Three families came together to spend a summer week in St Louis. We took advantage of the size, quality and general location of the property to attend STL Cardinals game, City Museum, Magic House, Zoo and Forest Park as well as trips to and from friends in the City where we once lived.
Rented for a week in late July/early August with 6 adults, 1 teen, and 6 kids/toddlers and the house worked out just fine with no real issues. Location was good for us and was easy to get anywhere we wanted to go in St Louis and the surrounding area. There were a lot of food options close by too (driving, not walking though)
Only recommendation for future guests is that it's an older house so it can be noisy and people walking upstairs can definitely be heard below them. We had a white noise machine for our 2 yr old already and it worked out real well for us to be able to sleep with people upstairs. Would recommend bringing one for large groups (especially groups with kids).
Property had plenty of "sleep room" and children loved the upstairs bunk room and play area. Nice kitchen, ample dining seating, and welcoming den. Also, really appreciated the back deck and grill and covered parking with garage door. Location very convenient. Home was on border of "reviving" neighborhood and beautiful older, fine homes. Could walk comfortably to restaurants and grocery close by. We would definitely stay here again on a future trip.
My family all got together for Christmas. E we loved having the backyard as well as plenty of space to play games, eat, and drink!
We got there when it was a windchill of around -30 degrees outside and unfortunately the kitchen sink was frozen, but as soon as I messaged Ann she called me so we could get a squared away! Ann was a great host and easy to communicate with! Would definitely stay there again!!
We stayed here as a multigenerational family. There was plenty of room for all of us and the different levels of the house worked out great for the different times various ages were sleeping and waking.
The home owners are fabulous! They are so down to earth and personable. The people who came to prepare the house for the next guests at the end of our stay were also very kind.
We will definitely stay here again if the opportunity presents itself.
This was a family vacation with three households, including 5 kids ages 1-10. There was plenty of space for all. The upstairs bonus space was a great place for kids to hang out. The house is an easy walk to coffee shops, restaurants and the St Louis Chess Club. It’s about 1.5 miles walk or a short drive to Forest Park and all that it has to offer. I enjoy walking in the morning and Westminster Place is two blocks away which is a lovely street to stroll. The immediate neighborhood is in transition with older homes, some of which have been restored like this rental and some that are in pretty rough shape. We found the street to be quiet and appreciated the fenced back patio and small backyard space including covered secure parking for 2 cars. Ann is a very responsive host and we were happy with the rental.

Disliked: Location, listing accuracy
House was fine-neighborhood not too good
Kitchen island was not bolted down to the floor-slid if you mistakenly leaned in it; it is listed to have a hot tub but does NOT, this was a big ereason why I made this rental selection and a disappointment for the kids :( the front step near the sidewalk is only 3-4” wide and I personally fell even trying to be careful-a step tread needs to be 8-9” wide!!! Thankfully I was not hurt but anyone else could be! FIX THIS! The neighborhood was bad-police were called to a domestic dispute walking down the street next to our rental in the middle of the night! That was disturbing! We didn’t feel comfortable walking anywhere for a stroll with the kids and the back yard was non-existent small and full of weeds. The house was otherwise ok but I would Not recommend this to anyone-sorry. And the price, looking at others in hind sight, is by comparison-High for what we got. :(

The house needs work!
The house needs work!!!!! All first floor windows were unlocked upon our arrival. The door to enter the house from the back yard had gaps at the threshold, welcoming any little uninvited guests. The quality of the door was very cheap. The freezer was broken. The owner was quick to respond and reimbursed us for supplies. Part needed to be ordered for the freezer.
The whole house needs painting! The second floor bathroom off the hallway is in bad shape. The bathtub/shower needs to be refinished! The electrical outlet in the bathroom does not work. The shelving unit in this bathroom is very cheap. You would put a comb on the shelf and the shelf would fall down. A complete rehab of this bathroom is badly needed. The walls and doors on this floor needed painting.
The outdoor cushions were very dirty! Not sure why you would not put furniture covers over the out door furniture to protect?
With some work this house could be a gem! The house had some great things but too many negatives to give it more stars!
We used this delightful and spacious home for our pre-wedding activities and bridal party staging. There is plenty of common area space for relaxation and group gatherings. It worked well for bridal party makeup, hair and photography sessions. Lighting and decor were a photographer's dream. The multiple floors allowed for everyone to have privacy and plenty of space to spread out.
Our wedding location was Forest Park and this home was perfectly located.
The host, Ann, went above and beyond to make it extra special for our entire group.
The cleaning people were still there when we wanted to check in and had to work around them to get groceries in the refrig. Neighbor was not very nice. Had a drip in one of the bedrooms. However we liked the house, upper floor great for children.
Our group enjoyed our stay at Ann's property, and it was the perfect spot for our trip to St. Louis! The location was perfect, as we were close to the Central West End, but also only 10-20 minutes from the other areas in the city.
The inside of the house was also wonderful! The home is beautifully decorated and the three stories were perfect for having a larger group - some of us were able to return later in the evening without disturbing those that retired earlier. All amenities were well-stocked and it couldn't have been a better stay!
Location is really close to great food and trendy shopping. Cool older house that is updated and really nice. Our family loves the house and the owner was super responsive when we had a question. The house is located on the fringe between a really nice and not so great area, but the house itself is great.
First, Ann was very easy to communicate with & accommodated our early arrival/late checkout - we appreciate her greatly! The neighborhood/area didn’t appear to be the safest (just based of initial perception/judgement), but it actually ended up being very quiet, calm, and safe. Seems to be in an area of re-development, which is great. I had no worries once we were settled in the home. The location was also perfect for us - we didn’t drive more than 15 minutes to any location. Grocery, restaurants, entertainment, etc. are in perfect driving distance.
We had a group of 5 adults and 7 kids & the size of the home was perfect for us!! The kids loved their space (own rooms, bathroom, and play area).
Beds were all comfy & very clean. We loved the kitchen and dining table for our big group. The electronics/tech were also a big hit!
Overall, it was a perfect stay and we look forward to the next trip to St. Louis & hope to stay here again :)
Very nice property with lots of space for a large group. The interior was clean with lots of amenities. It was close to all the main tourist attractions.
