Lovely cottage and massive gardens

We had a fantastic family stay in this lovely cottage. Gerard & Linda were excellent hosts, providing welcome scones on arrival, easter eggs for the children, and we were given chocolate brownies for the journey home. The cottage is very comfortable and cosy. The garden is amazing. We enjoyed walks from the cottage, including through the fields with the dog, to the village pub. Padstow & Rock were circa 40 mins drive & great day out. Good Wifi for 'working from home'. We would love to go back again!

Perfect cottage and hosts

Perfect for us as a family of five adults and one seven month old baby. The property was well equipped with everything we needed. Gerard and Linda are the best hosts we have ever had, lovely people and all the treats, fresh flowers in every room, home made scones and bread and a leaving present of home made brownies! Plus, a hand made birthday card for me. The garden was great fun with all the outdoor equipment in the utility room. A great cottage and very friendly hosts. I would highly recommend.

Hollyhock Cottage

Lovely ground floor cottage with a beautiful garden in the pretty village of Blisland. A very quiet and peaceful area and just a few minutes walk onto the moor. The cottage had everything we needed for our stay over Easter. Would definitely stay again.

October half term trip

We had a lovely welcome with fresh scones and homemade jams awaiting us. The house was very clean and well equipped. The owners were very welcoming but otherwise we didn’t see them again until we were ready to leave when they kindly presented us with some more lovely home baking. Overall it was a lovely place to stay.

Lovely cottage. Wonderful garden and the welcome scones were a real treat

You can start your countryside walks from the door, although the walk going north was good exercise! Overall a great stay

Lovely cottage set in a huge garden! Location was perfect for everything we wanted to do and it was so peaceful and quiet. Homemade cream tea, fresh bread and jams and tea on arrival were a lovely touch and much appreciated after the four hour journey. Thank you

Fabulous cottage which is set in a peaceful position.

Someone has worked so hard to create this beautiful cottage. It has been a labour of love. Gerald and Linda have thought of everything a family would need. It was great to spend time with my grandchildren in such a wonderful environment. The walks from the cottage are fantastic and we discovered beaches we had not visited before.

Last minute booking as lockdown lifted

As our holiday abroard was cancelled we booked last minute into this accomadation - we were not disappointed. Great cottage with a lovely garden in secluded setting. If you love getting away from it all and having picuresque walks, this is the place for you. Geat local pubs (within 4 miles), disused railway walk alongside the river (camel trail) and beautiful Bodmin Moore, fully recommend it.

gorgeous property, fantastic location

The converted barn is beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean, and cosy (despite the rainy weather). We were greeted with a plate of freshly baked scones, cream and jam, plus fresh bread and jam, and made to feel very at home. Great location for beautiful walks from the door. Highly recommend.

June 2019

Just spent 10 days in this lovely property in Blisland, had a relaxing and very pleasant stay. The place is spotless and has everything you would want to make your stay comfortable, the garden is lovely and watching all the local wildlife was lovely especially early in the morning. We also took our jack Russell with us and had no problems. Gerald and Linda were really nice and welcoming and the jam, bread, scones and brownies were delicious. Would highly recommended this property to anyone looking for a relaxing and comfortable stay with pleasant walks and central for a lot of dog friendly beaches etc.

Beautiful Location with welcoming Hosts

We loved our stay at Hollyhock cottage, it is a cosy, warm cottage with lots of character and Gerard and Linda make it even more welcoming with all the little touches of flowers and scones. Linda and Gerard were the most amazing hosts I have ever had and made us feel very comfortable. I would recommend this place to anyone, its in a perfect location, has everything you could need and the garden is lovely. Thanks for having us all.

Clean & Cosy

Linda & Gerard were amazing hosts. Home baked scones on arrival and a warm welcome with some generous basic food items in the kitchen for us too. They then just let us get on with it. They were on hand for anything we needed and nothing was too much trouble. The ground floor flat was extremely clean with good linen & towels provided. Perfect space for our family of 5. Beautiful gardens for the kids and dog to roam in and excellent walks right from the front door. Good local pub about a 15 min walk. Beds a bit too hard for us as a family but that is a small negative.....we would definitely come back.
