A PERFECT place for a ROMANTIC escape in the heart of southwest Michigan. A modern cottage in a country setting. The bird feeder is kept full, the deer roam free, the creek runs year round, and the stars shine bright. Hygge atmosphere, like Winnie the Pooh says, “You don’t say it, you feel it.” You may even hear the coyotes howl.
Private but safe for the solo traveler as hosts are on property.

Creek Side Cottage is a destination spot to remember, a harbor or a haven, a stop or a station. She can be all.

Her wooded canopy will provide wildlife up close. The field across from the cottage may grace you with a new baby calf or you may see the Blue Heron walking down the creek. The sweep of deck or gazebo will allow for hours of outside lounging, games, and grilling.

Stop by our family owned store in 3-Rivers, and grab all you need to fix yourself a gourmet meal in our fully equipped kitchen. From steaks, to fresh brats, to smoked meat you should be able to find a favorite. Use the gas grill or for the true campers enjoy the camp fire.

Farm lane can be a mess with the spring rains, thawing and freezing, and the construction going on with the Grain Bin Inn.

April Getaway

Totally Awesome! Place was impressive, secluded and private. Exceeded expectations by a bunch. If I could give 6 stars, I would. This hideaway had everything to make our stay perfect. Dawn had us setup with fresh cinnamon rolls to enjoy from the get go. There is a fire pit , a gazebo with table , grill and trails to follow. The bird feeder was so entertaining from many different birds and the cutest chipmunks. We are hoping to return soon. A great getaway!

We have stayed in the Bungalow on two previous occasions

This was our 2yr anniversary of dating. On our 6M anniversary we stayed there for the first time. The hosts are so Friendly and have thought of everything when they furnished all three of there cottages. Class A Couple. I'm sure we will make time to come back again in the summer when we can spend more time exploring the property.

Perfect Little Getaway

This was possibly the nicest VRBO we have stayed in. The owner's attention to detail was top notch, the perfect home away from home. If you're wanting a quiet retreat, this is the perfect place. The only reason I did not give 5 stars for location is that it is a bit remote, so if you're looking for a lot of activities, it is definitely small town. For us, it was perfection. Loved the local restaurants and the location of Swiss Valley skiing. Be sure to check out The Friendly Bar & Grill and Wakey Jakes! We will definitely be coming back.

The cottage is lovely, immaculately clean, with so many thoughtful touches. The hosts have thought of everything their guests could possibly need, even leaving us delicious cinnamon rolls. We really enjoyed the location, nestled in a wooded area with a picturesque stream running beside the cottage. The only regret was the listing stated having a hot tub, which was incorrect. We stayed for my husband's 50th birthday, and a hot tub was his one request he asked me for when finding us a place to stay, so that was disappointing. However, the overall stay was wonderful and I would definitely recommend.

The property was incredible but what made it better was having such a great host. The hosts were great. From fresh, homemade cinnamon rolls and friendly waves from the tractor to making sure we were able to access the property safely and with special accommodation. A cozy quiet sanctuary!

Hubs and I stayed at Creekside Cottage the weekend of the Perseids Meteor Shower. What a delightful oasis off the beaten path! Quiet seclusion combined with picture perfect landscaping made us not want to leave. The stargazing at the cottage was wonderful and the proximity to Dr. Lawless Dark Sky Park made it the ideal location. Will definitely visit this little slice of Heaven again!

Fantastic Modern Cottage in farm country!

Incredibly relaxing and enjoyable stay. Even prettier in person than the pictures, small creek, easy trails, and bird feeders along with covered and screened-in gazabo just made it a wonderful visit. Peaceful cottage retreat

Perfect creek side retreat tucked away down a peaceful country lane. Property was exactly as advertised. Clean and comfortable. Dawn was very responsive and genuinely kind. Loved the screened in gazebo, hammock and trails right off the backyard. Also recommend the hike to Big Rock in the property binder. Will definitely come again!!!

Delightful quiet getaway

We had a terrific time at the cottage - found that it was even better than we could have hoped for the little getaway we needed. The hosts were very warm and helpful , and the cottage was well equipped and designed. There were a few bird feeders on the porch and the variety and numbers of visitors to them was amazing. We found the local area towns had everything we wanted the few times we went off the property. The location is quite serene and the amenities - the screen gazebo, fire pit , creek running along the side of the yard just perfect. We're already thinking of how soon we can get back : )

Perfect getaway

We can’t say enough wonderful things about our stay at Creekside Cottage. Everything was exactly as advertised- and then even better than expected. The secluded grounds were absolutely heavenly and provided the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway. The gazebo ended up being our favorite spot, both for enjoying morning coffee and the delicious dinners we were able to make during our stay. Definitely recommend checking out the local markets for produce and meats as well as cute home and gift items! We had no idea how much we would love watching the birds at the feeders but it was absolutely mesmerizing (especially the hummingbirds!) The cottage was cute, cozy and instantly welcoming …everything we needed and wanted in a vacation and a perfect respite. Dawn was so responsive and sweet, even leaving scrumptious cinnamon rolls at our arrival. We truly loved every minute of our time at the cottage and hope to be back again one day soon.

A beautiful hidden Gem

We were so pleasantly surprised by the beautiful setting of this property. Just so peaceful and serene. Wonderful accomodations. Super clean. Just WOW

Plain and simple? We fell in love with this place. It was absolutely perfect for the two of us for a four night stay. It was quiet and peaceful. We were on the Go the whole time we were there due to family commitments- but we want to come back so we can just be still and enjoy. The sound of the creek running is so peaceful and relaxing. The personal touches that the owner put on the cabin rental were so great. Subtle Christmas Decorations, cookies left out for us, coffee and creamer at the ready- it was all just FANTASTIC. You absolutely cannot go wrong if you choose to stay here. We will be back! -From Richmond, VA

We are originally from the heart of a Amish/Mennonite community in Indiana.
Moved to this beautiful state of Michigan some 20 years ago.

We love entertaining, taking long walks, cooking, baking, traveling, and spending time with our family.

We have years of experience running a Bed and Breakfast, a dairy, and owning and operating our own bakery and restaurant.

Last and definitely not least we have raised eleven very amazing children, all of whom are married and have amazing spouses. They have blessed us with 42 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Our lives are rich and we thank God for all the blessings we enjoy.

We would love to share our lives with you through this little slice of tranquility here at

What makes this property unique

If you really need a quiet place to get away from it all.
You will enjoy this cottage. You don't have to see anyone if you don't want
to. Such a good place to connect with nature and each other.
It's beautiful, but depending on the season you may experience mosquitoes, bugs, other creeping critters. You also may hear farm noises as this is a working farm.
All in all we try to keep it peaceful and quiet.
