Good stay

Just right for what we needed. 3 pairs of adults stayed here to visit the area. Top floor bedroom had smallish beds but ok. Great price and everything works. Could do with a bit of updating but generally in good order. Lovely and quiet.

We were in this house for a week and had a pleasant stay. The house was cosy and well equipped. There are a lot of interesting places to visit. Definitely recommended!

Simply Superb !

This was our second visit in consecutive years The location is very conveniently located in the quaint country village yet close to every facility you may need ( even easy to catch train to Paris for a day out) The cottage is very well presented and looked after and a credit to the owners Highly recommend a visit !!

Comfortable and quiet stop before the long drive home.

A very peaceful place to get a good nights sleep before the Calais crossing and drive home. Could do with some better curtains and blinds to help the children get an early night.

Spacious, well-equipped house. Nice owners. We were invited with the children to come and see the animals on the nearby farm. Good beds! Con: the bathroom stays wet and had a bad smell.

Lovely traditional French cottage. Everything we needed for our stay. There was a little confusion with the rooms as the listing stated 3 bedroom and also 4 bedrooms but said sleeps 8. So we were confused. However when we got there there was 4 bedroom. Really spacious rooms. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Lovely week, hope we will return !

We booked Little Wissant because we have 2 young children who don’t relish long journeys in the car. Being only 15 minutes from Calais we were not sure what to expect. We need not have worried, we were in a lovely farming village and the property was beautiful. Much larger than we expected with a large garden Little Wissant was a great choice. Well equipped yet rustic - the girls enjoyed the run of the converted loft with toys. Check in and check out were easy - the owners are friendly but we were left to our own devices for the week. It would have been a waste to only stay 1 night. Day trips from the property are almost limitless. Each road out of the village has its own character and soon ends up in rural northern France which is much underrated. We did Agincourt, Montreuil, Le Touquet-Paris-Plage, Nausicaa, Les 2 Caps and St Omer. It would have been easy to do a completely different but equally interesting itinery - especially when the kids are old enough for world war 1 and 2 history. So all in all highly recommended and we hope to return some day soon! Merci The Lancaster’s of Woking

Le Petit Wissant is a traditional French Gite in a small village close to the channel ports and the Opal Coast. The gite is very quirky as you would expect - main bedroom is huge, second double is cosy but there are two access doors so you don't have to climb over each other. There is a super little bedroom for an older child on the ground floor and an amazing twin children's bedroom up in the eaves. This has a huge play area set up for the children - no so good for adults due to the sloping ceilings. Our grandchildren tend to get up in the night so we thought it was a bit dangerous for them to sleep up there as the floors also had different levels due to beams - other children will cope fine. Everything was in the gite that you could possibly need, including a washing machine and dishwasher. Towels and bed linen are not provided as the norm but are available on request for a reasonable fee and we took this option but you do need to ask. There is also a cleaning fee to be paid. There is good wifi and digital TV but you need to have a knowledge of French as there were no English channels. Alhough in a very quiet and peaceful location, a few minutes drive on roads with no cars you are at the local shops and towns and the coast is no more that half an hour away. Plenty of museums and landmarks to visit too. We plan to return again next year. A great find and a great stay.

Heel leuk vakantiehuis! Alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig. Niet heel erg schoon. Grote omheinde tuin maar als er gasten zijn in de andere woning op het grondstuk moet je steeds opletten of de poort dicht is en kun je de hond alleen in overleg los laten lopen.

