Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Driftwood has a fabulous huge kitchen and dining area! So open with lots of countertop work space and not closed off from others in the den. Lots of well stocked cabinets. One bathroom is quite small, but has everything you need...ALMOST! Bring your own hairdryer! We enjoyed a nice walk or bike ride to the beach too. Coffee each morning outside was a great way to start our days. We WILL be back! ☺️

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great place for 7 adults and baby. Living and kitchen/dining areas very spacious. Be aware bathrooms are small especially the one in hallway (extremely tiny) but they are full baths. Great location especially for quiet street and not very far walk or bike ride to beach. Definitely recommend Vaykgear delivery/pickup for bikes and other outdoor gear. House is more than enough supplied with any kitchen items needed. If you want to cook and save money they even have a slow cooker and insta pot and all kinds of cookware and dishes.

Driftwood was the most accommodating and well-appointed house we have stayed in to date. The owner left his number by the phone and even called and left a message on the machine to check in with us. There was much attention to detail for the purpose of making our stay more comfortable. We will absolutely stay at this cottage again next year available.

Loved it!

The house was perfect for our guys golf trip! It was located right next to the golf course and close to restaurants. We used the grill two nights. Will definitely stay here again next year!

Perfect Family Get a Way

The location quiet with a gorgeous back yard. Per the notes in the house journal, the owners stay in the home Oct - Apr every year and the house reflects that. The beds and furnishings are comfortable, the kitchen very well stocked. Lots of extras in the kitchen with spices, small appliances, serving dishes and cookware and bakeware. Wonderful that the kitchen table is able to accommodate the number of guests staying in the house (a frequent miss in many rentals). Enjoyed everything about this and we look forward to staying here again in the future.

Peaceful Retreat

What a pleasant place Driftwood was. We were surprised at the spaciousness of the property. The kitchen was fully stocked, which allowed us to prepare any meal we wanted. There was plenty of space for everyone and the beds were comfortable. There are many TVs. The main living room TV had access to all of our streaming platforms. The island is great! There are plenty of activities for the whole family. We enjoyed a fishing trip, a historic tour and a sunset dolphin tour. Since the property is a little bit of a walk, we chose to drive to a different beach each day. All were similar and pleasant. Also, there is a growth restriction on the island, so there are a few large hotels, but they do not create the overcrowding like many beaches. There is also minimal traffic. The property was a 10 minute walk from a sizable beach. The beaches on Jekyll are hard pack, so you can easily role a wagon full of stuff to your sunning location. For what ever reason, the waves are not large on Jekyll, so if you’re looking to get pummeled all day, this is not the place. The coolest part of the property is the abundant wildlife. We had a small herd of deer that visited our property everyday. They seem to have little fear of people and just went on about their business as we did our daily activities. Be mindful of the raccoons though. There is a reason they are called trash pandas. They were nightly, loud visitors to our cans. We will return to this place.

October 2022 Stay

Lovely neighborhood! Fully stocked kitchen with crockpot & everything we needed. The nonstick frying pan was pretty scratched up & should be replaced. We kept getting phone calls on the land line which was very annoying - wish we could turn the phone or ringer off. Two master bedrooms were great for privacy. Back yard was gorgeous & peaceful. Easy walk to beach.

Wonderful!

This was a great place to stay while on Jekyll Island. House was in a very quiet neighborhood, we were minutes from the beach. The outdoor shower was nice, needs a little cleaning from spiders, webs & leaves. Overall we would definitely stay here again!
