Indoors, a comfortable living area with a fireplace and wraparound couch provides a great space for shared meals and memorable moments. The well-equipped kitchen flows into the dining & living areas. The upper bedrooms both sport log beds with a king in the master and a queen in the guest "Tiger Cat" room. The master suite offers a separate shower & oversized tub, while the full bath is right across from the guest bedroom.

The lower level "Bear Room" boast of queen bunk beds (yes - queens :). There is another 3/4 bathroom nearby as well as a laundry room for guest use.

Downstairs also boast of a movie & game room with a cozy gas fireplace, 2 sofas and a futon, a TV for movies (plus cord to connect to your computer), a foosball table & several games. Windows abound with views of lake & the 20x40 oversided deck can be accessed via its 2 large sliding doors. In addition to great views, the deck holds a swing, picnic table and enough room for a bean bag competition. You can also enjoy the action around the outdoor firepit from this deck!

Water sports enthusiasts will appreciate that noodles, a float mat, canoes& kayaks, are provided.

Ample parking for 8 visitors is available due to a large turnaround driveway— with space for trailers. Explore soft adventures, great restaurants, and downtown Hayward just 15 minutes away. Nestled on the outskirts of the Chequamegon National Forest, our property is the perfect retreat for relaxation or adventure.

Hipp's Hideaway is an ideal four season destination for all types of getaways. It's a fantastic retreat for all seasons, offering DIRECT access to snowmobile trail #18 and close proximity to Birkie XC Ski/Mountain Bike Trails and ATV/UTV trails. In addition, we are located right on the Fall Color Tour #1. If you're a cycling enthusiast, you'll appreciate the smooth hilly road biking routes in our neighborhood, or the CAMBA trails throughout the Birkie Trail System.

Adventures Await at Hipp's Hideaway

Hipp's Hideaway offers something for everyone, from relaxation to "soft" adventures. In addition to swimming, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, mountain biking, road biking, hiking, golfing (both ball and disc), cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, ice fishing, and snowshoeing, there's also excellent shopping, dining, antiquing, wineries, and more nearby. We're right on Fall Color Tour #1, and you can bring your boat or rent one easily thanks to the conveniently close boat landing with a swimming hole and rope swing.

Lake Home Details

Our cedar-sided, two-level lake home features an upper level with a wraparound deck, a great room with a fireplace, a master bedroom and bath, and a guest bedroom. The lower level, closer to the lake, boasts a large family/TV/game room, a bedroom with queen bunk beds, a laundry room, and a spacious bathroom. Plus, there's a pullout futon in the lower-level rec room.

Venture out onto the clear waters with our three canoes and two kayaks, and explore the interconnected waterways of the Tiger Cat Chain of Lakes. This 1300-acre chain, rich in history from the old logging days, promises great fishing, wildlife watching, and canoe/kayaking adventures. Enjoy short walking trails through the woods on our property or explore offshoots down the local roads. We're also close to Birkie trails, offering miles of groomed grassy trails through rolling hills. Our location offers direct access to trails that connect 100's of miles throughout the Hayward area between lake trails and hill trails.

Indoor and Outdoor Entertainment

There's no shortage of entertainment options at Hipp's Hideaway. Challenge your friends and family to a game of basketball with our driveway hoop (bring a basketball), or enjoy yard games stored in the shed. Stay connected with our free internet! (Speeds may vary.) Indoors, you'll find foosball, a wide selection of board games, and 100’s of DVDs for your entertainment.

Check-in is at 4 pm, and check-out is at 11 am.
