If you’re looking for lodging near Yellowstone, the Brook Trout Mountain Home is located just 8 miles from the West Yellowstone Entrance and accommodates very large groups up to 18 people.

The upstairs level of this two-story log home has 3 bedrooms that sleep 8 people (one bedroom with a king bed, one with a queen bed, and one with 2 full beds) plus a sofa sleeper that sleeps 2 more. There are also 2 full bathrooms. The lower level has an additional three bedrooms that sleep 8 and 2 full size bathrooms, plus a lounge area for hanging out or watching tv.

You’ll enjoy grilling out under the big Montana sky with the propane grill and spending cozy evenings around the living room fireplace.

There are also two parking areas available, so there’s plenty of room for multiple cars and/or toys!

The Yellowstone area is a very diverse vacation destination. It’s the perfect place to experience a memorable family or group vacation!

Lovely home

Great stay

We rented this property for a group trip. We had 5 couples, 1 single adult and 1 child on the trip. The property fit our needs perfectly! We were able to go out and enjoy Yellowstone every day and come back and eat dinner together each night. Only minor complaints (lots of flies in the downstairs bathroom, had some issues with the keypad working at times); otherwise was a great stay and would absolutely recommend it as a place to go. Host was also very responsive to calls/questions.

Great house & Location

This house was great. We had 14 people and there was plenty of room. The beds were comfortable and you are only about 10 minutes from the West Gate of the Yellowstone. The house would benefit from air conditioning. We were there in July, so it got hot in the house during the day, but at night the open windows cooled it down to sleep. The town of West Yellowstone is cute & has lots of shops. They do have a couple of grocery stores, but expect to pay at least double what you will pay elsewhere or buy your groceries before you get there. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

Family vacation

This house was perfect for our stay. We had 4 families staying in the house and had plenty of bedrooms and so much room in the house. The bedrooms were very comfortable. The house was clean and well stocked with kitchen and bathroom essentials.

Excellent Yellowstone Base

This stay was a family reunion. Stayed here for a week while we explored Yellowstone, the Tetons, and surrounding area. The location was perfect. Our group included our 90 year old mother and 5 siblings / spouses (ages 55-68). The house was perfect for our needs! The beds were comfortable, everything was clean and well maintained, and there was access to both levels from parking outside, so we had no mobility issues in getting to everyone's rooms. Several used the available washer and dryer - a great feature. The kitchen was well stocked. The 6 bedrooms meant each "family" had their own room, and there were enough bathrooms that no one ever had to wait to use "the facilities". Would definitely highly recommend!!

Great family cabin

This cabin was a great place for our family of 11 to stay for a week. It was close to Yellowstones West entrance. The cabin was clean and spacious The beds were comfortable and bathrooms were well stocked with soap and towels. Our host Bill is a sweet and caring man who was attentive to any need that arose. Thank you Bill for the use of your home. We enjoyed our time there and hope to come back!

Large Family- Week at Yellowstone

Our large 4 extended families--totaling 17--thought this rental was fabulous. We had a 6-month old-71 year old. We stayed for a week. All of the bedrooms and bathrooms were great. The kitchen was WELL stocked. The washer and dryer were used often! There was tons of space for us to spread out, sit, eat, cook, park, and enjoy! We would highly recommend this rental to others!

4 couples place was perfect for us.

We were on motorcycles 1/2 mile of gravel/dirt not great (cause it rained) but we managed. Location great out of town but not too far and right by Yellowstone entrance. Rode all around area Jackson, Grand Tetons and of course the park. Went to Cody and rode Chief Joseph scenic Hwy. overall great experiences.

Great Family Place

This house has plenty of room for family gatherings. We had a family reunion here, visiting Yellowstone. We had bedrooms for everyone and lots of space for down time. There are several horseback riding places surrounding the house. Weat Yellowstone and the West entrance to the park is convenient. The house is in really good shape and has that rustic feel of a cabin. We would recommend this house.

Great Place for Reunion

We really enjoyed staying here. It was close to Yellowstone, floating the river, the Grizzly-Wolf Center, and beautiful scenery. The home is spacious and well laid out for group get togethers, but still enough bedrooms for getting lots of little ones to sleep! Host is very nice and helpful.

Country modern

The place is big. Very clean. Well laid out. Kitchen is well stocked, plenty of counter space. All the cookwares you need and more. Beautiful views from the big window upstairs. A great place to stay for big family or reunion. Bill is very responsive to address any issues you have. Highly recommended. Definitely stay here again.
