We stayed for four nights as our daughter is at Exeter University and had a reading week. We were able to have some great days visiting the area and have a chilled out and relaxed time. Property was very nice in a great location and handy to get around.
Would recommend to similar people or to anyone wanting to explore South Devon.
Great Stay!
The property was very nice and as good as expected.Well equipped bar a dodgy can opener and a rather difficult ceramic hob for someone who has never used one. Peaceful location, close to a local pub and the only downside a barking dog early in the morning. The hostess responded immediately to any problems.
We were really surprised at how lovely the barn conversion was. Although it is a little off the beaten track it is ideal for exploring the area so close to all the busy commute roads,
It is so quiet in the countryside you can really chill. Would definitely recommend to others and hope to visit again

Had a wonderful stay in this lovely property, was an ideal base for us to explore Devon , would recommend this place to anyone .
This was a lovely property with all amenities. Although it was very rural , Exeter was 15 mins away. I would definitely recommend this property to others.
The property was very well kept with all you need, spacious and in a lovely rural setting. The owners were very helpful and welcoming. We would recommend it 100%
The barn conversion is very nicely done with lovely features and is well equipped. Also it is in a very picturesque location, with easy access to Exeter, moors and beaches.
The cottage is lovely. It is clean, very comfortable and a lovely place to relax. They were very accommodating for our little one too - travel cot, high chair etc.
This is our second time staying. It is a lovely cottage in excellent location, you are deep in the countryside but also very close to the city of Exeter so the best of both Worlds. No negatives, all good. My only criticism (not really) is that there were 2 lovely sheep soft toys at the property, and my 3 year old son took a liking to them and decided that they were coming home with us. I lost count of the amount of times that we had to dig the sheep out of his suitcase... He was determined to have them, but he didn't succeed at the end, we checked! Now more seriously, thanks for everything, lovely stay.
We needed a base for a university graduation in Exeter and this cottage was perfect for us. The cottage is well positioned for exploring that part of Devon and Dartmoor. Clean, comfy and nice outside space shared with the owners cottage.
This is a lovely place and in a great location. Charming, beautifully decorated, peaceful setting, comfy bed, all the amenities you would need. Good communication, easy to check in and we appreciated that Christine came to welcome us.
Had a lovely few days staying in a beautiful location. Well equipped, clean and cosy cottage. Fingle Glen golf course only minutes away. Close to Exeter, Dartmoor and other fabulous places to visit. Very friendly and helpful host.
Home from home stay in this lovely property with helpful and relaxed owners. It is very well equipped and very comfortable - wifi, hot water, shower, digital TV, beds, all excellent. Beautiful setting in the rolling Devon hills with easy access to towns and Exeter itself. Perfect stay.

About the host
Hosted by Shaun & Christine Conner
We moved to Devon with our young family in 2006. We both run our own businesses from home and enjoy a rare quality of life with our sons in this beautiful rural location. We spend our summers fishing and surfing and our winters on various rugby pitches and enjoying some of the beautiful local walks with our dogs. We look forward to sharing it with you.
Why they chose this property
This is the ideal location for a family holiday taking in both city and countryside. You are surrounded by Devon's iconic rolling green hills but close to the city of Exeter for shopping and cinema so theres something to do every day whatever the weather. Cornwall is an hour away with its golden beaches, surfing and tourist destinations including Rock, Padstow and locations from Rosamund Pilcher, Poldark and Doc Martin. Organic local produce is widely available and fresh fish is available at our local farm shops. Local pubs cater for all tastes and provide a warm welcome.
What makes this property unique
We love the house and the gardens and we enjoy panoramic views and an outdoor lifestyle. Devon is an ideal place to bring up a family and the house is not only a home, but a hub for our extended family and our "office space"when working from home. We are within 15 minutes of Exeter station providing a high speed rail link to London (2 1/2 hours) and Plymouth's continental ferry link is only an hour away.
