The penthouse is a second level 4 bedroom 3 bathroom apartment overlooking the lake. There are 2 pull out couches in the living room with the ability to sleep 14 total. You are welcome to use our indoor heated pool, hot tub, kayaks, gaze the sunset on our huge deck overlooking the lake, or use one of our boat docks for your boat, jet ski, etc. For your enjoyment we also offer a grill area with a table, and a fire pit area. You can also enjoy two private decks with the penthouse.

Grown up siblings weekend

Four adult couples just wanted a place to relax and catch up, play some games, watch TV and relax. Great space that accommodates all of us very well. Well appointed and exactly as the listing described. Would stay there again in a heartbeat. If going to Indiana Beach in season that would be a fantastic family option.

Stay for Penn State - Purdue Game

The apartment was great. You do have to lug luggage up a set of stairs, and there wasn't always enough parking available for our four vehicles, but it was a relatively short distance for public parking area. We didn't use the pool, but that looked really nice as well for renters.

We enjoyed our stay very much! The only thing is the living room furniture was uncomfortable. Also the sliding glass doors going out to the hot tub were very hard to open. If my husband had not been with me I wouldn’t have been able to go out.

Great Family Trip!

Great location for visiting Indiana Beach Amusement Park & for using the lake. The accommodations were perfect for our family vacation. Very spacious & many extras, like the pool, hot tub, plus extra equipment for the lake: kayaks & paddle boards. All ages were kept busy! Loved it…

Beautiful Setting

This condo was perfect for our family of 9. Plenty of room, great access to the area. Loved the big family room and kitchen. The view of the lake was amazing.

Fun place!

We loved everything about this property. The only complaints we had were all the dishes were put away quite dirty, and the toilet was leaking in the master bedroom. Would definitely stay here again. So cool to look out your window and see a roller coaster!

Nice Place

Very well taken care of, great communications with Tracy the manager, Desiree of the cleaning staff was very helpful with towels and information. Unfortunately the previous tenant did not inform management of a toilet leak, and they had a real mess to clean up and repair.

Nice Amenities

Overall the penthouse is nice. The gas range could use some maintenance but that minor issue is outweighed by the great view of the lake and the use of the grills downstairs. We were right next to the park but the coasters just sound like wind - great insulation. We enjoyed one day on the lake and one in the park for a nice little getaway.

Alexander’s Landing

The location is great for summer with tons of activities. We rented this space for a girls weekend in November. A calm weekend before the storm of the holidays. The space was clean but could use a deep clean that includes washing rugs. The hot tub wasn’t working and the pool was chilly and a little dirty (possibly from being stagnet for awhile). All in all. The fireplace worked and the tv worked (batteries need replaced in remote) View was great,. If the weather was a bit nicer would have used the paddle boat and jacks.

All and all family had a good time. If anything would recommend updating door handles all around, shower head in bathroom closest to living room and sliding door to hottub. Just little things very enjoyable space. Thanks

Celebrating Family New Year!

This is the second year staying here over the holiday. The kids love the pool, the adults love the open space. The only thing I would like to see improved is when cooking bacon, there is no fan for the stove and the smoke alarm kept beeping! Other than that small detail, our stay was great!!

Fishing 🎣 Trip

We enjoyed staying at the Penthouse on the Lake. Tracy was very friendly and nice. She helped me know how to we would be navigating around the area. Thanks Tracy! We had a fun weekend. I’m so sorry to hear about your traumatic event on Saturday. Most importantly, I’m glad everyone was safe and no one got injured. We will be back again!

Eclipse

It was a nice & interesting location for our extended family to stay a few days before heading to watch the eclipse. Beautiful indoor patio with table for us to gather for meals & games, perfect amount of bathrooms, easy pull-out couch and open area had enough space for everyone to congregate together. We love to go on walks, so exploring the exterior of lake houses a few blocks nearby was enjoyable. Amusement park was outside our door- not open yet for the summer- but was definitely a unique backdrop for the experience. The hot tub was easy to operate and pool very convenient at the base of our suite, both clean and inviting. Great times, great experience!

Family Christmas

The location was equidistant for each of us, so a perfect place to meet. The open living room and kitchen made it easy for us to gather, talk, and eat. It's December so not easy to do outdoor things but I thought the indoor heated pool would entertain. The pool was heated, but not enough for the parents and children to want to stay in. The hot tub was warmer than the pool, so everyone enjoyed the tub.

Mom’s getaway!

A group of us, moms, run away before the hubbub of the holidays. This place was fantastic with its open floor plan and a super warm indoor pool and a fantastic hot tub. We enjoyed our weekend just hanging around and eating. We also spent a few hours on the decks hanging swings. Lucky for the warmth in November. We didn’t realize that our rental was part of a multi-unit rental. Had the place to ourselves so that didn’t seem to impact anything. We were also within feet of rollercoaster. So if your looking to be close to Indiana Beach… you can’t get closer to this.

Fun getaway

Surprisingly, Indiana Beach is not a super busy vacation spot in winter 😂 this means that we had the whole place to ourselves! we chose the location because it was a good meeting spot between our families homes, and had the space we needed. With 5 teenagers the pool was a must and the water was perfect. The home was 50 degrees when we got in there and it took 20 hours to warm up but the fireplace helped (and it was zero degrees outside so I’m sure that’s why it was having trouble warming up). We couldn’t get to the hot tub until the last night but when we did get access it was wonderful! There was plenty of room for everyone. Planning to come back in the summer and enjoy Indiana Beach while we’re here.

Great place to meet up with friends

We rented the Penthouse with 11 adults and 2 kids under 2. It was a bit of a squeeze but it worked well. It had everything we needed to cook Friendsgiving and the pool was great for the kids. The smoke alarms were super sensitive to any cooking, so we had the windows open a lot. Otherwise it was a great stay!!

What an amazing place!

My extended family stayed across multiple units of Alexander's Landing. My immediate family rented the Penthouse, and it did not disappoint! The pictures don't do this property justice! This has to be one of the most modern lake houses in Monticello. It was clean and well equipped with cooking supplies, towels, and plenty of space to rest and relax. I cooked for 13 people without too much trouble. The grills outside were very well maintained and ready for use. The pool was clean and fun to float in, and the hot tub was very well maintained. We played around the lake in the kayaks and paddleboats and used the pier to get on and off our own floats and things. So much fun! The amusement park entrance is just across the parking lot. There are grocery stores and restaurants nearby. This was a fantastic trip and I'm already thinking ahead to next year! The parking is very limited, but they are very clear about that ahead of time. The walkways down to the lake and the stairs to go up into the penthouse are steep and narrow. My parents in their 70's were able to navigate, but if you are travelling with someone with limited mobility, you may want to call the office for recommendations. The staff was so responsive! Any questions I had were answered immediately!

Bachelorette Party

We stayed here for my sisters Bachelorette party. Bree (the property manager I think) was very kind to us at check-in and helped us figure out the parking situation. The space we stayed was clean and well kept. It really was the perfect spot for 10 of us to get away, relax and celebrate our soon-to-be bride. The amenities are shared with the other residents renting rooms. There was plenty though, and sharing worked out perfectly.
