About this property

A Historic Neighborhood Home

This an older home with a homey atmosphere that is located in a quiet historic neighborhood (Sam Hughes)with plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby. Our street is a main bike path that’s straight to the University of Arizona, .5 miles away.
A 24 acre park is half block away, with swimming pool open (Memorial day to Labor Day), a library, lighted tennis courts and 2 incredible playgrounds for young children. There is an attached studio where both kitchens share a common locked door and sometimes the huge backyard might be shared. The yard has a grill, shade and fire pit with desert landscape.
**Ask for monthly or extended stay discounts.
From Jan. 22-Feb. 16 during the Gem and Mineral Show ( a breathtaking display of unique gems, minerals and art) from around the world held only in Tucson, I prefer 4/5 day stay during this time. There is no smoking on the property.

3 weeks during Gem Show
Perfect location, convenient to all my areas for work and pleasure. Fantastic backyard with lots of sun and active bird viewing. Owner lives very close, she was very helpful, gracious, and long time resident, so she knows many activities and helpful information. Great stay, I highly recommend everything about this house.

Great weekend
We enjoyed our stay here. The house is roomy and well equipped. The back yard is great. It is well maintained and it is very relaxing to sit on the patio and watch the birds. The house is within walking distance of a very nice park and is centrally located for many adventures. Pat was very helpful with any questions we had.

Quick, three day trip to check out the UoAZ
Brought my 17-year-old son to check out the University. Great place, good location, definitely would stay here again. Pat was very helpful, pleasant, conversational without being too much in our space 😉 Roomy space, two good sized bedrooms with great beds, large living area, nice kitchen. Beautiful backyard. Plenty of parking both in the circle drive and on the street. On a bike route straight to the University.

My friend and I spent a few days in the Tucson area riding bikes. This house was fantastic. Spacious and had all the amenities you could need. Great location, close to lots of restaurants, and coffee shops. Highly recommend.

Only 1 drawback
This is a real bargain in an excellent neighborhood and overall location. The home, though dated, is very nice, the back yard is very large and attractive, and we'd happily come back except for one problem, with which the host is familiar from our communications while there: Cox internet. Unfortunately we were left the wrong password, so our first evening was disconcerting. But once we had the correct one, the Cox modem, as it turned out, didn't work properly and we had to huddle close to our phones with our laptops to get online via the phones. The speed was very slow, and we were unable to use the television through which services such as Netflix and Hulu were available. I recommended to the host changing her I/N provider - and would not recommend staying here if I/N is important to you and she hasn't done so. An unfortunate experience, really, because it is a very nice place and very fairly priced.

Lovely place
Really enjoyable property, well-kept, nice sized rooms and back yard with covered area and table, grill, etc, in a historic neighborhood on a bike-friendly, low-traffic street, park a block away. During my stay no one was staying at the small attached apartment. Owner is responsive and checked in to make sure all was ok when it got cold one night. Would stay here again.

This is a great home, with everything you'll need , including a kitty that visits. Quiet neighborhood, close to everything, with a very responsive host if you need anything. I'll stay again.

Thoughtful owner and comfortable house, great location!!!
As others have mentioned Pat is an enthusiastic host! She is so thoughtful and quick to communicate. She let us swing by before check in to drop off our bags off before exploring the area. The house is great, easy to cook in and perfect for a family or two couples (more if you are close). The location is awesome and safe to walk around at night. Super fast internet. Cool neighborhood, I highly recommend. Note, as mentioned in her listing there is a studio that is connected as another listing that is on the opposite side of the house from the bedrooms. It is possible to hear the people in there but wasn't an issue for us at all. Depends on the renters. We would definitely stay here again!
