Get away to the Stony Mountain Chalet located in Towamensing Trails- A spacious 2 story upscale chalet in a private lake community with all the comforts of home. The house has large living room with 55 inch flat screen TV, high ceiling, large deck with propane grill and patio furniture, gas fireplace, and TVs in all 4 bedrooms. Two bedrooms on first floor with queen beds in each room. Master bedroom upstairs has queen size bed and master bath attached. Additional bedroom upstairs has two queen beds. There are three full size tiled bathrooms. Finished basement with ping pong table, Foosball, Air hockey table, board games, TV with DVD, and washer/dryer in separate room.
Close proximity to the ski areas of Big Boulder and Jack Frost. and approx 25 min to Camelback. Local activities include skiing, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and fishing.(PA license required for fishing), 15 min from the Pocono Race Track and 3 area golf courses and close to the Casino. State park and white water rafting nearby. Tanger Outlets located within 30 minutes. Please note that boats and kayaks are not permitted by renters on private lake in Towamensing Trails. State Parks are in the area for boating/kayaking use. (BELTZVILLE STATE PARK, HICKORY RUN STATE PARK) Renters must be 28 years of age or older to rent. A maximum of 8 badges are allowed by the association for the amenities at the lake/pool and clubhouse.

* Vehicle passes are included in reservation fee. A form from office is required to receive vehicle passes. Form requires license plate numbers and

Beautiful home!

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. Clean, spacious, and a kitchen with all the things you might need to cook meals for the family. Great deck with plenty of room. Lots of wildlife in the area - we saw deer, a black bear, fox, and chipmunks, A fun time for all!

Lovely neighborhood

We appreciated that the house had a basement full of games (football, air hockey and table tennis). The couch and beds were very comfy. We loved being able to eat outside on the patio. It was lovely to have swimmable lake and pool in the community a short drive away. It would have been helpful to know the house didn’t provide a weeks worth of TP and paper towels. .

Nice place and location

We enjoyed our stay at the house, it had plenty of cooking items so that we could enjoy meals together. It was very clean, and from the house we could see wildlife such as deer and bears. It was just about 30 minutes to an hour from most things you would want to visit in the Poconos, so we felt it was a good location. We enjoyed the pool and lake one day as well.

Perfect Girls weekend getaway

Our group consisted of six ladies who were taking the weekend to reconnect, chat, relax, and visit Jim Thorpe. This property was perfect. It offered plenty of space for us to spread out and for most of us to have our own bed.. The main living area is large and open and very comfortable. That is where we spent the majority of our time when we were at the house. The kitchen is well stocked with anything that you might need to prepare your own meals in the house. There is also a lower level with additional seating, foosball, ping pong, and air hockey. It ended up snowing a bit the first night that we were there and that was a beautiful sight to see. We also saw tons of deer in the neighborhood. We were there a bit before prime season, but the neighborhood seems very quiet and family friendly. And the houses are spaced apart to allow for privacy. Our group came with two cars and there was plenty of space for easy parking and unloading when we arrived. We enjoyed using the propane fireplace on the main level. It really added to the ambience and feeling of coziness while we were there. Also Dave and Kim were very helpful with any questions that we had and responded quickly. It is obvious that they have taken a lot of time and care creating a welcoming and comfortable environment. We also visited the town of Jim Thorpe on Saturday afternoon, which was an easy 20 to 25 minute drive. We definitely recommend this lovely property .

Enjoyed Our Stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay however, we feel that we could have been told that the basement was not heated. The game room was located in the basement. There was a thermostat on the main floor, but if you set it higher, the other floors get too warm. Other than that, the house was clean and cozy!

Awesome house

We had a great time. This was a holiday celebration for a family that is spreading out across the country. House is clean, basement is fun with ping pong, foosball, and air hockey. We saw a lot of deer. Owner had the house decorated for Christmas which was great.

Great time in the Poconos

Dave and Kim have hosted a wonderful property in the Poconos for family and friends alike. They were easy to get a hold of and very responsive to questions. The property itself is in a good location and has access to many interesting local destinations. It's a great home with a game room in the basement, which is fun for those rainy weather days. We didn't take advantage of the kitchen, but it seemed like it had everything that you could possibly need. Btw, booklets/brochures were left for fun activities to do in the area. My family and I had a wonderful time in the Poconos!

The minute you walk into this house, you feel at home. I was there during the Xmas holiday, and the house was beautifully decorated for the holiday, which just added the special touch and shows the care the home receives. There were 6 of us, and while the house was large enough it felt cozy. The living room with fireplace, was inviting and perfect, great gathering place to watch a movie. The kitchen has everything you need to make those great family meals that can be enjoyed in the dining area. Bedrooms are large and beds are comfortable, each with a TV.. The bathrooms are also big and well kept. It also has a large, basement with games. This home is perfect, and I would highly recommend it. It was the perfect family ski getaway. We all loved it.

Great escape for a family retreat!

House was beautiful inside and out. The roaming deer in the morning and evening were great we could walk up and feed them. Kitchen was stocked with everything you could imagine and then some. All the bedrooms were spacious and very nice. I would definitely come back and stay. only thing I could ask for is a back deck!

Excellent vacation house!

We really enjoyed spending our vacation week in this house. It was spacious enough for our age group of 2 to 63. The open layout was great, very clean, well stocked kitchen, internet and decorated very nicely. I loved that lighted tree in the corner. The dining room table was great for eating together, playing games, and coloring with the little ones. We liked the ping pong table, air hockey and other games in the basement. We also loved spending time on the deck with the deer coming by for a visit. Definitely would rent this house again. Thank you so much, Kim & Dave!

Best vacation house we have ever stayed in!

I booked this chalet for a family getaway at the beginning of the summer. We had a wide range of ages ( from 4 to 75 ). I cannot say enough how happy we were with our overall experience. The house is absolutely beautiful. The pictures do not do it justice. There is plenty of space for everyone to do their own thing, but also a large enough table for us all to play cards together. The house was immaculate and well decorated. The beds were very comfortable and laid out well. We really enjoyed the beach , the lake, the pool, and the playground. It was never too crowded and everything was very well maintained. The owners were extremely nice and so easy to work with. I would definitely rent this house again. You can’t go wrong with this one!!!

3 Generations of Very satisfied guests

Ideal layout satisfied everyone at all times. Everybody loved the first floor open floor plan for extended family time. Everybody also loved the "kid friendly" basement for the time when having 3 generations under 1 roof became a bit too much during an all day rain :-) Those who had a working vacation were thrilled with the internet strength & reliability. Wonderful hosts, too. Our only regret was that our schedules wouldn't allow us to stay longer. Thanks so much, Kim & Dave!
