Beware

This home is not family friendly. There were exposed wires through the house. TVs were not connected to anything and were not smart TVs, WiFi did not work, front door was difficult to close, and a window was missing, but patched with duct tape. On a brighter note, the management company was great. Quick to respond and helped us find an alternative location at the same price point.

Hot! 🔥

Our did not work properly the entire time we stayed. We reported it to the leasing company only to be told that it worked last week and we would be charged if they sent someone and there wasn’t anything wrong with it. They ended up sending a technician who did find the problem but was told he couldn’t replace the part.

Not as described/pictured

The description clearly states that there is a front patio with a picnic table and that the driveway can fit up to 4 vehicles. There is no front patio with picnic table, and the palm trees are so overgrown that I could barely fit my one car there. The listing also states there is a large shower, which is not the case. The shower is a small enclosure with no lighting, making it so the curtain has to be open to even see. Also, the listing has a dishwasher, yet there is not one. Two of the windows have literal duct tape over it as there is no pane. The blinds are damaged or missing. The bathroom sink looks like it could fall off any moment. The furniture in the living room is heavily worn, not even remotely new. The second bed in bedroom 2 has a permanent indentation. It rained overnight and we walked out to the front porch being flooded. The carpet was soaked and rotten wood was visible. The biggest concern of all is that the door with the main lock barely closes. It takes maneuvering to get it to close and lock. Just about the only accurate part of the listing is its proximity to the beach. We were given the code to check in at 4 pm. We arrived shortly thereafter only for the cleaning people to be there and tell us it would be longer. It was after 5:00 pm before we could access the unit. Sent my concerns to the company with no response as how to rectify this situation. Would not have minded as much if the description was accurate and the price reflected as such.

Discusting, infested with bigs. Air unit wouldnt keep up to keep house cool. Refrigerator was not cold, ruined our food. I did communicate with property managers. She said technician checksd it out and it was all in working order. No broom or anything to clean messes in floor. Horrible experience . Location was good, i just have to say to say, if the property isnt respected by property management company owners need to know. Repulsive do not rent. And i would w I did commu icate with

Do not Stay here

This property was not as described! Upon arrival the shades were all broken Upon entry the floors were filthy and stained The home smelt like moldy mothballs. The kitchen was poorly stocked two glasses The fridge and the freezer was dirty No I’ve trays fir ice The oven moved when we opened the door to check it The smoke alarm was missing in kitchen even though it was dated that it was installed. The drawers in the fridge were cracked. There was dishwasher detergent but no dishwasher! No dish draining rack or dish rags to wash dishes. The back porch was rotted and dangerous. The bathroom light had a short and kept going out. None of the TVs worked and you could get no channels. But the real kicker was the AC didn’t work we called on Saturday a AC guy came on Sunday evening and could not fix it so we continued to suffer in an 80+ degree house. The bathroom had towels no wash cloths. You couldn’t open windows most were painted shut! We tried to find another place for the weekend but they were booked up. We ate out the whole time because the kitchen had a horrible urine smell and bugs. This is the worst rental ever definitely not what we are accustomed to especially for the prime rate they charged.

I had to go to the Er the Wednesday before it was time to leave on Friday the doctor told me not to go so I tried to cancel and had so many problems. If you guys not gonna honor the cancellation don’t have people get the insurance

Cottage not ready

This cottage has broken screens, mopheads and various boards & debris at the front and back entrance. The rug was so dirty our baby was covered in black after crawling across living room for about 4 minutes, and also our feet before we realised we needed to wear shoes inside. There were cockroaches dead and alive inside and out. There were pretzel crumbs, dead bugs underneath living room fold out couch, the washer was broken, the televisions were not user friendly and we could not use, several outlets in main bedroom did not work. Otber than the fresh towels and bedsheets laid out, it simply felt like they forgot we were coming....or perhaps they didn't finish preparing for us. Front and back decks are broken up and felt weak in spots as well as nails popping up. There's is no picnic table as photographed. This house needs TLC before continuing to rent out. I have asked for half of my money back on this rental property. So far I've only received less than 10% back. Please make sure owners repair these problems before renting it to vacationers again. Safety issues and cleanliness issues. Thank you.

