zipper where you can unwrap it to be able to look out at the water even if it was raining. There was cornhole game on porch and a tv so we could watch The Bills game. I cant say enough good things. We will be staying here again.

Amazing large porch

My family had a wonderful 2 weeks at this charming old home. The owners renovated the home but kept all the wonderful character of the house with modern conveniences. Gorgeous kitchen and bathes with a beautiful large porch where we spent most of our time if we weren’t down by the water. It’s a long walk to the dock with a harder walk up but was good exercise! If you have small children, an adult needs to be down there because you can not see them from the house because of trees and it was too far. Not a problem for us since everyone wanted to have fun on the water. The owners were a pleasure to communicate with and we would love to return to this lake house and create more memories. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with our family!

Wonderful Family Vacation

We had a great week at the house. The property is beautiful inside and out. Plenty of room for the 11 of us. The sleeping porch rooms were a bit warm the first couple nights, but then the weather cooled off. We spent a ton of time on the amazing porch. We will definitely come back again!

Beautiful home, Luxury experience

We absolutely loved staying at this Chedwel property. The home features luxury finishes, enormous wrap around porches, and ample yard space leading up to the lake front. It was perfect for our 4 families that stayed for a week. We hope to be back soon!

Beautiful place to come together

Lots of small bedrooms for different couples in the upstairs, lots of open spaces on the lower floor to spend time during the day. Over the course of a long weekend, we cooked as a family in the eviably equipped kitchen, had an intimate dinner in the indoor dining room, watched videos together in the living room, and had an outdoor cookout/dinner on the porch. The property is exactly what it looks like in the photos, or better, and served us well for our mini family reunion.

Amazing property!

I would 1000% stay here again, this is a gem where the pictures do not do it justice. Tons of room for food storage and an awesome cooking set-up. The chairs are comfortable. The lake is so pretty and the views are amazing. We stayed in the winter, but hope we can come back in the summer at some point.

Perfect stay in a beautiful house

We absolutely loved our stay. The house was beyond our expectations -- everything is updated and beautifully done. Plenty of large bedrooms, comfortable beds and linens, a nicely stocked kitchen. The deck was a great place to relax with a book. The view is exceptional and the grounds are well taken care of, offering plenty of space for kids to run and skip stones in the lake.
