Este apartamento le servirá bien para una estancia en un pueblo pequeño y hermoso cerca de Londres. Es cómodo y está bien ubicado para el transporte público y tiene todo lo que necesita para un descanso feliz por el motivo que sea que haya venido a quedarse con nosotros.

Tenemos invitados alojados aquí por todo tipo de razones, Harry Potter World y Lego-land son algunos de los más obvios. Aparte de unas vacaciones cerca de los Chilterns y de todos los agradables paseos por aquí, ¿quizás tienes algún trabajo por un corto tiempo en Londres y no quieres estar en el centro? Muchos también se quedan cuando tienen trabajo hecho en su propio hogar y necesitan escapar o cuando visitan a amigos y parientes que no pueden acomodarlos en sus propios hogares.

Este apartamento es una gran opción: la línea rápida de Chiltern, el tren Marylebone te llevará allí en 20 minutos, mientras que puedes disfrutar de noches tranquilas y relajadas aquí en un pequeño pueblo con todo lo que necesitas al alcance de tu mano. Tiendas, restaurantes, cafeterías, supermercados, son todos unos pasos de su puerta!

Nuestro objetivo es alcanzar una apariencia de lujo de gama alta y sentimos, pero estamos trabajando para lograr ese objetivo final y no estamos tan ahí todavía, ya que es un proyecto en curso. Las fotos se muestran sin embargo que ya está precioso y sólo va a ser mejor y mejor! La gran respuesta que tenemos en este sitio (y otros) hasta ahora, muestra que estamos haciendo un gran trabajo y no hemos conseguido demasiado para poder ir ahora para crear el último en una casa de vacaciones de lujo. Por favor mira nuestra reacción y ver por sí mismo.

Podemos dormir 6 si necesita el espacio extra con 2 personas en el sofá-cama en la sala de estar, que es una habitación muy amplia. La mesa de comedor es en esta habitación también, con capacidad para 6 cuando se extiende o como una mesa redonda para 4 personas.

La cocina tiene todas las comodidades modernas para su comodidad y un encantador desayunador central para la primera taza de café de la mañana con capacidad para 2 personas.

La propiedad es en realidad un dúplex en 2 plantas sobre una librería, pero Chorleywood es una zona muy tranquila, por lo que no es High Street como tal, sino más bien una zona residencial tranquila con algunas tiendas para su comodidad.

Si llevas un coche, el aparcamiento es en la calle (respetar las restricciones de aparcamiento), pero en general, si usted está fuera de casa durante el día no debe afectarle demasiado, ya que las restricciones son principalmente para detener el aparcamiento de cercanías.

Si necesita más estacionamiento a largo plazo durante su estancia se puede aparcar en el aparcamiento de la estación durante 24 horas a la vez o aparcar el coche a cierta distancia, donde no hay restricciones y luego caminar de regreso.

En términos de acceso rápido a Londres, esto es casi tan bueno como se pone! La excelente línea de Chiltern se detiene aquí y se tarda sólo 20 minutos de Marylebone a través de un viaje muy directa de sólo 2 paradas. Desde Marylebone tiene acceso al metro y el conjunto de Londres está a su disposición.

Esta es un área bien conocido por su excelente para caminar y rutas de senderismo. La encantadora Chorleywood Común está a cinco minutos a pie y las colinas de Chiltern no están muy lejos y son verdaderamente hermoso y una visita obligada. Al igual que otras áreas como las playas de Burnham, Aldenham Country Park y muchos otros lugares encantadores.

Harry Potter World se encuentra a 10-15 minutos (5 millas) o un taxi no cuesta mucho y es muy conveniente si no tiene automóvil.

También puede disfrutar de los pintorescos pubs ingleses en esta área. El ciervo (una milla arriba de la colina en Heronsgate) es uno de los favoritos, y Rose and Crown en Common es encantador en un día soleado ya que puedes sentarte afuera y disfrutar del derecho común en tu vista. Otros favoritos, como el Black Horse, ofrecen un ambiente acogedor y una sensación de furia en un día de inviernos fríos cuando necesitas un poco de calor después de tu arrolladora caminata para llegar allí.

La alcachofa en Croxley Green no está muy lejos en coche y la comida es excelente allí, así que vale la pena intentarlo.

