Kamaole Sands 2-206 is set back from the road, making it quiet and private with a spacious open feel. It comfortably sleeps up to four guests. This spacious condo is 818 square feet, with beautiful tile plank flooring throughout.

Unlike most owners at the Kamaole Sands, we live in Kihei and we carefully inspect the condo for cleaning and tackle any maintenance needs between each booking. You may contact us directly instead of dealing with a busy rental agency!

Kamaole Sands 2-206 comes complete with

Kamaole Sands is located in sunny South Kihei, across the street from Kamaole 3 Beach Park. This is a 15-acre property with water fountains, a common pool/hot tubs, gym, 3 pickleball and 2 tennis courts and Hawaii’s largest living orchid wall. It comes complete with a 24-hour desk, on-site concierge, and Wednesday hula performance.

Kamaole Sands is currently undergoing a re-roofing project. Our building (the #2 building) was completed in July 2024.

Best vacation of my life!

The property is excellent! it is immaculate and convenient to everything. We had lots of room, and having 2 bathrooms was a special treat. I loved having a washer and dryer too! There are books to read and take to the beach, beach chairs/umbrella, cooler, and all the little kitchen stuff you need (she even left us snacks). It was like staying at your “best friends” beach condo, that just happens to be in Maui :)..so welcoming and cozy. I loved sitting on the lanai in the morning, and seeing the ocean to my right, and the mountains to my left. The parking space is numbered, and just a few steps to the condo, so you never have to search for a place to park, even when you come in late at night. We visited beautiful beaches every day-my favorite was Polo Beach, the sunsets are dreamy. We enjoyed dinner at a different place every nite. Mama’s fish house is a must..and that little beach, by her restaurant, is like something out of a storybook. Thanks for sharing your rental with us. It was the best vacation of my life!

One of the best at Kamaole Sands

We had a wonderful stay in Maui and enjoyed Cara and Sig's Kamaole Sands condo. Their condo was exactly as listed; very clean and maintained! We got the opportunity to meet both Cara and Sig which they are both are very kind and friendly. My family has stayed at Kamaole Sands four different times and each time we stay at a different condo because we haven't found one we feel completely comfortable in. This condo exceeded all of our expectations! We enjoyed this condo and the communication with Cara so much that we went ahead and booked it again for next year!

Great location and wonderful hosts!

Had a great time here. There is an elevator and the walk to the beach and pool/hot tub is very short and can be done with no stairs. Really a wonderful location when traveling with someone disabled, my mama really appreciated! The condo was beautiful, clean, communication wonderful and prompt. No complaints!

Awesome!!

I traveled to Maui with my 2 young sons and and we all LOVED this place! Cara was super helpful with all details and the apartment was super clean, modern, and well equipped in a perfect location in Maui. The complex was super kid friendly with tons of green space that we enjoyed in the evenings and of course the pool. There were so many other families so my kids made some new friends here and there. Everything else about the place was fantastic and it was walkable to beaches and food options. I will likely be back and this will be my first option in Maui.

Maui Wowie!

It had been far too long since we visited this island and we had never stayed in south Maui. If it's beaches you want, this is the place. This Kamaole Sands condo makes life so easy, you won't want to leave. Lovely in every way, not one problem. We'll be back!

Lovely condo

We had an amazing time in this condo! Great location, pretty grounds, nice pool, close to beaches. It is close to some good restaurants, shave ice, coffee. The condo was spotless. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals. We enjoyed reserving the picnic areas near our building. The owners are responsive and knowledgeable about the area. We will definitely return!

Classy Condo

We have traveled every January to Maui for the past 5 years ( but COVID grounded us for 2 years). My travel club condo was booked all of January and since my wife and I are fully vaccinated we were desperate wanting to get back to traveling. This is my first time using Vrbo so I didn’t know what to expect. The pictures of the condo we picked Kamaole Sands looked good but you never know until you get there. Well, the condo exceeded our expectations, beautifully decorated with modern appliances and even a big screen TV in the bedroom. The view from our balcony was exceptional with both the resort and ocean. Though I had to spend much more than my club’s condo which was only 2 blocks away, I felt it was worth the additional expense. We had 14 days of perfect weather and experienced one of the best vacations we have had in years.

Can’t wait to return!

We absolutely loved our stay in Cara and Sig’s condo. The unit was beautifully decorated, comfortable, had all the appliances needed to feel like home and the view from the balcony was gorgeous and relaxing. The unit is equipped with beach chairs, umbrella, cooler and tennis racquets. We took advantage of the tennis courts (there is a weekly free clinic which we highly recommend) and grills on the property. We have visited Maui multiple times and this unit is at the top of our list. Clean, beautiful, comfortable and centrally located!!

