Experience incredible new updates paired with the old charm of this historical house. The interior features new floors, paint, updated kitchen, brand new mattresses, bed frames, bedding, and furniture throughout. The outdoor area features a brand new heated pool, with an automatic cover and gate around the pool for extra safety if you are traveling with young ones. A remote start gas fire pit with enough seating for everyone to enjoy S'mores, an outdoor kitchen to do all your grilling, a pool house with a bathroom, 8 person spa, and a grassy area for the kids to run and play!! One of the only houses that has a private pool AND is within walking distance to North Beach!!! Walk to town if you choose or never leave the house because you have everything you would need for a luxury vacation!


Welcome to the Arundel House! One of South Haven's many historic buildings, Arundel features the whimsical charm you would expect from a historic home with an updated and modern beach style.

Decks galore give you plenty of room to enjoy the summer air, the breathtaking sunsets, or boats passing on the river from the back decks.

A large, open kitchen and spacious dining room ensures plentiful room for daily meals, games, and entertaining.

7 bedrooms on the main levels, 5 bathrooms, and 2 sitting areas across 3 spacious levels make this home a perfect getaway for any time of year! A brand new finished basement with a game room and tv area for those rainy days! A quick walk to the beach a block away, a short walk to downtown, a bakery right down the street, a park around the corner, this house has it all!

We do not rent to young adults looking to have a party house. Our house is available to responsible and respectful families who will treat our home like it is their own. Absolutely no events, parties, or outside guests.

Amazing Property!

This property is truly amazing from inside out. The house had more than enough room for our family of 14 adults and 2 littles - everything well taken care of and clean. They really do a tremendous job with this property. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. The outdoor area is phenomenal with the pool, fire pit, kitchen, grill, Blackstone, plenty of seating and a yard area for outdoor games. Beach, town, restaurants and shops are all within walking distance; although, we did also rent golf carts to explore the town for fun. Things you do not need to pack: beach towels and pool towels (saves a lot of packing space)!

Fantastic house

Can't say enough about how great this house is. Totally clean, totally comfortable, tons of pool and beach toys (and a wagon to transport them) and towels. Two refrigerators in the house and two sets of washers/dryers made it convenient for a large group. The outdoor area is amazing. Everything was beautiful. There was a bin full of magnatiles that kept my toddler occupied for days. The property manager was very responsive to any questions I had. The location was phenominal - close to the beach, walkable to downtown South Haven (a little less than a mile, depending on where you're heading) but we also sometimes drove downtown and never had a problem finding parking. A few tiny suggestions for improvement - include some throw blankets around the living areas; a lighter weight blanket for the beds would be nice too since the duvet is a bit hot for summertime; and the door to the master bedroom on the 2nd floor sticks badly so opening/closing it is very loud which disturbs the other person still sleeping. But these are very tiny criticisms, and we'd definitely stay here again. Thanks!

2024 Family Trip

This was our third time in this magnificent home. It is, without a doubt, the most beautiful, incredibly equipped, and perfectly situated home we've ever stayed in while in South Haven. The lovely manager met us when we arrived and oriented us to all the incredible amenities, and they have more than thought of everything you could possibly need. Young and old took advantage of the pool, hot tub, firepit, and game room. We had daily breakfasts from the blackstone on the deck and many dinners on the patio utilizing the outdoor kitchen We were so close to the beach we could make multiple trips a day. The charming town of South Haven was a very short and picturesque walk. Our absolute favorite place to go with our family of sixteen.

Awesome Arundel Manor!

This is our 3rd time staying in this absolutely beautiful house. You can't beat the location - beach across the street, marina around the corner, and town a short walk away. The host and property manager communicate extremely well and are always so accommodating. The house is equipped with everything you need and very up to date. Extremely clean. There are so many activities to do onsite too - huge heated pool, basement full of activities, balconies for relaxing, fire pit, spacious backyard, etc. 20 out of 10 stars!!!

The best group property in South Haven

Laurie's property is a luxury stay, a few steps away from the beach and Sherman's ice cream. Heated pool, beautiful patio/firepit, gorgeous decor, chef's kitchen. I could go on and on. Everything is always clean and beautiful. Laurie's house manager is all over it. Highly recommend.

This property was perfect for our family’s annual gathering. We had plenty of room for our group of 15. The eight kids, ages 9-20, were kept entertained with the game room, pool, and other outdoor space. The location couldn’t be better. North Beach was a couple minutes walk, and the town about 20 minutes. It’s not easy to find a property that can accommodate a large group, has a pool, is in a great location, and to top it off, is a beautiful home. We hope to return next summer.

Family Vacation

Amazing sums it up!! Beautiful place, a very short walk to the beach. Backyard area is awesome as they have a gas fire pit area, plenty of table seating, a grassy area for games which was also perfect for little ones. A wonderful pool & hot tub. Everything that you would ever need, including beach supplies is in the house!

Best House in South Haven

This is most definitely the best house in South Haven. The renovations and additions--pool, outdoor kitchen, bathhouse, game room--are so well-thought out and well-designed. We basically lived outside. And by we, I mean 6 families with kids ranging from 2-18--descended on Laurie's house from across the east coast and midwest. We actually stayed at the same house 10 years ago when it had a different owner. Laurie has made the house a million times better. The trip was amazing and when a cold snap robbed us of some Lake Michigan time, no one even noticed as we just all ended up in the heated pool and enjoyed cool nights by the fire pit. Laurie and her house manager Collin were super responsive although we needed to communicate only once because the house is in such great condition--everything worked and was clean. Plenty of towels to go around, beach toys (and carts!) pool floats, and a well-stocked kitchen utensils-wise. Only thing we could have used beyond what was there was an extra dishwasher as that thing was always full and running. We are already discussing when we can return!