Sehr charmantes, altes Landhaus.Die Kommunikation mit den Vermietern schnell und gut.Das Bad braucht dringend eine Renovierung.Das Haus ist groß und mit liebevoller Dekoration gemütlich.Es war alles was man so braucht da.Das Beste ist der große eingezäunte Garten.Dichte Randbepflanzug(Hecke,Büsche,Bäume)und eine große Rasenfläche macht das Grundstück zu einem Paradies für Hunde und deren Besitzer:)

Inoubliable

Un séjour inoubliable dans un gîte formidable. La maison est très spacieuse et jolie, le jardin est incroyable et règne un calme appréciable en vacances. Tout est fait pour qu'on s'y sente bien. Un chouette espace jeux pour les jeunes enfants est prévu au premier étage. Les chambres sont très bien décorées. Nous avons été particulièrement touchés par la flexibilité des horaires de location et de la gentillesse des propriétaires. Nos 6 enfants/ados ont adoré ce séjour et les mamans en gardent un merveilleux souvenir. Nous n'hésiterons pas à faire du bouche à oreille pour conseiller cette location ! Merci pour tout.

Super Unterkunft für größere Gruppen

Das Haus ist groß und mit Allem ausgestattet, was man in einer Ferienwohnung benötigt. Es ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und die Betten sind hervorragend. Allerdings müssen wir uns anderen Rezensionen anschließen, die sagen, dass Bad und WC veraltet und nicht mehr schön sind. Trotzdem ist volle Funktionalität gegeben. Interessant ist sicherlich die Option, das zweite Haus auf dem Gelände zu buchen und mit einer größeren Gruppe zu verreisen. Gut zu wissen: Auf den Fotos fehlt ein Zimmer im EG. Hierbei handelt es sich um ein winziges aber total hübsches Kinderzimmer mit Einzelbett. Also sind im EG zwei Doppelzimmer und ein Einzelzimmer. Im Dachgeschoss sind zwei Einzelbetten und ein großer Vorraum mit einigen Spielgeräten für jüngere Kinder. Die Einrichtung ist sehr durchdacht. Entgegen anderer Bewertungen empfängt der Fernseher ARD und ZDF. Wenn man diesen Ort bucht, muss einem bewusst sein, dass man circa 8 Minuten zu den nächsten Einkaufsgelegenheiten fahren muss. Es ist ein reiner Wohnort. Aber als Ausgangspunkt für Erkundungen der Gegend liegt das Haus ideal. Es gibt in unmittelbarer Nähe einen Verkaufsautomaten vom Bauernhof, wo man einige grundlegende Lebensmittel bekommt. Für Hundebesitzer und Menschen mit kleinen Kindern ist das große Gelände sicherlich ein weiterer Pluspunkt. Wir können das Haus weiterempfehlen und würden es noch mal buchen.

Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt mit kleinen Einschränkungen.

Wir waren für eine Woche 6 Personen und 3 kleine Hunde. Für 6 Personen ist das Haus aus meiner Sicht von den Schlafplätzen her zu klein, da von uns keiner die Schlafmöglichkeit unter dem Dach nutzen wollte, dort ist es eigentlich nicht zumutbar. 5 Personen haben aber gut Platz. Das Grundstück ist super und hat mehr als genug Platz für Kinder oder Hunde, da besteht viel Auslauf. An das Grundstück grenzt noch ein anderes Haus, das ebenfalls vermietet wird. Was uns fehlte sind Gartenmöbel und ein Sonnenschirm, der auch funktioniert. Es ist zwar ein riesiger runder Tisch da und Barhocker, aber es ist schwierig, den Tisch je nach Sonne zu verstellen. Wir hatten trotzdem viel Spass in diesem Haus. Die zweite Wochen waren wir nur noch 2 Personen und 1 Hund, da ist das Haus dann wirklich genial, da für 2 Personen ein tolles Schlafzimmer vorhanden ist. Insgesamt haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Zu den Vermietern hatten wir wenig Kontakt, diese haben uns aber eine Schale mit köstlichen Erdbeeren gebracht.

Très bon séjour campagnard

Nous avons passé de très bons moments dans cette région. La propriétaire nous a donné d'excellents endroits de visite. Entre autre le dragon de Calais. Audresselles était notre coin "mer" et bien sûr Nausica à Boulogne. Très bon endroit de vacances au calme.
