This property is clean and equipped with everything you need for a fun and relaxing stay in Wailea, Maui. The decor is classy and minimal. Pool and beach both within walking distance and the condo itself is located in a quiet environment. Owners are quick to respond and friendly!

Retreat from the rain

We have stayed in six different units in Ekahi over the years and are taken with the beautiful surroundings, great beach and walking distance to stores and restaurants. We cannot say enough about are recent stay in 40a. Clean, comfortable, and the beds (what a great nights sleep) fabulous. It's a bit of a hike to the beach (especially coming back) but since a quite pool is right around the corner it didn't matter. All in all a great unit, and a lovely place for a holiday

When in Maui…Stay Here!

Fantastic Maui Trip

We have stayed in several vacation condos around the country and, by far, this was the best experience we have had. The location and quality of this condo made our first trip to Maui extremely memorable. Resort location: Very close to shopping, dining, and nightlife. Condo location: No ocean view, but that really didn't hurt us. Beautiful gardens everywhere. Less than 10 minute walk to the pool, pavilion, and beach. It's clear the managers take great pride in the grounds. Condo quality: AMAZING. The VRBO summary is spot on. No retouched photos or embellishments in the writeup. Very clean and comfortable. This condo is outfitted with everything you need for an amazing day at the pool or beach. Several times we asked ourselves, "I wonder if they have...." and yes. They have it. Right down to a flashlight so we could make our way to a nearby pool for a night swim. Bonnie and Chad's communications were warm, clear, concise, and extremely responsive. If this is your first trip to Maui, or your tenth, this is the condo for you.

Perfect Maui Getaway

My girlfriend and I visited this property during our 5 day stay in Maui. The unit was perfect! They had everything you could need in the kitchen and plenty of beach equipment. The air conditioning worked great as well. The location is right next to plenty of beaches, shopping, and food. Would highly recommend it!

Wonderful place for our family

We had a wonderful stay at this property - great communication and accommodations. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked with nice pots/pans, other cooking tools, and an electric kettle. The beds were very comfortable and our kids loved having their own space between the Murphy bed and sofa bed. The large pool in the community was a huge hit, and we loved being able to walk to the beach with the wagon! Really great beach just steps from the pool. We would definitely stay again!

Amazing, fantastic stay!

This place is exceptional! I almost don't want to review it too well as I don't want it to be booked when we plan a return trip! Place is super clean and well maintained. Very easy process all around. It's literally a home away from home, well stocked, plenty of towels and beach going accessories. Beach access is unmatched. You don't have to cross any roads to get to the beach/ pool areas, it's a simple 3 minute walk across a well manicured property. The free parking is great. Quiet community and everyone was friendly. They have security onsite as well for added comfort. There's two full bathrooms/ shower that are updated. The master bed is comfortable and there's a fold down bed but didn't try it. This stay is way better than any Four Seasons or Andaz property (which are right next door), don't waste your money for less amenities. Highly recommend and would stay again!

Wonderful Experience

My fiancé and I absolutely loved this home. The location, cleanliness, style, and "vibe" were exactly what we wanted for our trip. Bonnie is an exceptional host who was very easy to stay in contact with, and she went above and beyond to support us through a trip cancellation / rescheduling process. Cannot recommend more and we will stay here again for sure!

Perfect Resort/Condo Combination

I have nothing but good things to say about our stay and we will definitely be back. We had stayed in Wailea resort before and fell in love with the area. The stay at Ekahi made for the perfect combination of privacy/space that comes with a condo and the amenities/feel of a resort. Highly recommend this option for anyone that is torn between those two options. Also love that the Wailea beach path is accessible by foot which is the best place for a morning walk/run.

Superior lodgings

A quiet, super clean, very well equipped condo. High end everything. You could cook a Thanksgiving dinner in the kitchen. The owner was very communicative and there is an on island manager who responded to our brief concern in minutes. Everything you needed to have fun at the beach is in the closet. We put the Murphy bed to good use when our daughter was able to join us for a few days. Recommend without reservation.

