This has the wow factor

Stayed at Sunset Cottage and I’ve gotta say, it certainly has the wow factor. The hosts were excellent communicators and nothing was too much trouble if we had a question. The property itself is accurately described and true to the pictures. The decor is fabulous and has a real beach vibe. The kitchen was fully equipped but we ate out every day as there is an abundance of restaurants close by. The pool deck was amazing and the sunsets were beautiful. The location was perfect for us and I would 100% rent this villa again. Thank you to Stu and Cathy for allowing us to stay.

Very clean property with lovely out look over lake

A very clean property with a gorgeous out look over lake very well maintained property with pool guy and gardeners once a week. Good communication with Stu the owner. Having stayed here for 2 weeks I do feel we over paid for this property paying less for more space there were two good sized bedrooms and a very small box room with a glass door no privacy but probably ok for kids listed to sleep 8 people I would find it very cramped and the road noise did keep me awake at times that coupled with the AC motor outside one bedroom and the pool pump motor outside the other bedroom but after four nights slept fine. Overall a lovely property.

Lovely property with wonderful amenities. Came in early for relaxation prior to work conference and this was perfect. Everything you need with amazing amenities. Responsive pleasant owners who seem genuinely happy to share their space with you. I would stay again but typically travel with a large dog which is not allowed but otherwise this is the perfect. Close to everything you might want to do!

This home is beautiful! Perfect location and beautiful view on the lake. Perfect for family vacations! Our kids loved the swimming pool and going fishing in the lake. The house was spotless! We found paradise 🌴

The Sunset Cottage provided the perfect place for our spring break vacation. We *LOVED* the pool and hot tub. The view of Lake Kennedy at all times of day was amazing, but at sunset it was truly magnificent. We logged some hours outside just enjoying the wildlife watching. Stu and Cathy have thought of EVERYTHING in this home. I found a book to read by the pool during our trip and my kids played chess on the one rainy day during our trip. The neighbors are friendly and the house is the cleanest vacation rental we have ever had. We didn't want leave! I would absolutely recommend this rental and would love to come back to one of Stu and Cathy's rentals the next time we are in Cape Coral.

I rented this house for the week for my teenage daughters spring break trip. I couldn't have been happier with what we rented. My wife and three daughters absolutely loved the property and the cleanliness of it. Sometimes when you rent a property, the pictures and title do not match what you're actually getting. This is not the case. The property was decorated amazing, the pool, spa dock, and everything provided was as advertised and in tiptop shape. Stew was absolutely wonderful to work with and answered any questions we had throughout our stay. I will rent a property from Stu whenever I can because I absolutely trust that their properties are everything they say they will be. Fun, Relaxing Vacay!

Amazing property, the decor is beautiful and the house is immaculate. We enjoyed swimming during the day and hot tub at night. Stu and Cathy have been married since 1980, you do the math! We have four grown children with four amazing spouses. We are the grandparents of twelve grandchildren and are semi-retired. We started our Vacation Rental Business in 2010. We found that Stu is awesome at customer service and Cathy is great at finding, rehabbing and decorating the homes. Together we make a great team. We love making unique vacation rental homes and sharing in the stories of your special vacations.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with the Sunset view, the location for a sunny warm pool deck and the view of the lake. This home is just a half mile bike ride, or a short kayak ride from another of our Vacation Rental Homes VRBO 1453524 and we thought it would make a guest cottage to either rent alone or as overflow for larger families. We love to remodel homes and wanted to make this home into an amazing Vacation Property. And now we have Mermaid that is just 5 houses up the street on the same lake with the same amazing sunset. Mermaid VRBO #2787741.

What makes this property unique

This home has it all. 200 year old barn sliding doors, shiplap, farm sink, pebble showers, pool bath, a brand new shiny pool and hot tub with all the bells and whistles. Right down to a controller for the pool and spa inside the house. The extremely cool part is that our largest rental home Schell-Topia can be seen across the lake. If you need overflow for our larger home or if necessary it can be a Guest Cottage to that home or rent it on it's own.
