This property served us well during our stay in Juneau! It is located very close to Mendenhall Glacier and just down the road from the airport. The space is plenty spacious for a family (we had four adults and 2 children). Tom was a very responsive host as well!
It met our needs, and we found everything that we needed. Inside the house was great, but the outside needed to be taken care of. We did not need to use it, but maybe some families will be impressed by how clean the outdoors is.
The listing falls short at how awesome this place is. The owners went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. It's located in a quiet neighborhood and close to everything you would ever want to do! Definitely will book again.
This home was very clean and the landlord was great with communication and responding to questions. This is a short distance from Mendenhall Glacier and some great running trails!
This was exactly what we needed for a week in Juneau of sightseeing, fishing, and a wedding. My wife and I, our three young kids, and my in-laws all shared the space and it was comfortable with that group size. The basics were all there as far as linens and kitchenware/dishes. The location is not too far from the glacier, but we did find that Juneau is very spread out, so expect to drive a lot. Thanks to our hosts! We would stay here again!
Overall our stay was pleasant. The house was clean and that’s my main concern. I think this place was newly listed as a rental because there wasn’t the usual leftover condiments or spices you have at other places. Some complimentary coffee would have been nice but not necessary and doesn’t affect my rating. I did appreciate the laundry with soap and dryer sheets the host provided. My only minor dislike was the view of the neighbor who is a hoarder. Again this would not keep me from renting again here. Thank you for hosting us.
The house was a great option for three couples. Only had one shower but the second half bath made it workable. Great option for the cost. Everything was clean and there were some nice touches, usb plugs by beds, hangers in the closets, baskets in the bathroom, etc. you are very close to Mendenhall glacier and the airport. Not a bad drive to downtown. The house is located at the end of the road, so it is a quiet spot in a neighborhood.
My husband and I stayed a week at this property with my 80 and 72 year old parents and our 8 and 11 year old. There was plenty of room and with the 2 bathrooms and laundry it was perfect. Its nice it's all one level for elderly. Its also a safe place if you have littles because there aren't alot of breakable or things that they could get hurt on.
The dining seating is just perfect for 6 and there is an extra bar with 2 stools that is nice in the kitchen. We cooked most of our meals and there was plenty of cookware and the coffee pot was perfect size too.
Beds were very comfortable and soft linens and blankets. The kids loved the bunk beds. Thr lower bunk is bigger and could accommodate 2 adults or kids.
We estimate we saved over over $500 just being able to cook most all our meals. Safeway grocery is 5 minutes away.
We also loved being so close to the Mendenhall Glacier and Auke Bay. So convient. 15 minutes from downtown Juneau and 20 from Douglas Island. We rented an older 7 person vehicle from Juneau Car rental formerly rent a wreck. It was perfect for getting around.
The manager was great we called when we misread the internet password and she was very nice.
I highly recommend this property for making memories in Juneau, saving money, convience and comfort.
The house has been recently refurbished and is in a very quiet neighborhood close (2 miles) to the airport. It has a washer & dryer which is nice for extended stays. The property is approximately 10 miles from downtown Juneau so you will need to rent a car to get around the area. There was plenty of room for the 6 of us (4 adults and two children).

We are a family of 6 including our little dog Mr. Tubbs. My husband and I both graduated from Juneau Douglas High School and the University of Alaska Southeast. We love the community of Juneau and all it offers.
Why they chose this property
Tom loves this property for its location at the end of the street in a nice neighborhood. It is one story with a flat lot and plenty of parking. He also likes that it is close to glacier lakes and Auke Bay Harbor for fishing. While working on the property I found I enjoyed hearing the sound of the Mendenhall River and the occasionally "Whoo hoo" of rafters going through the rapids.
