Your "Mountain Oak" Smoky Mountain home has a beautiful mountain view, is newly redecorated, and is in the perfect location between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, just 5 minutes from the Parkway, but still secluded, peaceful, and quiet. So close to Dollywood, if you sit out on your deck at night you can sometimes hear the lonesome wail of their steam locomotive. Remember, if you stay in Gatlinburg, it could take over an hour to get to Pigeon Forge/Dollywood. If you stay in northern Pigeon Forge/Wears Valley, it could take over an hour to get to Gatlinburg. Mountain Oak is just minutes from Pigeon Forge, Dollywood, Gatlinburg, Cades Cove and many other popular destinations.

Mountain Oak boasts 2 bedrooms with a king log bed in one and a queen in the other. Both have sliding glass doors that open to your peaceful deck with rocking chairs, where you can enjoy the beautiful mountain view. It also have 2 full bathrooms, a comfortable living area with a sleeper sofa, gas log fireplace, and large HDTV. A multi-use table can be used for dining or working, flip the top and it becomes a card table, or remove the top and it is a bumper pool table!!. The kitchen has modern appliances and granite countertops. Go outside on the lower deck and enjoy the charcoal grill (don't forget to bring your charcoal) and hot tub.

Upstairs is a small bonus room where the kids can spend time on a comfortable love seat playing the XBox 360 or watching a DVD on the Blu-ray player. You are welcome to bring your own games (or even your game system), controllers, and movies.

Although close to all the attractions, Mountain Oak is on a peaceful and secluded mountainside. Our cabin is not the place to come to if you plan on working!! We hope you take your time here to unplug, unwind, and get away from the stresses of work and home.

Although Mountain Oak is in the mountains, getting to Mountain Oak is easy compared to the roads to many mountain cabins in the area. Like most all mountain cabins in the area, if there is snow or ice in the forecast (which is actually pretty rare), you should have a four wheel drive vehicle to get up and down the mountain, and/or bring enough provisions to remain in the cabin until the road is clear. Otherwise a four wheel drive is not necessary.

We are happy to give you recommendations to many popular restaurants and attractions, and we can give you directions to avoid a lot of traffic issues by using back roads that only locals know about.

We provide a "starter" pack of soaps, shampoo, paper towels, toilet paper, dish washing detergent, laundry detergent, etc. Also all bed linens and bath towels are provided. Due to hygiene concerns, we do not provide any types of food products which can be carried over from one guest to another. There are many stores close by where food and supplies can be purchased.
