Soy una de esas personas a las que les gusta encontrar la paz cerca del agua. Si también lo eres, visita esta adorable cabaña que descansa junto al encantador río Sheep. Me gustó tanto visitar este lugar que quiero volver una y otra vez. ¡Es un bonito lugar! Esta gema está tan cerca de Calgary y Okotoks, que toma decisiones improvisadas para escapar de la realidad. Con belleza al aire libre, ofrece una medida perfecta de tranquilidad y serenidad para sentirse perdido en la naturaleza. A menos de una hora de Calgary, a 15 minutos de Okotoks y a 5 minutos de Turner Valley, es un escape fácil para darse un capricho. El horario de verano invita a sumergirse en los impresionantes pozos de natación y la noche trae risas y conversación en una lujosa bañera de hidromasaje. Enormes cubiertas, fogatas y céspedes masivos crean espacios para viviendas relajantes y revitalizantes. Las micro cervecerías, restaurantes y tiendas artesanales locales están a tiro de piedra. Si desea más senderismo y paisajes, ¡Kananaskis Country está cerca! La cabaña en sí está impecablemente limpia y tiene todas las comodidades necesarias. Gran dormitorio principal, salón, cocina y dos baños. ¡Desde el dormitorio principal puedes escuchar el río susurrar en la noche! La cabaña es pequeña y acogedora, tiene capacidad para 6 personas en el interior y tiene mucho más espacio para carpas, remolques y autocaravanas en el exterior. ¡Este escondite es muy recomendable para el próximo fin de semana de su niña, la familia se escapa, las parejas escapan o se retiran en grupo! ¡Echale un vistazo!

River Rock Stay

Area was beautiful, peaceful, quiet, very private. Cottage itself was cute, but we were expecting a little bit more space for the amount of people that stayed:) Also, the bathroom situation worked fine for a 2 night stay, but not ideal for a longer term stay with that many people. Overall, it was very cute & cozy to stay in. Fees were higher than we anticipated. 300/night sounds like a great deal at the outset, till it's booked and then the fees came, and it was more than we expected.

Couples Retreat

We had such a great visit at the River Rock Retreat! Ian and Jack warmly greeted us and told us the ins and outs of the place including good hiking suggestions and floating routes! We walked, we floated, enjoyed some R&R on the deck and in the hot tub! This spot is absolutely beautiful and we enjoyed every minute of it!! We will be back!!

Highly Recommend

The property is absolutely beautiful along the river and very quiet and private. Beds were super comfy and the kitchen was well stocked with supplies. Easy to find and only 5 minutes drive from all the main businesses in Turner Valley. Everyone in our group loved it and would definitely stay again. Both the host and caretaker were responsive and friendly. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area!

Great place and host!

Amazing property and host. I hope to visit again in the future! My only issue was the check-in/out process. It's clearly stated on the profile that there is no person-to-person contact, but I was greeted by the caretaker both when checking in and out. Though the caretaker is very polite and welcoming, it was not expected. Especially seeing them turn on the lights and walk out of the front door right as I was arriving. I appreciate the gesture, but it took away from my experience of feeling like I was alone at a riverside home in nature. The caretaker also lives within eyesight of most areas of the home (both inside & outside). I imagine this will be noticed less in the warmer seasons as the vegetation will create separation but in the colder months, it's very apparent. All of this said, I enjoyed my stay and will hope to visit again - just with different expectations. My goal with this review is to help others have realistic expectations.

Amazing Get Away - Quiet Relaxing Holidays!

The pictures of the property are excellent, but they still do not do it justice. The house located at the end of the road is quiet and very well maintained. Everything one could need is available. Donna and Ian ensured that we had everything one could want in order to have an excellent holiday! We can't wait to visit again!!!

Relaxed Humans and Smiling Dogs!

What a wonderful and chill end of summer vacation! Beautiful home, amazing deck (huge!), fun for the doggos (swimming, running, playing, freedom), and Jack the dog and Ian next door! We played games, rode bikes, chatted, cooked in a well equipped kitchen, visited Eau Claire Distillery and Bertie's Vintage in town (cool place!), and laughed ... a lot! We will return, maybe in the winter to experience the property at a different time of year ... as well as a hopeful return in the summer!

Simply Spectacular!!

This property is truly amazing! It is so beautiful and what it has to offer is breathtaking. During our stay, we unfortunately encountered severe weather not allowing us to explore as much as we had hoped too yet this quite honestly ended up on being one of our most memorable and relaxing getaway's ever! Donna the property owner is simply fabulous....she is the best, and is there instantly should you require something as is Ian the groundskeeper! Our whole experience left us feeling refreshed....renewed...and knowing that we will be making a visit out here once again very, very soon! Thank you Donna from the bottom of our hearts.

Amazing getaway

Me and my wife stayed hear for our anniversary and it was absolutely perfect the area was quiet and peaceful and still only minutes from town as well as having some very beautiful views outside it had so many added touches that made the place feel extremely welcoming with lots to offer. I would recommend this location to any one or any group. I will be booking this place again for sure. Thank you for your hospitality.

Perfect relaxing getaway

We stayed for two nights.. we should up late on the first day and it was already dark and had a little trouble finding the place and the property owner was more then willing to help us out… wish we would have gotten there earlier to enjoy the place more because it is truely one of a kind… I could spend a whole week there… very relaxing, quiet, beautiful views, great for exploring and fun with kids… we will be bringing our whole family there next year for a family getaway… we highly recommend this retreat…

Fabulous getaway

We booked this so we'd have a place to get away if it's full blown covid and travel was At a stop. Well thats exactly what got put on lockdown the day before we got here in September. But I am so glad we made it here, the fall colors are absolutely stunning, there's a lookout a little steep hike right on the property, it over looks the river and is so worth it! The cabin had all that you need and even if you don't want to cook there are really good restaurants in Turner Valley and Black diamond. The hot tub, fire pit, and walkout to the river make it so you really don't need to leave, I will be back for the summer to enjoy the river too! Donna is easy to get in contact with if need be, there is a groundskeeper next door who is there as much or as little as you'd like, and there are a couple of doggos who come to visit too 😊 It was such a good stay and I hope to be back soon.

Pleasant getaway

As soon as we arrived we immediately felt relaxed and impressed with the natural beauty of the property. The property is well maintained and clean. We loved the deck and the seating areas. It is close to the park and Tuner Valley so that was a bonus. It is a great place for winding down and for peace and quiet. Thank you Donna. Hope to visit again.

Great girls night

We had a great night at the cottage. They only down side was the water. The well water was low and we ran out of water a few times. So the rule was if it’s “yellow” let it mellow. The highlight for us was seeing the deer running around on the property.

Romantic Getaway

This little gem will surprise you. It is private, with amazing views and soothing sounds of the river was just what we needed to relax and Unwind. We were quite happy that we found this place. A little taste of paradise

We recently had a girls getaway at this property and loved every minute of it. It was extremely clean and decorated perfectly. Ian the caretaker was an absolute delight to get to know and we just can’t wait to come back. This place hands down deserves 5 stars!!
