Conveniently located, within 2.5 hours of Rochester, Minneapolis and La Crosse and 40 minutes north of Eau Claire, this adorable lakefront cabin provides a relaxing getaway with minimum travel time. Whether traveling in the summer, fall or winter, our location provides accommodations for any trip and boasts beautiful views year round. With an abundance of outdoor and indoor activities, there are plenty of things for guests to enjoy throughout their stay.
Winter is a magical time at Salisbury Lake Retreat. Whether you are looking for a weekend away baking with friends, ice fishing, snowmobiling or a relaxing place to take in the beauty of the frozen lake and snow-covered landscape, Salisbury Lake Retreat is sure to meet your expectations.
In the summer, our included amenities will keep your family entertained all day. A nice dock, two kayaks, a rowboat, a paddleboat, and 6’x18’ Aqua Lily Pad allows you time on the water with the convenience of not having to leave the property. *Pontoon is available upon request for an additional fee. Please send owner a message regarding the pontoon.
In the fall, take advantage of the ATV trails and enjoy day long adventure through Blue Diamond Recreation Area.

Winter get away

The house/cabin was amazing. The atmosphere around the lake was beautiful in the winter. I would love to see it in the summertime as well.

Family vacation

It was a wonderful time. The fishing was great. Adults and kids had alot of fun! Cabin is nice, big and cozy! Cabin and yard were very clean, and well kept. We would recommend.

Family Vacation

This property was perfect for our family vacation! There was plenty of fun to be had for all ages. The cabin was stocked with everything to make our stay comfortable, the pontoon worked great, and the lake/beach area was wonderful entertainment for our small grandchildren. We would recommend this property 100%!

Wonderful stay!

This was our second year in a row staying at this property and loved it once again. The inside offered spaces, comfortable sleeping and lounging, and all the things we needed. Outside offered so many options for fun for all ages! We had a blast!

Great Family Vacation Spot

We had 6 adults and 5 kids & we enjoyed every part of this property! All the lake toys were a great time, super nice patio furniture, a nice fire pit, and the house was stocked with the household essentials! We will definitely be back!

Beautiful Lake House

Beautiful property. Enjoyed the fire pit, lake, pontoon boat. Kitchen was well equipped. Plenty of room for 8 adults and toddler. Nice location to hiking trails, ATV trails and bar restaurants. Very peaceful! Enjoyed the ski show in Chetek and Leinenkugel Brewery tour in Chippewa Falls!

Great Cabin

This cabin was perfect for our family. Great location, cleanly, clean/clear lake water, great bass and crappie fishing. We went swimming everyday and caught multiple bass everyday. It's a very small lake, 80 acres, but beautiful and quiet. The cabin had everything we needed. Neighbors were a little loud, but nothing you can do about that...

Yearly Trip

This was our fourth stay at Salisbury Lake and love it more each year. The house is clean and well stocked. Communication is easy. The location is perfect for our families to meet. We're already booked for 2025 and can't wait to enjoy this beautiful, relaxing area. Thanks!

Cousin's weekend

We booked this lovely cabin for a cousin reunion and it was perfect. From the cute and rustic decor to the clean and comfortable furnishings. We would definitely recommend this vrbo and hope to be back!

Family fun

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Salisbury Retreat. Setup worked for our family of 8 but sleeps 11-12. Beds were comfortable and basement bedrooms have windows. Amenities like toilet paper, towels (LOTS) and laundry soap were greatly appreciated. We had no issues with equipment both inside and outside the house. Communication was easy and FAST with all questions answered immediately. I would recommend this place for a summer retreat.

Friends vacation

We had a great time! This property was perfect for 12 of us between the ages of 20-25 to fit comfortably. We loved being on the lake, and having access to the pontoon. Definitely recommend this property for your next vacation!

Loved the house and lake

Clean, orderly as described. Peaceful lake. The kids loved the Lilly pad and the sandy beach. Everyone caught some bass when out fishing. All in all the family liked the house, location, amenities and the lake.

Winter Wonderland Retreat

My family and I had a wonderful time at the Salisbury lake retreat! Check in was simple, quick responses from the property managers, everything we needed was provided in the home. Such a beautiful view with the big windows we hope to make it back sometime in the summer. The house had plenty of beds to hold our whole group which we really appreciated. We truly loved out stay and would definitely be back!

Amazing second year vacation at this amazing cabin!

This cabin is perfect! We love the short distance to the lake from the cabin where we can be seated at the picnic table and watch the kids enjoying the water. The lake was clean. The kayaks, paddle boards and and paddle boat were great! Communication with the owners with any questions or concerns was excellent. We highly recommend this place and have already booked for next year!!!

Perfect Place

Great memories were made with four generations together for a week. There was more than enough space for the eight adults and five children. The owners thought of everything; baby gate, booster seat, games, extra clothing hooks in the bedrooms, luggage racks. Having everything we needed including direct lake access with sandy beach for swimming allowed us to spend quality time without the hassle of packing up and going to the beach. Highly recommend if you are looking for a low key relaxing getaway!

Third Year!!

This is the third year we've stayed at Salisbury Lake & love it even more. Recent updates include new siding and windows, new paint inside & the addition of a paddleboard. The weather was beautiful & Salisbury Lake was the busiest we've seen it but mostly with kayaks & paddleboarders. The cabin is fully stocked with easy checkin & checkout. Our family loves this cabin & are already booked for next year. Thanks for sharing this beautiful property.

Very good overall. Clean and well appointed cabin. Re pontoon boat -- live well was not working. Also boat key was missing upon check-in but Nick was available to assist.

Great place

We really enjoyed our stay at this nice VRBO with extended family for a long wedding weekend. Very clean and quiet, nice location. Kitchen well supplied. Great to have both upstairs and downstairs family rooms. Lots of linens. Accommodated a little later check out. Our only wish is they would supply better pillows. They are in serious need of replacement. Thanks for everything!

Great for families with small children

The house was beautiful and everything was family friendly. The lily pad was lots of fun and our grandchildren had lots of fun catching little fish with either a pole or just with a net. The house definitely allowed everyone to have their own space as well. We were there on a ridiculously hot week and tried to close blinds to cool inside. While in the loft closing the blinds they fell off. Son in law tried a temporary fix. Just so you’re aware we did not break them. Umbrella on wooden table has a broken support arm. We discovered it the first day while cranking up umbrella. Again, son in law did a temporary fix. Inside the arm are wooden bamboo sticks. Again, not us. While in the loft with my daughter and 2 grandchildren age’s 2&3 we were sitting on the floor playing with them. They opened the tv stand and saw on the little doors vhs shelves which to them appeared as seats and we quickly told them to get off but it was too late. The tv fell off the stand narrowly missing the 2 yr olds head but did bruise her back and back of her leg. This sounds as though we weren’t watching them but it happened in the blink of an eye, We were surprised the tv was the the older box tv and incredibly heavy. It was put back on the stand and pushed back as far as possible into the corner. We were 1 1/2 hrs ahead of schedule to check out, all loaded up when we discovered one truck had a flat tire. All in all we had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend this house for family vacations. We left a huge inflatable ball in the shed. Hopefully others enjoy it as well. Thank you again!
