BEWARE ! Not as advertised

This house is in desperate need of repair - and cleaning. The pool and “cool spa” (which is actually a broken hot tub) were not working during our entire stay. We waited two separate days for maintenance - they never came. House was filthy, furniture covered in food and stains. Also broken furniture/chairs throughout. We’ve never had such a bad experience

Great location, needs a deep clean.

PHENOMENAL location & views. Needs pest control- brown spider came out of cupboard. 6 cockroaches found around different rooms of home. Small bugs in sink. Also, message confirming hot tub can be heated up, when looking around property unable to find temp control- reach out to property mgmt during stay & they say it can be heated but informed us there would be a charge which was never told to us in the original message. We had to pick up another dog’s poop when we first arrived in the backyard as that didn’t seem clean out back either.

Great house

The house was just as advertised. Clean and everything in great shape. We had all we needed there for a great vacation. Only problem we had was a homeless guy staying just off the path to the beach. It had the ladies kind of leery walking to the beach.

Wonderful!

The house is just as pretty as the pictures, and the top floor balcony was a wonderful spot for a family dance party. We have just about everything we needed, and our extended family was very comfortable. We loved discovering the game Telestrations, and all of the great touches, like the bikes and beach chairs. We loved how close the Seaside community was from the house. It made for a very memorable family beach trip.

Great vacation!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We come to 30A every year and this was probably the best year yet! We've dealt with many realties throughout the years and Blue Swell was fantastic - good communication before and during, plus swift action with a minor maintenance issue. Pros: This house is spacious - we loved the large dining table and kitchen island. The boardwalk to the beach is immediately outside the back yard - so close! It's a public beach entrance, but there's no parking places so the beach wasn't crowded. The back yard and the cabana by the pool were well used by our family! The door alarms to the pool area worked well and were up high where the kids couldn't reach them. We also enjoyed the balconies - and yes, you can see the water (but not the sand) from the 3rd and 4th floors. Cons: The fancy stove is tricky and only uses its brand of pans. They provided pans but they were all scratched up. I always bring my own frying pan for that very reason, but couldn't use it. Yes, you can hear street noise in the house but it wasn't that bad when we were there. The only door with a keypad goes directly into the 3-bunk room, so no privacy in that room. Some mattresses were better than others but we didn't need them all so we just moved to another one. All in all, the cons were minor and we had a wonderful stay!

Senior Trip Get-a-way

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were a group of mom and graduating senior sons. The time we had at this property was amazing. Access to the beach was so close and made our stay so enjoyable! The house was perfect for our large group needs.The only exception to a wonderful stay was the dishwasher. With some attention to what might be a more permanent solution, the house will be at 100%. Thank you for having us and for providing a home and location that made our time so perfect!

A great time

This house was great for our group of two families with 7 children. Proximity to the beach is great and salable/bikeable to seaside. Loved the house!

Horrible experience

The aggressive property manager kicked us out on bogus complaints. Said we had underage drinking when there was no witness and no tickets given. He had no regard for safety of 17 people at 8:00 at night. Gave us 45 minutes to get out. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I will NEVER stay in a Blue Swell Property EVER. It’s a racket.

Perfect for large groups!

Rented this home for a large bachelorette trip and it has more than enough room for all of us. The location is great and it’s a short private walk to the beach! Really enjoyed my experience!

Great for winter break!

We loved our stay over winter break. The house easily accommodated our extended family and the fenced yard was an added bonus for our dog. Location was great -- steps from the beach and only a short walk or bike ride to Seaside. We hope to return soon!

Great Getaway!

Our stay was great. We had our annual Christmas party and white elephant gift exchange. The home was spacious yet cozy at the same time. Great for family events or group events! Love the privacy with the pool and close proximity to the beach.

Lovely house and perfect yard

We stayed with our daughters and their family and had a fantastic time. Very easy access to beach without having to cross the highway. The home and furnishings were very comfortable and the outdoor space amazing including multiple balconies to enjoy the sunset. I look forward to coming back!

Bachelorette trip

The house was very nice. It was spacious and all 17 attendees had beds with room to spare. Be aware that sprinklers are on auto. We had a rental company come to our home for outdoor movie night and the sprinklers went off! We were unable to shut off. If you think you’ll be grilling while on your stay it will interfere.

Our only issue was the pool pump not working which they sent the repair man the day we left and both master bedroom TVs did not work. We contacted Blue Swell multiple times about the TVs and no one come to fix the TVs. Would not have mattered if weather was nice but with rain no TV was an issue. The house was the perfect location just steps from the beach and a short bike ride to the square. It’s perfect for two families with multiple kids plenty of space to spread out!

Great trip (once we got there)

Unfortunately, we were involved in a multi-vehicle accident in AL on our way to the property. Once we got there, the house was awesome, property management responsive and the location was excellent. Suggestions for the owner is at least for spring, offer heating the pool; and put a ceiling fan in the upstairs master. For visitors, consider renting bikes and at least during spring break season, buy enough food so you don't need to eat out given the crowds. Again, we'd return to this property....

Family and friends trip

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at this location with another couple and our young children. The location was great, a mile from Seaside and just a short walk down the stairs to the beach. The house had a lot of stairs but at least it was good exercise. Views on the rooftop were great. Had a couple maintenance issues but the management company responded very promptly, one of which was the AC on the 3rd floor, but even after fixing it, it still didn't seem to keep that level very cool, but it was cool enough at night so it didn't bother us too much. Kitchen could have used a couple potholders (couldn't find any) and they only supplied one dishtowel, also didn't see any start washing detergent which I usually see at other rentals so you may want to bring some if you plan to wash clothes. Overall, this was a great house with a great location!