Great Stay - Great Location

The apartment was as described, a great location for us as we were working around the corner. It was also easy access to London in the week. Trains are better from Watford at the weekend where you can park for only 7 all day.The apartment was clean, spacious and the high street is very convenient for everything you need. Caroline was on hand for any questions, and even supplied us with a new iron!We'll definitely be returning.

We were visiting family in Chorleywood and didn’t have a car. The flat was perfectly positioned near shops, family home and train station. It was clean, warm and comfortable and our host very responsive. Great stay all round

Great location

Apartment was lovely and central. Couldn’t find tv remote which was a bit of a pain. Parking was also a bit of a bind trying to find where we could and couldn’t park and having to move the car after periods of time. If you don’t have a car then the location is great.

Perfect place to visit suburban London

Staying in the unit was lovely - great variety of places to eat in close walking distance, easy access to the train into London. Extremely comfortable bed, wonderfully hot shower, fully equipped kitchen and very clean. Perfect for our needs - and the sun actually showed up while we were visiting!

A Fabulous Sequel

It was our second stay at Caroline's property, and we can honestly say it was so hard to leave! We love the space - it's cozy, clean, comfortable, and offers that extra special welcoming touch. It truly feels like a home away from home. The convenience of the location - from the food/grocery selection right outside to the train station around the corner - is such a gift given that we weren't renting a car. We love the charm of Chorleywood. Caroline was amazing about answering questions quickly for our time-traveled addled brains. Plus, the neighbors are lovely. We can't wait to visit again.

Lovely apartment in convenient location

Caroline’s apartment was perfect for our 4 night stay over Christmas. The property is beautifully decorated and has everything you could need. Caroline even managed to get an electrician in on Christmas Eve when there was an issue with the lights upstairs. Highly recommended.

Very nice stay close to London

We had a very nice stay in this flat. As promised it is perfectly situated for going into London by train and Watford (Harry Potter studio tour) by car as well as other trips around the country side. Caroline was very friendly and helpful. The flat was newly renovated and did maybe need a few final touches but it accommodated our family of 6 just fine, and any request we had were met right away. Nice little town with everything we needed such as groceries, take away and shops right at the doorstep and pubs very nearby. Easy access by car from the freeway.

Chorleywood Flat

The flat met our family's needs (parents, daughter and husband) as we attended the Wedding Celebration of our other daughter in the area. The property was as described and set on two levels with the two bedrooms and bathroom on the above level. The master bedroom was very large which was great for us. Caroline was great addressing a small matter that arose during our stay and also quick to provide a refund when we adjusted our dates early on. My only disappointment was the area outside where you enter the flat, which was the view from the kitchen and smaller bedroom, where the neighbourhood stored lumber and scrap wood. Otherwise, a great stay!

Chorleywood is DELIGHTFUL

This property was the PERFECT place to stay on our trip to London. We got to truly enjoy a small village atmosphere with simple easy travel to London for our days' excitement. Chorleywod is a delight and this property has the perfect location. coffee and a delightful bakery across the street, multiple restaurants down below the flats, four pubs in reasonable walking distance... Rail is a 7 minute walk from the property and you can ride all day for about 8 pounds. Definitely worth the walk to go to Rose and Crown and White Horse pubs, excellent cask ales and incredible foods (reservation required for Rose & Crown). The unit was great, nice fully equipped kitchen, plenty of room for four, comfortable bath and shower, towel heater, and very nice master with very comfortable bed and a look out over the high street. Host was great with good instructions for access (key in lockbox) and responsive to phone calls (not very responsive to VRBO messaging). Unit was very clean. I truly hope that we can stay again, I could have enjoyed a full week in Chorleywood alone! Pro tips: get a punch card at Rootz coffee across the street and earn a free drink, get the ham and chese croissant at the Simmons bakery across the street (you're welcome), book a car with tudor/area cars to/from heathrow, get an oyster card for the public transportation (underground, chiltern line rail, buses, boats). You WILL enjoy your stay!

Lovely flat in a great location :)

The information and directions Caroline sent us prior to our arrival were great. The flat was very homely and was well equipped which suited us fine as we were staying for 10 days. We were able to cook in the lovely kitchen, do washing and relax watching tv. The many choices of takeaway virtually on the doorstep were also great as were the lovely cafe's just across the road. There was also a convenience store a couple of minutes walk from the flat that seemed to have most things we needed. The station was only a 5 minute walk from the flat which made it easy when we were travelling to London for the day. Unfortunately parking was an issue but we were able to find a spot not too far from the flat and on certain days we were able to park outside the flat. Caroline had warned us about the parking so it didn't come as a shock when we arrived. An enjoyable stay was had by all and should we find ourselves back in the U.K. in the near future we would certainly look at staying in Caroline's property in Chorleywood.

