An excellent location to rest and enjoy the peace and quiet. There are many good places to eat and walk, with plenty of recommendations in the cottage information. The welcome pack and eggs were most enjoyable.Thank you Julian
Friendly and accommodating host. Wonderful, quiet location for our stay while visiting relatives in the area. Close to Abergavenny. Numerous things to do and see. Would not hesitate to stay here again.
A magical, charming retreat with romantically quirky interior tugged away between hills and hedges - Lovley hosts which make you feel like having arrived at family
Beautiful quite farm setting, well equipped accommodation. Our host was available if needed just across the yard.
Julian was very helpful with travel trips for interesting destinations. Pub suggestions too!
Would definitely consider staying again if returning to the area.
Located in a beautiful part of the country with stunning views Clock Cottage is a delightful place to stay. The cottage is spacious and very well furnished and equipped. The Owners are very welcoming and thoughtful. Our second stay which would indicate how much we appreciated this lovely property.
We appreciated very much the comfort of the cottage, the quiet location, the walks in this beautiful region.
Special thanks to our hosts for their kind attention and help.
This stay was perfect , friendly , extra helpful hosts, beautiful peace and quiet and with lovely countryside to walk in all around. We particularly liked the donkeys and the hosts love of animals is mirrored by us.
My partner and I stayed here a few nights recently. Beautiful location on a farm, the cottage is very comfortable, spacious and well equipped. Julian was a fantastic host, offering advice on the area and allowing us to explore his farm grounds, with beautiful gardens, and vegetable patch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and many thanks to Julian. Highly recommend!
The view is stunning. Lovely clean place. Host friendly but left us to ourselves - just what we like - but was always available if we needed anything. Good place to base ourselves as we wanted to have a good look at the surrounding area - near and far.
A great property in a beautiful quiet location. Well-appointed accommodation, clean, spacious, comfortable. Fab host. We loved it.

Lovely cottage with amazing views!
A wonderful light and warm cottage with amazing views across rural countryside. The cottage is very well appointed with everything you need to make you feel at home. The owners Julian and Clarissa were very welcoming and helpful, nothing was too much trouble, would recommend and will return.
The cottage is very well appointed, with a really comfortable bed, luxury bathroom, modern wood burner, comfy chairs; everything you need to feel at home. The owners went out of their way to make sure everything was to our liking. And the location is ideal whether you want walking, fine dining and other great places to eat and drink or exploring this part of Wales. It's also surprisingly easy to get to yet quiet and secluded.
Just returned from a four night stay in this lovely cottage. The location is stunning, with beautiful views across the surrounding countryside. The cottage itself is extremely well appointed and equipped- we had everything we needed for our stay. Julian is the perfect host. Attentive and there if you need him, but never intrusive. We would love to stay here again and would definitely recommend the property to others looking for a relaxing break, away from it all in a beautiful location.
We had a great stay and it is in a lovely location. Everything you need is there including logs for the fire, a roll top bath and really comfy bed!! Always good to have a great owner who met us to go through everything.
Location is great for getting around - Abergavenny is a few minutes away, Hereford 45 mins and Cardiff about an hour. Abergavenny is a great town and we wished we had more times to try all the restaurants! Full of high street and local independent shops
For a special occasion the Michelin star Walnut Tree Inn is five minutes from the accommodation.
Highly recommend this accommodation
Booked a last-minute getaway at this cute cottage and had a great time exploring the beautiful Welsh countryside. Great walks from your doorstep, plus castles and pretty towns to explore. Recommend the waterfalls trail in the Brecon Beacons, the climb from Crickhowell to Table Mountain and Sunday lunch at the lovely Hunter's Moon pub, which is a pleasant 40-minute walk from the cottage. Julian is a fabulous host - thank you for accommodating us at such short notice, and for the apples!

About the host
Hosted by J Fonseca
I was born and grew up in this area. I have worked here all my life as a Solicitor until retirement 5 years ago. Clock cottage forms part of but is seperate from our small 75 acre farm and has its own lawned and walled area with lovely views over the Graig Hill to the northwest. We brought up our four children here and it has been a wonderful family home to which they are all drawn in spite of having grown up and married and they bring their children back here as often as they are able. I think that this part of the World is one of the most beautiful and everytime that I return here from other parts of the World I consider myself very blest and lucky to live here. We are all keen walkers and cyclists and spend a lot of our leisure time walking and cycling throughout the area. We are very close to Offas Dyke path and to White Castle and one can walk 'The Three Castles 'walk from here, about twenty miles taking in White, Grosmont and Skenfrith Castles in a large circular walk or do it over a couple of days in sections.
Why they chose this property
It is very pretty, cosy, light and airy and convenient to so many local attractions. It has been beautifully refurbished and is in a very beautiful rural location. Abergavenny hosts the National Eistedfodd in 2016 and Hay Festival, Brecon Jazz, Abergavenny Food Festival are all within easy distance. We are only 40 miles or an easy train Journey of 40 minutes from Cardiff which has a very good shopping centre and a wonderful museum and Art gallery. There are numerous good restaurants nearby including, The Walnut tree, The Crown at Whitebrook, The Bell at Skenfrith, The 1860, The Hardwick as well as good hotel and Pub restaurants such as The Angel in Abergavenny,The Bear in Crickhowell, The Skirrid Mountain Inn, supposedly the oldest Pub in Wales, and our very own local, The Hunters Moon. Crickhowell hosts a Literary and Walking Festival and is within 30 minutes drive.
What makes this property unique
The Cottage is spacious and light and has a very nice feel to it. It is an easy living space.