Not at all as described

Seemed fine, at first, management was very responsive - until I contacted them about issues. The home was clearly not cleaned. None of the TVs worked in the home, none of the cable boxes worked. Very few outlets in the home actually had power. Outside deck was torn up and dangerous to walk on or around, there was not seating as the ad stated. On first full day there landscapers were there trimming trees and left piles of sharp palm leaves around home, my children/grandchildren could not walk around outside due to this and the faulty deck. My 2 year old grandson found a pill on the living area floor (because it was not cleaned) and slipped on the grease buildup on the tile floor in the kitchen. The sheets were dirty and not changed upon arrival on the king bed, sheets were in the dryer and we had to change the bedding ourselves - touching dirty linens from the renters previous is disgusting. The bathroom smelled of urine in the shower and the drain was clogged with hair and crap so clearly was not cleaned. Overall filthy and upsetting. Home is poorly maintained with broken windows. Ad states there are amenities that do NOT exist.

Disappointed....upset

Check in was 4pm...however, we arrived a bit late...7:30pm....although the location was perfect - across the street from beach access - we just couldn't get past the fact how neglected and dirty the place was. The front deck was rotted, burned, and missing pieces (with various nails exposed). The front door could barely close. The kitchen was nasty - food left in the frig, kitchen drawers and cabinets had no liners (paint peeling) and various crumbs (???) & trash in the all the kitchen drawers and cabinets. Under the sink the dish drain was dirty and seemed to have droppings in it. The stove was dirty and had old used foil in bottom of it. The shower faucets were stripped - water was spraying out of pipe next to the wall. Once the water was on, it took several attempts to get it turned off. We did call an emergency work order number but they did not seem too concerned that night. They came the next day while we were at breakfast but we were never told this. Also, there was built up sand left in the corners of the shower. The shower drain was not attached at all leaving the drain exposed. NONE of the 3 TVs were fully functional - the living room TV did not work at all. The other 2 TVs in the bedrooms were limited to 3 channels (all outdated 1970 type channels). The grill was left dirty with used charcoal in the bottom of it. The living room carpet was nasty - stained and full of sand...and whatever... the living room furniture smelled and parts of it was broken. The living room tables had various glass/food stains on them....they had not been wiped at all. The front shades were damaged and needed to be replaced. We called several local hotels but nothing was available.....the property manager offered to have cleaning return but since we were unable to relocate (NO hotels available) we had already purchased cleaning items and decided we would have to east out every meal. We were NOT offered any reasonable nor acceptable resolution based on the fact that we paid a decent price and expected a decent clean place to spend 3 days with our grandson. Instead we were stuck in a nasty neglected home that should not be presented as a vacation rental. We feel we have no recourse but to post this review in the hope we keep others from going thru the same experience.

A deal for the location

I wish I could leave a scratch and sniff picture of the MOUNDS of trash left when we pulled up. Two trashcans were overflowing with trash, bags piled next to them. Leaving the house everyday made us gag and the interior of our cars smelled after our stay. The bed sheets, pillowcases, and comforters were covered in sand and were obviously not washed, so we had to go to the store to purchase detergent before we slept that night. There were no cleaning supplies for the sand that was inevitably tracked in because there was no outdoor water shower, so we also purchased a broom and mop (that we left for future guests). The kitchen wasn't stocked with an adequate amount of dishes or cookware. The living room coffee table was held together by a hope and prayer... and a few screws, so we avoided that. HOWEVER, for the price and location I would probably book again. Can't beat walking across the street to the beach without paying that beachfront price. I know what to expect out of the vacation spot now.

Needs a little TLC

The house was nice just needs some TLC. Only complaint.... kitchen is not stocked for the number of people it sleeps. There were only 3 coffee cups, 2 plate, 1 actual cereal bowl. Had to go buy plates & cups!! NO ice trays, no ice maker! Also.... please leave more than 1 dish towel & rag.

House review

The house was fine. It looks some time to get the receipts correct. I had to call and walk into the the office 3 times to get everything correct. Too many people telling me they couldn't help and what I requested couldn't be done. However when I originally inquired about my stipulations before renting. I was assured it was possible. This was extremely frustrating. The house was in decent condition, however the doors dont really lock. The bathroom sink is falling off the wall and there are several cats living in the walls and ceiling. You can hear them while sleeping. The house needs attention... With that being said, it's in a great location, right across from the beach.

Great for family vacation...

Located directly across from beach access, not around hotels, walking distance to food and shops, furnished, and deposit was returned in a timely manner. Great price for a good location. I would recommend staying here.
