About this property

Cottage offers you an escape holiday from media with no TV reception or wifi. However, there is mobile data reception. Instead your indoor entertainment is a selection of movies, music and board games.

All linen supplied.

Property is on a small gated property with native trees. Has an outdoor covered deck to enjoy alfresco dining and relaxing. Drive has room to park boat and car, however, entrance may struggle with a large wide boat.

Note: 2nd Bedroom is a Sleepout which is near the backdoor. It has 2 single beds that can be made into a King bed for a couple. Not suitable for preschoolers unless you have a child monitor.

South Bay is a popular holiday destination and many enjoy the fishing and crayfish opportunities and bird and marine wildlife. Famous coastal Peninsula walkway starts at the nearby domain.
There is a walk over the hill to the township of Kaikoura where there are cafe's, restaurants and shops, and a farmers market is held most weekends. There is a children's playground within 5 mins walk. You can swim at the beach front to the right of property, 10 mins walk.

Slecht onderhouden cottage. Absoluut niet 'cozy'.Achter het huisje, en dus ook in slaapkamer achter was een zware diesel/benzinegeur te ruiken.

Charming, cozy bach

Incredible location at South Bay. We loved the walks to Kaikoura, the dolphin swim experience then coming back to super comfy beds. Thanks for the hospitality! Deb and Richard

Bach on the beach

Had a lovely time in this cute litte place, loved the proximity to the beach and the amazing weather. The owners were super responsive and had a leak we found in the kitchen fixed right away! Would definitely stay here again, it was such a nice retreat!

Cute, simple classic kiwi bach

The bach is tiny and basic but very well set up, we enjoyed the cd's and dvds and had a ball playing the table soccer and roasting marshmallows on the fire. Kitchen well stocked. Clean and neat as a pin. The sleepout has nice mountain views. The front area gets the last afternoon sun so nice to be outside in the early evenings. The road has a lot of traffic noise during the day as boat trailers and buses go past to the marina, but thankfully this dies down at night so it does not matter if your out and about during the day. Did the loop walk around cliffs and beaches which is 3 hours but was wonderful for seal viewing and goes right past the house. Thanks very much for the stay!
