Mysig björnstuga - jul på stugan!

En vacker tallskyttig stuga avskilt på 3 tunnland skogseiendom för dig själv. Privat och mysigt, vi är bara 1/2 mil till floden, 3 miles till Cooter's Place, 10 minuter till Luray Caverns och stad, och 5 minuter till Washington Jefferson National Forest. Vi är 27 kilometer från Shenandoah National Park's Skyline Drive.

Min man och jag älskar båda att bo i vår stuga där det är lugnt och vackert och tyst. Det är en utmärkt plats att varva ner och fokusera på varandra.

Stugan erbjuder 3 sovrum utrustade med 2 drottningssängar och 1 uppsättning enkelstor våningssängar. Alla nya madrasser och kuddar! Helt nya DECK avslutade just den 15 november! Vacker täckt veranda för att njuta av din morgon i en gungstol, regn eller glans. Stor eldstad och Adirondack-stolar att sitta och steka marshmallows eller bara titta på någon "caveman-tv". Stugan har också en vedeldad öppen spis inuti som är super varm och romantisk med den speciella någon.

Vi har SKÅL-tv och INGEN Wi-Fi. Men om du är som jag vill du fortfarande ha tillgång till alla dina Netflix- och Prime-tv-program. Vi får utmärkt mobilservice i kabinen och du är välkommen att Hotspot din telefon eller annan mobiltelefon och ansluta till tv så att du kan titta på alla dina show till ditt hjärts innehåll. Cozy Bear Cottage ansvarar inte för extra avgifter för din mobilplan.

Comfortable

Everything worked as described. Well stocked with spices appeared to have what you would need for cooking but I only used kettle and toaster as don’t cook on vacation. Only has 1 hair dryer wall mounted in master bath- that worked for us but might want to bring one if more people staying. Close to caverns snd park.

Great getaway location!

Really nice place. Clean and tidy. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment and coffee. Close to some good hikes and Luray caverns.

Excellent location for hiking the AT in SNP

Our group of ladies who love to hike the AT had a great stay here. Comfortable beds and beautiful setting. Check-in was seamless Thanks for a lovely place to stay.

Fall Family Weekend

Great spot to get over to Shenandoah NP during the day and the amenities of Luray as needed. Roads getting in are very dark at night, as long as you keep that in mind you'll enjoy the stay and the location.

Idyllic getaway

Wonderful experience. The place is so cute, beautifully maintained, and well stocked with plenty of extra comforts. It's close to many beautiful hikes and also close to town. Appreciated the hosts' great communication as well as the nice little details (like comfy pillows!). We would definitely love to come back. Fantastic!

Nice Place

Mellanie and Marty’s home near Luray is just as advertised in the listing. I traveled here with my 80 year old parents to explore Shenandoah National Park and surrounding areas. The cabin is an easy drive to the park (either through Luray or Elkton). The area is very quiet. We did not hear or see any neighbors while we were there. Everything in the home was in working order. WiFi was good and I was able to stream Netflix with no issues. The check in process and communication with the owners was good. I would recommend this cabin if you are visiting the area.

Cute cozy cabin

Great cabin in the woods. Secluded, very clean, cute bear decorations, bunk beds were taken down into 2 singles, hot tub was nice. Overall a great stay!

Cabin with lots of unexpected amenities in a great location.

The cabin was cozy and quaint with clean rooms and lots of amenities. I was very impressed with how well-stocked the cabin was. There was a pack-and-play for kids to sleep in, a baby bathtub, shampoo and soap, toilet paper, paper towels, coffee, games, and many other items. I’ve stayed at other VRBO properties that don’t provide any of those amenities. I would highly recommend this property.

Great getaway 2 hours from DC

Clean and cozy cabin just far enough to get away from it all. Lots of activities nearby, but the owners set up the cabin so you won't have to leave if you want solitude.

Wonderful, quiet cabin

We stayed here with our two little girls (1,3) for a few days while we explored the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cabin. It was clean and very comfortable. The location was great for being isolated but also being close enough to town to head in for dinner and to Shenandoah for hiking--exactly what we wanted in this regard. The cabin was well stocked for our purposes (e.g. kid cups/plates) and had some nice touches that we haven't encountered in other places (a double towel rack in the master bath for instance). The gates on the porch worked really well for keeping the kids contained on the porch. Speaking of the porch, we greatly enjoyed our time on the porch in the cool of the morning and at night. We would almost certainly stay in this cabin again if we travel back to this area.

Cute cabin!

We wanted a cabin stay to decompress after spring break in DC. Nice and relaxing. The fire pit was our favorite thing. Cabin is accurately described. Charming! Beds were comfy. Neighbors have a barking dog that woke us up one night-not sure what that was about. Master bathroom has been nicely updated. We didn’t do much in the area except Storybook trail (teens love the rock scrambling).

Cute Getaway Cabin

This was a great property and well suited for our weekend away. The house was clean and nicely decorated. We especially loved the hot tub and proximity to Shenandoah for hiking.

Cabin stay

The home was a nice and quiet retreat in the woods. The property manager was quick to respond to some of the issues that existed when we arrived. When we checked in, the screen door was lying on the back patio and no firewood was available on the porch. Property description did not reflect that renters needed to put sheets and blankets on the beds upon arrival. She explained the reason why, but after traveling all day, that was the last thing we wanted to do. Well water is the primary source of water for the house. It has a slight sulphur taste and smell, so it may not be suitable for drinking, in our opinion. Despite these comments, we enjoyed our stay at the cabin.

Wonderful getaway

Cute and cozy cabin in the woods. Exactly how we envisioned it. Our family had an amazing experience in Shenandoah Valley. I’ve been visiting this location for the past 10 years, and this was the best experience so far. Cabin was comfortable, clean, and decorated thoughtfully. We will be back again!

Marty and I love our cabin in Luray. We enjoy the peacefulness and solitude just a few days can bring. Marty is a retired Army veteran and I work in human resources for our church. Together we have 3 children and 2 grandchildren, all of whom love spending time at A Cozy Bear Cottage. It's great family fun but also cozy enough for just the two of us!
