The cabin was as advertised, real close to all the sites and the state park, easy to find, easy to park and allowed for a good place for the family to hang in-between adventures.
It was very clean we didn’t have no problems, it felt just like home. The hotub was huge! The ceiling did have a little leak to it while it rained but other than that it was a amazing place and is a great area for family’s!
I was skeptical given some of the previous comments related to cleanliness and rodents, however, the cabin was exceptionally clean and I did not once experience any unwanted house guest. In addition, the hot tub was clean, hot, and useable. Finally, It was nice to have ample clean beach towels. I recommend this cabin for a family or group of friends cabin adventure in Red River George KY.
Plenty of room for blended families, great location close to shops and gas station, quiet cozy cabin. Will be back for sure

Horrible and very disappointed
The overall property was very horribly disappointing. I some how missed the previous reviews for this one in my search. :-( We rented this cabin for a few reasons. 1.VRBO is typical a reputable agency to rent from. 2.The location was near the Natural Bridge State park where we would be having our annual family reunion. 3.The cabin choice was because it is accessible with very few steps due to one being disabled and having difficulty going up and down steps, so being all one level was also important. Two of our family members drove from Alabama to meet up and stay with us for the reunion. The others came from a few hours away in Tennessee. About the property; as soon as we pulled in the grass had not been maintained in well over a week or more. As we entered the cabin, there was an old musty smell. We looked over the cabin for damage as anyone should before taking possession of a rental and take pictures. We immediately noticed mouse dropping everywhere. On the stove, the counter tops, in the drawers, the silverware tray, the bathroom and on the bedroom furniture. The dishwasher had moldy stagnant water just sitting in the bottom. The shower door would not stay closed. This was not fixed. We immediately called the rental office to let them know of the condition. They didn't act surprised that we were complaining about the conditions. They did send some one to check the dishwasher and wipe down some but was not very thorough. We were pretty much put in a hopeless case. We attempted to search for a different location to stay in the area, but everything was booked due to the July 4th weekend. The longer we stayed the more we saw things that needed attention. We called the management office to complain about the stay again and they asked us if we had contacted the owner. The management is suppose to be over seeing the property(?) They did give us the owners number and they were contacted, which ended up being useless. As soon as the owner answered and I started telling her how disappointed we were and explained the conditions, a man in the background stated, "she wants a refund." I knew then it was hopeless to ask for some accommodation with the expenses. I would not and will not recommend this cabin. A tent would be better.
There were mice and a rat in the kitchen even when lights were on/ droppings in bathroom
The woods are right behind cabin and it was raining but we checked out a day early because of this. We were able to get a refund only because they could rerent cabin that night.
Otherwise a great place -clean, spacious, great location

Secluded cabin, good for a disconnect
Cabin had what we needed, but a bit small. We had an issue with mice in the cabin. They got into food and caused some nighttime disturbances.
The location is very convenient to local businesses. There are other cabins nearby but the cabin still felt private. We came to the area to enjoy the amazing climbing and hiking. This cabin was perfect and provided everything we needed. Thank you!
Compared to a cabin we stayed at earlier in the week, Kentucky Sunshine was the best by far because it was so clean and not too small not too big. We used all the space!

Ok
The cabin was compact but worked for a short stay. Towels were stained with brown. Noise from state route. I thought the add said there would be a gas grill. Better than a hotel room.
We had a great stay in this cabin. It was the perfect getaway for the weekend!
