The house is arranged in such a nice way to allow for family time together as well as spots to retreat to at times where there might be a little too much family. The beach is right outside inviting a morning swim as well as an afternoon dip.
The kitchen is very well equipped with top rate pots and pans, plenty of dishes, utensils and cooking tools. Plenty of barbecuing tools too.
There are towels galore, so you won't be wanting for anything during your stay.
We look forward to returning.
This lovely house is right on a private beach with sand that is softer than is often found on the North Fork. Being right on the beach makes the house so much cooler. There are plenty of beach chairs and an inflatable kayak to paddle around with on a calm day.
With plenty of beach and bath towels supplied, you don't need to lug these from home. The house is very thoughtfully laid-out with a nice flow from kitchen to dining room to living room to sun room. The bedrooms are comfortable. Two bedrooms and a sitting room are upstairs which provided privacy for our daughter, son-in-law and grandson when they visited for a few days.
The kitchen has lots of counter space for food prep, and is very well-stocked with high-quality Tramontina pots and pans, Henckels knives, and almost any kitchen tool you can think of. Barbecue tools for the gas grill are also provided.
This is our second summer in the house, and we intend to go back next year. What could be more of a recommendation than that?
Thank you so much to Erin and Dan for two amazing weeks at their house. The house and location were perfect. Private beach was incredible and it was all so easy and comfortable. It was the most relaxing time and close enough to enjoy spots in Greenport, Southhold and Mattituck. I will come back for sure!
The property is lovely, sitting right on a private beach which is sandier -- less pebbly -- than other North Fork beaches. We enjoyed walking barefoot without the protection of the aquasocks we needed in other places.
The house is wonderful too, nicely decorated in the soothing pastels and whites appropriate to a beach house. The bath towels are thick and soft, and beach towels aplenty too. The kitchen is marvelously outfitted with quality items thoughtfully selected for real cooking: a large set of kitchen knives, even including a serrated bread knife, silicone kitchen mitts, a vegetable pan for the grill, the list goes on and on. The Wi-Fi is good and handled the many devices we used with no problem. Our son-in-law was surprised and delighted to be able to introduce our grandson to the joys of Mario Kart.
Erin was quick in responding to any question I had. This is a top-notch place to have a peaceful summer vacation on Long Island's North Fork.
Gorgeous house on a gorgeous stretch of beach. Our family of two adults and two kids had more than enough room to spread out and enjoy this wonderful house. The living room looking out to the water is soaked in sunlight on a nice day, and the sunset views from both floors are to die for. Kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, utensils, glasses, etc., and the house also had ample cleaning supplies. Sheets and towels were all soft and clean. Owner communicated clearly about checkin and checkout. Easy drive to town. Really loved this rental and would recommend to one large family or even two smaller families.
A beautiful house, well equipped with everything needed for a great beach vacation. The owners were very friendly, helpful and quick to respond. Thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks!