A truly wonderful experience

It was our first VRBO experience as we have always traditionally stayed with family, and Caroline was a truly amazing host. We have always preferred the "time share/apartment" style space when travelling for a longer stretch. While the walk in and outside was a bit unusual, the space itself was cozy and welcoming, and we all just loved staying there. Whenever we had questions, Caroline was there to answer promptly. There was a great variety of stores/food options right at our doorstep whether we wanted to eat in or take out, and the train was right around the corner. There are also some beautiful walks nearby. All in all, we loved it and will definitely be back.

Lovely property, perfect location, felt like home but needs a little attention.

This property had a lovely, warm style and feels very spacious. Good quality furniture and fittings and the most amazingly comfortable master bedroom. The location right on the high street is ideal. There’s just a few areas where it looks like some work could be done to finish it off... there’s a mirror not hung and areas of paintwork that need redoing. These are very small pointers that really didn’t affect our stay in any way but would just make the whole place perfect.

Cute place to stay.

This unit was basically like it was described. The location was perfect if you are looking for easy access into London. The village is cute with easy to get to shops, including a great bakery at the end of the street. The master bedroom is fantastic, with a huge comfortable bed and plenty of storage. The bathroom, obviously newly remodeled, was also wonderful. The kitchen could use a little redoing but it was functional, although it’s hard to cook anything because all the markings have rubbed off the cooker/stove. You have to use some guess work to cook. The flat is very bright and airy. The living room was nice, however the furniture was not comfortable. But then again, we weren’t there to hang out on the furniture. The one thing the unit it isn’t, however, is quiet. While the high street it sits on gets quiet in the evenings, the delivery trucks start pulling in to all the shops situated below about 4:30 am. Very noisy. I did notice that I started to get used to the noise after 4th or 5th day. I tried to email the owner twice while staying at the apartment, but it neither was ever answered. As it wasn’t an emergency, I didn’t bother to call. All in all, a cute place to stay for a long weekend.

Great property in good location

The property was exactly as described and in an excellent location, Clean, tidy and everything that you would need for a short stay. Communications were good and we had no problem locating the property and gaining access. Parking was not an issue either. We would thoroughly recommend this property.

Not a luxury experience!

The owner was pleasant and welcoming. However, our experience was very disappointing, especially as we booked for 8 nights whilst having the builders in at home and we had naturally expected luxury. The main living room lights were not working on the first evening even though this was known by the owner. That evening we suffered from the noisy neighbours and their children through until late, presumably due to the thin walls. Within a few days one of the blinds in the living room, which already had a broken slat, literally fell down when we tried to use it; again the owner confirmed that this had happened a few times. For days we could not get warm in the sitting room, especially as there are clear instructions "not to set the radiators above 4, otherwise the system will shut down". After two attempts to get this resolved we were given two fan heaters. Reliable and effective heating is a basic requirement, not a luxury. The kitchen was a let-down: the cooker is so old that the symbols are illegible which made living there difficult and the back of one of the kitchen units is falling off. There were lots of little things that fell below "luxury". e.g. There was no blind in the bathroom despite it overlooking the open terrace where people access these properties and other blocks of flats nearby. The main bedroom had no accessible socket near to the mirror. At the rental price of this property we had expected far more. We then moved on to a different property which was immaculate and definitely luxurious, despite the owners not claiming that it was. Very disappointed by this experience so cannot recommend. Some way to go to attain true luxury. Good points: Master bed is extremely comfortable; house was clean, pleasantly furnished and presentable. A brand new bathroom has also just been installed which is attractive.

I bought this property in Chorleywood to keep my son close when he was in his early twenties and wanted to be close but not too close to his mum!

Last year it proudly boasted to be the "Second Richest place to Live in the UK" and it certainly is a very affluent area with many lovely houses in all directions.

Our apartment (or rather it is a maisonette as it is on two floors) has been done up to a high standard with all the modern conveniences you would wish for and we hope you will love it and the location and want to come back and see us again and again!
