River view and cozy stay

We were in town for several days for a family wedding. This space was a lovely retreat to return to at the end of busy days, and in easy reach of a variety of food options. The house was impeccable and had everything we could have need. The view of the bend in the river is especially dramatic.

Beautiful Collinsville Home

This beautiful home was perfect for our family of four. The views from the living room are amazing. We were so lucky to see such amazing fall colors. I enjoyed drinking my coffee on the patio. The girls enjoyed the games that the host had. Carol our host was very responsive and even reached out about a Squishmellow that had been left behind,

Thanksgiving in Collinsville

WONDERFUL cottage-like home in a perfect location....amazing river views, and plenty of walking trails abound. Being able to walk to the small, "New England" town center was a huge bonus, and the food/atmosphere in the local restaurants was excellent. We would certainly stay here again - thank you Carol, for being a fantastic host - the house was ready early, spotless, and again, had plenty to offer!

Amazing!

This house was perfect for our visit to central CT. Great views, easy access to Collinsville center for food and the rail trail for morning runs, and plenty of space for a family if 4. Carol was very attentive and even brought extra games over for our kids! Would definitely stay again.

Relaxing Getaway

Wonderful spot in quaint Collinsville where you can kayak, shop the farmer's market on Sunday, or walk the beautiful walking/biking trails. This is a home away from home. The owner, Carol, is helpful and available should you need assistance. I plan on a return visit next year.

Tastefully decorated and comfortable!

The house is immaculate and very tastefully decorated! The host was available for any question, although we had very few! The river view is spectacular, and will be even better with fall colors! The town of Collinsville is charming -- Don't miss the farmer's market on Sundays, and coffee at Lasalle! We loved our stay!

Exceeded expectations

We reserved this beautiful home for a girl’s getaway weekend and it was perfect. The house is very well appointed and super clean. I am particular about cleanliness and it exceeded my expectations. Our highlights were going kayaking, playing games around the game table, snacks and meals on the patio while enjoying the breeze and beautiful lake view, and shopping in town. Everything we needed was a short walk away; we didn’t get back in the car until check out. Wonderful getaway location!

Beautiful home in a quiet corner of CT

We had an extended stay here in the heart of the Fall season. The leaves were spectacular. There were lots of lovely spots to walk to in Collinsville and we enjoyed some of the other things that they wider region had to offer, as well. The house is spectacular. Beautifully open air with lots of wonderful windows overlooking the Farmington River. Several window seats which were perfect for sitting (& napping). The living room had a game table which was perfect for cards and board games. The beds were comfy. The kitchen was well appointed enough for our needs. The property manager was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. It was a delightful experience all around!

Collinsville cottage

We enjoyed our stay at Carol's home by the river. The home was clean and thoughtfully furnished for comfort. Collinsville is delightful. The only drawback for us was the noise from the road because we prefer open wiindows. Despite that we would still choose this home again if we are in the area.

Cute as a button

Great location, really cute cozy home. Weather was not cooperative but Carol’s home was well stocked with books and board games. A marathon Monopoly game while watching the rainfall was restful and relaxing. Unfortunately our stay was cut short but we hope to return!

Charming

We enjoyed our stay at this house—we were only there briefly, but took a lovely walk along the river and grabbed a couple good meals from the host’s recommended restaurants. Carol was very responsive when we had a last minute problem with our schedule. The house was perfectly clean, well-stocked, and charming. We would rent it again if we were back in the area. All in all, a very nice stay!

Simply Charming!

My husband and I rented this house for 10 days while we were having some renovations done to our home. I was concerned that staying anywhere for 10 days was going to be too long...but in reality, I am sad to be leaving! It has all of the charm and character of an old home, but updated, decorated beautifully, and exceptionally clean! The kitchen is fully equipped, beautiful patio with umbrella table and grill. We loved having our morning coffee and evening dinners on the patio, overlooking the Farmington River. Carol is a wonderful, attentive host. This home is a gem!

Comfortable, beautiful and cozy home with great host

We spent a beautiful fall weekend in Collinsville at Carol’s cozy home. Furniture and beds are comfortable, check in and out are very easy and the view is amazing. We hiked and went into the town for dinner and made several meals in the cozy kitchen. Our U CONN daughter had a wonderful nap on their comfy couch and we spent mornings by the window looking at the river and sipping coffee. We played games in the evening and went into town for ice cream. Relaxing and friendly, Carol made everything easy for us. The surrounding area has plenty to do and see to witness the Connecticut charm. Don’t think twice - book with Carol before someone else does!

A lovely home in a stunning location

We spent a relaxing three days in this lovely home on the Farmington River. The view of the river from the living room is stunning and we often had trouble tearing ourselves away. We particularly enjoyed watching the kayaking classes and water birds during the day and the changing light as the sun set in the evening. One can easily walk from down from the house to a path along the river, and from there one can enjoy a long, beautiful walk in either direction. It’s a short walk into Collinsville, which is a pretty and lively small town. The house itself couldn’t be nicer. It was recently renovated, and is extremely comfortable while retaining all its original charm. Everything was well laid out and was exceptionally clean. Carol was a very responsive host and made us feel very welcome. We hope to return!