Even better than the pictures

Many vacation rentals photograph really well, but end up being not as impressive in reality. This Kamaole Sands unit was even BETTER than the photos looked! The place was super clean when we arrived, and it's so well stocked. They even have things like a Vitamix blender, a stool (extremely convenient for kids to reach the sink), Brita pitcher. The sleeper sofa worked perfectly for the kids, and the main bedroom's mattress was very comfortable. Lanai was very relaxing. Cara was an exceptional host. She communicated early and often, even giving us real-time updates on changes to COVID protocols, etc. We had friends who rented from other Kamaole Sands units that were managed by a large company, and they did not receive the same care and attention. We would definitely book this rental again in the future.

A very enjoyable stay!

My wife and I were pleased with all aspects of our renting Sig and Cara’s Kamaole Sands condo, from the time we signed the rental agreement, until we departed. Our communications with Cara by email were prompt and helpful. The check-in was simple. The condo is spacious, clean, and has all the amenities one could wish for. The kitchen is well designed and had all the items needed to cook meals, which we did each day. A small point: initially we had a difficult time working the TV. Cara came right over and showed us what to do. (It would be helpful if this could be written up in the three-ring binder as it is a bit complicated.) The condo looks out on lovely gardens, with the ocean in the distance. There is a/c but we didn’t need it. The ceiling fans were very good. Beautiful condo and location

My boyfriend and I absolutely loved staying at this property to celebrate our anniversary in Maui, we even joked that we’d move in if we could. We didn’t spend much time at the condo because we were out exploring so often, but when we were there it was great staying in a lovely complex right across from the beach with all the comforts you could want in a remodeled & up to date condo. I’d just recommend bringing/buying sugar if you plan to use the coffee maker because we had some trouble finding some at the front desk and pool area which was not a big deal at all. Other than that, everything was perfect and we’d definitely stay again. The lanai has a gorgeous view of the ocean and the beach across the street has stunning sunset views with beautiful sand and water. Kihei in general is just a great area to stay in and we’re so happy we stayed there. Communication was also great with quick response times, which is so important when renting a space. Thanks Cara!

The feeling of home in paradise

A perfectly renovated property awaits you with all the amenities you’ll need for your stay. From waking up and enjoying a cup of coffee on the lanai, to making a snack or lunch in the afternoon, and finally dinner at the end of a long day on the beach, the kitchen accommodates all your needs in a modern setting. All sleeping options are luxurious with memory foam, with two private bathrooms to share amongst the family. The home entertainment setup is awesome when you want to simply Netflix and chill. The overall property is amazing, well maintained with the gem being the pool. Our family of four enjoyed one of our best vacations in Kihei from beginning to end, much of it thanks to our home base at Kamaole Sands. Thank you again Cara and Sig.

Amazing stay

This unit was amazing and exceeded our expectations. The complete renovation from top to bottom turned out fantastic. In particular the kitchen was spectacular and well stocked including a Vitamix blender. It was great that everything was so new and clean and felt like we were the first people to use the place. The air conditioning in both the main living room and bedroom were a bonus as they were not the portable ones or window mounted ones that are often loud and ineffective. We also enjoyed to in suite laundry, We spent most of our time at the beach but the pool and the grounds of the complex were well maintained. The location was also very central to many beaches and restaurants in Kihei. We hope to be back soon!

Beautifully Updated & Comfortable

The condo was beautifully renovated and decorated. It had everything we needed to cook our own meals and everything we needed was walking distance away. The balcony/lanai had a great view of the lush grounds and ocean. It is set back from the road that separates the grounds from the beach and gave us privacy. We would recommend this condo to friends and family and we would rent this condo again. The owner who manages the condo was very responsive and communication was excellent.

Aloha! We are former West Coast dairy farmers who vacationed annually in sunny Kihei (South Maui) from 2004-2009. In 2010 we sold the farm and immigrated to Hawaii. We invested in four vacation rental condos that first year and have been vacation renting on Maui ever since.

Cara grew up in Austria and is passionate about baked goods and coffee. She left her budding big-city career in 2001 to join Sig on his dairy farm along the West Coast. She is your main point of contact through the booking process, researching your stay (ask about her blog for trip ideas!) and communicating throughout your stay.

Sig grew up on the West Coast with a passion for dairy-farming. To this date he subscribes to dairy publications and enjoys going to trade shows, keeping up with advancements in the dairy industry. For many years our farm had one of the top-producing dairy herds in Western Canada working in close partnership with our animal nutritionist and veterinarian (no rBST). He brings his attention to detail and perfectionism to the condos and handles most of our maintenance needs (and all those remodels we’ve done over the years). He checks our condos prior to every check-in, ensuring they are in top condition from both a cleaning and maintenance standpoint.
