Prairie four square built in 1913 in the Blackstone district of Omaha. This home has been lovingly restored and updated to be comfortable for groups up to 12. All new heating and air, electrical and plumbing, fire alarms for safety. Fully equipped kitchen and dining room, great room and TV area, powder room and laundry on first floor. Separate play areas for children with books and games for all ages. Landscaped backyard off large deck. Four off street parking spots available. Four bedrooms on second floor (2 with queen bed, one with king bed and one with queen bed and daybed with pull out trundle,) a full bath and a 3/4 bath. Third floor includes family room area, daybed with trundle and 3/4 bath. Located in recently revitalized Blackstone District with variety of restaurants and bars, nearby Midtown Crossing includes more restaurants, a park with outdoor concerts in the summer, shops and a theater. Centrally located with short commute to UNMC, UNO, Creighton, TD Ameritrade Ballpark, CHI Health Center Arena and Convention Center, Old Market District, Henry Doorly Zoo, Lauritzen Botanical Gardens, Joslyn Art Museum. Rental bikes and scooters available in Midtown Crossing. *Please note - we do limit to 12 guests and do not allow gatherings beyond the guests staying at the house.

Beautifully designed and stocked

Our stay was perfect from the time we arrived to departing. This house is beautifully decorated and cared for. The kitchen, bathrooms, etc are all well stocked. The sitting areas are great for gathering and conversations. The hosts were easy to contact before our arrival and as needed. They welcomed us with 2 loaves of bread, butter and chocolates...perfect and unexpected. We would definitely stay here again.

Historic Excellence

We thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas trip to Omaha at Tiger’s and Wendy’s home. The restoration is simply amazing and my family had lots of fun just looking around and enjoying the beautiful house. Located right in Blackstone historic district with lots of restaurants and bars within easy walking distance. Tiger and Wendy are the perfect hosts. We will definitely stay here again!

Wonderful and Unique

From check in to check out the property owners were wonderful. We were welcomed by the owners with fresh bread and some fun treats. Home is beautiful and kept up well. We had a group of 8 adults that all needed a little bit of space to themselves, and this home was perfect for that. Location is so much fun and lots of things to enjoy within walking distance. Wedding at Joslyn castle, evenings in the local pubs, ice cream and fresh baked cookies. We enjoyed our stay, Thanks you!

beautiful house in a perfect spot

The house was perfect for our large family to stay together for a wedding weekend. Easy walking distance to the Cottonwood Hotel and neighborhood dining, etc. The house is beautifully restored and host Wendy met us upon arrival

Fabulous house in a fabulous location!

We thoroughly enjoyed our Omaha visit at this property. The house is very conveniently located close to downtown and within walking distance to several restaurants, pubs, and boutique shops. The interior is very nicely decorated and updated with cozy charm. I don’t know when we’ll get back to Nebraska again, but if we do, we would love to stay here again. Highly recommend.

Hidden Gem

This house has been restored with love and attention to creative details such as "find the fairies and fairy doors hidden in non-conspicious places" and partaking in locally made candy and bread generously provided by the hosts. Nooks and crannies for young people to explore. Beautifully decorated with interesting things from the past. Highly recommend this house. C

Fantastic home

Such a beautifully restored home, centrally located and wonderful hosts. My dad and brothers came in for the College World Series and could not have been happier with our stay. Highly recommend this property. Hoping to come back again next year.

Wedding Perfection!

My husband and I stayed at this lovely home to prepare for our son’s wedding here in Omaha. Heritage House easily accommodated family members who traveled in to celebrate with us over the Thanksgiving holiday. This home was well equipped and centrally located to all designated venues. Tiger and Wendy are great hosts, and they were very easy to contact and returned our messages promptly. All who stayed with us enjoyed the accommodations. Thank you so much for making our stay memorable.

Great Family Bonding

The house was perfect. Very clean and a lovely decor. Loved the location, it was easy getting into and out of town. We enjoyed Omaha and their Blues weekend. Hosts are great to work with.

Couldn't be happier!

We were in Omaha for an 80tth birthday celebration. We couldn't be happier with our choice of houses! The house was beautiful, immaculately clean, had all the comforts we could possibly need. You can see that the owners care about their guests. The neighborhood was nice and close to everything we needed. Would highly recommend!!!!

We loved everything about this property. Check in was easy and Tiger and Wendy were extremely helpful. This house is well stocked with everything you could possibly need for your stay. The locations of all of the bedrooms being on the second and third floor made it an ideal home for night, owls, and early birds to be on the first floor. Additionally, there are little details everywhere in this home such as: a beautiful stained glass window of a tree in Four seasons and cute little doors throughout. Check out was also an easy process. If it wasn’t for the fact that we live on the east coast, and this home is a Nebraska, we all agreed that we would stay again!

Beautifully renovated 3 story home in fun area for food / parks

We really enjoyed this beautiful home! Multi-generational family in town for a wedding. Plenty of room for everyone, large common areas to visit in and spacious bedrooms. Decorated with unique and beautiful eclectic treasures. Linens and towels and soaps very high-end luxurious. Walking distance to restaurants and the best ice cream place ever. Quick drive to Arches Park (wow!) and the zoo. Highly recommend.

Nice and Roomy

We stayed here with our high school track team for the Nebraska State Track Meet and had plenty of room with plenty of amenities. Kitchen was great, beds were comfortable, bathrooms were clean, and the host was very friendly and helpful.

Perfect place to stay

We stayed here for ours daughters Creighton graduation. Host’s communication was always friendly and quick. House was clean and very well equipped and fit our party perfectly. We easily walked to the Blackstone district where there are nice restaurants and bars. Are stay made are celebration just perfect. We love Omaha and the Creighton community would stay again if we return.

Married with 3 children and 4 granddaughters, we've done home improvement projects through our lives, but this is the biggest one we've tackled together. This is something very different than our "real" jobs (restaurant/pub manager and healthcare) and it has been a joy to see this property come back to life

The location allows easy access to so many of Omaha's sought after events and venues. Off street parking is a bonus in this bustling neighborhood as is a yard for kids to play. As a family who has stayed in multiple VRBO properties, we've made note of what we like and needed and have tried to provide all those things for our guests.
