Fox Den cabin was wonderful, clean, well stocked and peaceful. Lots of space to spread out and sleep. We stayed for three nights and were able to have a campfire two of the nights. Not too far from the West Yellowstone entrance, I would stay again for sure!

Disliked: Location
Disappointed
Location was not ideal and beds were uncomfortable. Even though you pay a cleaning fee, you still had to strip the beds, wash and put up dishes and clean all cabinets. We’ve stayed in lots of rentals and this one we were ready to come home early.
Great cabin that was super clean. For me cleanliness makes for a great stay! Had all the kitchen utensils we needed to cook. Laundry soap provided. Plenty of towels and blankets for 2 families. Blow dryers provided. Plenty of parking. We had 2 trucks and 2 UTV trailers. Nice area. Mattresses could be improved for comfort, but other than that it was great! Queen bunks were a bonus. We would definitely come back!
We have stayed 4 nights during visiting Yellowstone National Park. It is a very lovely, quiet, clean and spacious house, which is about half hour to the west entrance. We had a very nice time there. Strongly recommend!!
Everything was as expected. Couple of suggestions. There were no instructions for the fireplace. We awakened to a fire in the morning. There were no curtains on the small rod above the king sized bed.
We did however enjoy our stay and would stay here again.

Liked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Communication
Fantastic cabin, but poor communication with property managers
We were a group of three family members who rented a Fox Den Cabin in July 2023. Right off the bat, we had a problem opening the key lock box because of poor lighting around where it was located, The cabin managers had provided clear instructions though. When we were able to enter the cabin, everything was in excellent condition and well-stocked, except paper towels which were of poor quality.
We had minor problems accessing the TV channels and getting the bathroom lights/exhaust to work. The cabin management says it offers after-hours customer service, but we had a hard time getting in touch with the two ladies who manage the cabins. It was a weekend and late in the evening. Once they did respond, their instructions were clear and helpful. I just wish they were more efficient in getting back to me.
Another time, the key fell from the lock box and we didn't notice it. We were desperately looking for the key after returning from a long and tiring day at Yellowstone National Park. I reached out to the customer service ladies and pleaded for help as we were at our wit's end. They took their own cool time to get back to me. Once they did respond, they were helpful. Had they responded promptly, it would have saved us a lot of angst.
All in all, the cabin was fantastic and impressive, but the customer service response time was poor. Also, the lighting around the lock box needs to be better so people, especially seniors, don't have to struggle to operate it.
National park getaway- My husband and I took a two week trip with my sister and aunt. We stayed in wonderful VRBO homes along the way visiting Jackson Hole, Grand Tetons, Yellowstone and this home did not disappoint. It was close to where we were going and had everything we needed. With a short drive, we were able to enter Yellowstone through the west entrance. This is a cute little community and we had the best time! I highly recommend it and we will definitely be back in the future.
We absolutely loved our stay in the fox den cabin. The location was absolutely beautiful. It was immaculately cleaned and provided us with with supplies to make our stay convenient and easy (dishes, bbq, pillows, extra blankets, etc). If visiting Island Park again, we’d definitely come back.
Very nice people to work with. Excellent property, everything went very smooth nice property very clean did not care for the street it was on too many trucks and construction vehicles, also barking dogs and a rooster next door.
5 stars to the cabin, everything you need.,location was 30 miles to anything we did. It was just a wonderful trip.Dad and his 3 daughters will come back.
Wonderful clean and well stocked cabin. Very spacious and comfortable beds in every room. Easy drive to Yellowstone. Would highly recommend staying at the Fox den cabin.
Cabin was perfect for two retired couples. Beware of noisy rooster next door. Carpeting is worn. Kitchen is very well stocked. Overall nice stay but seemed a bit highly priced for condition of cabin.
Lots of room for families. Kitchen has all the necessary pots and pans but could use Tupperware, aluminum foil and plastic wrap. Bathrooms have great water pressure and hairdryers! Beds are HUGE and comfortable. Quiet town but a bit too far after a long day in Yellowstone, over 35 min which can seem forever when one is tired. However once at the cabin, it’s nice to be away from all the people. We enjoyed our visit very much. Tip: get gas in west Yellowstone, much cheaper than in Idaho.
The cabin was very nice; roomy, clean, updated. Two couples stayed 4 nights, it was a perfect place to relax and access Yellowstone. The only drawback was the second bedroom. The bunk beds are queen sized, but my wife and I weren’t comfortable sleeping against the wall.
The listing was exactly like it said. The cabin is just about 25 minutes from West Yellowstone. Once your in the park you're anywhere from 30 min-1 hour from popular sites. We visited Old Faithful, Mammoth, the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, Midway Geyser Basin and several other popular spots.
The cabin was beautiful, it had a lovely gas fireplace, large table and a great kitchen. There was just three of us so there was plenty of room. The kitchen was well equipped, I was so happy that there was even a crock pot.
The bedrooms were large and had great wi-fi connection. The master room could use a mattress topper (the mattress was a really firm) My daughter said her room was great.
It would have been nice to have cable, we were there on a Sunday and Monday night and my husband is a big football fan, he wasn't able to access the channel (it required a password), he had to watch the games on my iPad, which was ok but the big tv would have been nicer. They did have a smart tv so you could access your Netflix account. : )
The local store aren't to overpriced, were from California so pricing was comparable, I heard negative reviews on costs of groceries. If your on more of a budget you may want to take some non-perishable snacks with you. The cabin had coffee (that was nice), cooking oil, and seasonings.
During this time of year a lot of businesses were closed but we found a great restaurant in West Yellowstone called the Buffalo Bar. We also found a great drive up coffee house.
The firepit was a nice add-on since the evenings were chilly.
We would definitely stay here again if/when we visit Yellowstone an the Spring or Fall when more things are open.
We really enjoyed the cabin.
We really enjoyed our time at the Fox Den. The grill needed to be cleaned and maintenance. When we turned it on, we ended up with a fire from the build up in the grill. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay at the Fox Den. It was in a great location for recreation in Island Park and Yellowstone.
Close to west yellow stone entrance about 25-30 minutes drive . Well stocked with all the things you need , Property does not have AC which I am assuming none of the properties on that side of the US have however if you open the windows I would be really cool at night . Check in instructions were easy to follow , nearest gas station is about 3-4 miles drive . Would love to stay again .
This was a beautiful place with lots of space. Had everything we needed for making meals. Used it as our lodging during our time to see Yellowstone. Was a little bit of a drive to get in but was never an issue. Would definitely stay again.