Great Two Week Experience at 40A Ekahi Village

Previously we have stayed in other Ekahi Village condos and Wailea hotels. We found our 2 week stay at 40A to be our preferred location and plan to return. This is what a Maui condo rental should be - it allows for full enjoyment of the Maui beach and island lifestyle. The furnishings and appliances have been upgraded and are well maintained. The supplies for the kitchen, bathrooms, beach activities etc. are thoughtfully provided. Communication with the owner was very easy. Ekahi Village faces one of the nicest and largest beaches in Maui. Parking is convenient, neighbours are friendly and the pool area is spacious and well looked after. Look no further!

Perfect Location and Condo!

This place had everything! It was very well stocked to cook, stay, go to the beach, pool, you name it! Communication with the owner was always quick and responsive and so sweet! My mom, sister and I all stayed and there was more than enough room for us! We would definitely stay here again!

Lovely vacation

If you have any doubts about booking this rental, don’t even stress! Just book it. Bonnie and Chad are phenomenal hosts that made our stay truly feel like home. The property was quiet, clean, and we had everything we needed for our long awaited vacation stay. They were so accommodating and exceeded any expectations we had. The universe put us in a very safe place, when tragedy struck.

We arrived on Aug 8th. Didn’t know if we should stay or head back home. The airport was over crowded with people that needed to leave quicker than us, so we decided to stay. We stayed close to the condo, spending our days at the beach and utilizing the pools. The grounds were beautiful, the staff were kind and supportive. Eventually, we ventured out. We visited the town of Paia, Mamas Fish House and hiked to Twin Falls. From there we went to a recommended establishment called “Ocean Vodka.” Beautiful mountain view with live Hawaiian music. It was a breath of fresh air. Back to the condo. It was clean, everything was very organized. I have a 13 year old and he loves sleeping on both the pull out couch as well as the Murphy bed. The master bedroom was very peaceful, the bed was comfortable and having 2 bathrooms was a bonus. I would love to visit again some day. #prayingforlahaina

Family vacation with infant

I highly recommend this condo! We had an incredible time. This was our first trip with our 1.5 year old and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay- the condo had everything we needed and more including a pack n play, wagon to bring stuff down to the beach, and beach toys!! This truly felt like a home away from home. The location of the condo is perfectly situation in Ekahi village with access to (in our opinion) the best beach on Maui and beautiful facilities. Bonnie was an exceptional host and quickly responded to every question. We would love to stay again!

The Perfect Home Base

The condo and Wailea Ekahi property were exceptional for our 9-day stay in May. The condo was fully equipped--from kitchen to beach and BBQ supplies--and had so many thoughtful touches that made it feel like home. The pools and beach access were pristine, and the location could not be a better home base for exploring everything to the north and south. We were so glad we chose this condo over the many luxury hotels in the area. We honestly can't wait to go back!

We are a family from California’s Central Coast. We spend as much time outdoors as possible, whether hiking in the pine forests and vineyards of California or snorkeling, boogie boarding, and building on the beaches of Maui. We are drawn to the peaceful, laid-back style of Kihei and Wailea.

Our first stay in Ekahi Village, we recognized it was a special place. During our second stay, we found our piece to call “home”; Ekahi inspires a peaceful, contented sense of being that we haven’t found many other places in the world. The large greenspace and beautiful gardens combine to create a car-free sense of connectedness between the community and the ocean that is perfect for families with young kids and anyone ready to unplug from the pace of modern life for a bit. All walks and ages come to Ekahi, from families hauling babies and toddlers to snowbirds sheltering for a month (or more).

Kihei-side is the peaceful, family-friendly slice of Maui…and Wailea even more so. The islands of Kahoolawe and Lanai provide amazing backdrops for relaxation and beach walks while also creating sheltered, gently-sloping beaches for little ones to safely play near and in the water. The snorkeling around any of the lava outcroppings is excellent and full of turtles and fish.

Even though Ekahi is so peaceful, it is in the middle of everything! A market, fine dining, and premium shops are within walking distance, while just a few minutes away you have a full-size grocery store and all the restaurants and boutiques of Kihei (along with great gelato :)!