House WAY better than advertised!

Our family of 6 adults and 5 children loved our stay at this beautiful house and the town of South Haven Michigan! Can't say enough about how much better this house and property is than portrayed in the photos shown! Our grandchildren loved the beach, the pool and the game room! Everything worked perfectly, as described! Owner Laurie was great, as was Colin, the property manager! We certainly hope to be back!!!

OUTSTANDING RENTAL

Top-notch rental home. It truly is stocked with everything a large group would need. The premier host is informative and extremely friendly. The property manager responds quickly to questions and readily available if a need arises. Absolutely beautiful inside and out. So many fun things to do. Highly, highly recommend!

Hard to top property

Being walking distance to the both the beach, town, and bakery was convenient. A private pool with all the amenities was fabulous. River and lake views added to the lovely landscaping, front porch, and decks. The game room was entertaining. This property was beautifully decorated as well as clean. The kitchen was very well-equipped. We had a wonderful family vacation here-loved it!

This property is fantastic for large groups! It's truly inside/outside living. The house is right in the middle of everything....downtown, beach, harbor! Laurie is a fantastic host and goes above and beyond to help ensure a great stay! This is our second stay now and we love it!!

An Incredible Property with an Incredible Host

We've stayed at a number of VRBO properties around the country, but when we decided to have a family get-together for the kids and grandkids this house was an easy choice. As good as it looked on the website, it was even more spectacular in person. Laurie was a great communicator throughout the process, from the time we booked the property over a year ago right up to and through the rental. The house itself had everything (and then some) that you could ask for: a great outdoor space, plenty of very comfortable and well-maintained bedrooms and baths, and of course a wonderful game room for the one rainy day we had. If I could give 10 stars to Laurie and the property, I would.

Should Be Called South "Heaven"

OUTSTANDING from communication with owner to assistance from property manager. The house gets a rating of 10++ - great pool area, excellent outdoor amenities and seating all around the house, fully stocked kitchen, extremely clean, great location to beach and downtown, fun activities in the basement, lots of beach items available, comfortable beds, plenty of parking, Blackstone and grill available ... and I could go on and on. We've been renting for 10 years and by far the best place!

Family Getaway

I can't say enough great things about this property. They did a amazing job with the renovation and paid attention to the smallest details. This is the ideal location to walk to town or the beach. And if wanting to lay low, the outdoor space is perfect! To top it off, Laurie is a fantastic host and super responsive. We enjoyed our time so much we've already re-booked for '22. Thanks Laurie - looking forward to our time next summer!

AMAZING STAY!!!!

My family and I rent a home for our family of 15-20 every year for the past 7 years. We always leave very happy with our home selection, but this was by far the best rental to date! The home is beautiful. Amenities were terrific. House was immaculately clean. Location is perfect. Owner was great and the property manager was extremely hospitable. Everything felt like a five star stay for all of us. This is definitely the place for anyone looking for a great and memorable experience. Our family created memories for life because of our stay at this fantastic place!

Family reunion

Well appointed property especially for large gatherings. Felt safe and the home was reasonably quiet for the large group. Need to be healthy and strong to master the stairs. Suggest installing a hand rail by driveway steps as it’s not safe. I also recommend single grab bars in showers. The two refrigerators could not keep up with the ice needed so we had to supplement. Kitchen refrigerator much slower in ice making and very narrow cold storage. Garbage disposal very loud. Maintenance supervisor very attendant. Sink outside at pool not hooked up. Nice landscaping lighting. Not being from MI I found the recycle program cumbersome and confusing. If you expect your guests to sort make it easier, we had to provide post it notes and oversight daily. Deck off kitchen could use an umbrella or sun shield. Front porch was wonderful and the games & activities were a nice touch. South Haven chamber should work with rental community to get on the same page. We were surprised at the lack of restaurants open, available and committed to service. During high season visitors expect restaurants to be open. Since the bakery down the street is such a treat you should include it’s hours of operation as Thursday - Monday, 7:30 - 12:30 is unique.

Very easy process. Owner was very quick in responding to questions House was ideal location. Outdoor space was fabulous and my grandchildren loved the arcade room. Easy walk to beach.

Wonderful House for Family Vacation

I can't say enough wonderful things about our stay - Beautiful house and amazing location! Laurie (the owner) has thought of everything!!! The upscale home with high end finishes, was also great for families equipped with high chairs, pack n' plays, bunkbeds and baby gates on the stairs. Luckily the weather held out and we were able to enjoy the beautiful heated pool, hot tub, and several outdoor entertaining areas. As for the rainy days - a basement full of arcade games! North beach is just a block away. I recommend the short walk each night for the sunset or enjoy from the top balcony. Everything from booking, to check in and check out was seamless and Laurie was very easy to get a hold of for questions. Thank you Laurie! Can't wait to go back!

Extended Family Vacation

The property is perfect for grandparents to grandchildren. Heated pool is wonderful, as well as the hot tub. Wonderful outdoor kitchen and plenty of seating all around, inside and out. Enjoyed the gathering area in the kitchen. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, as well as 2 laundry rooms and refrigerators. Don’t think I have ever stayed at such a well stocked house. Plenty of kitchen supplies as well as beach towels. Beach is a short walk away. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic large party house in South Haven, MI

Laurie our host and her husband had completed renovations to the property before we arrived. The pictures do not do it justice. Everything was clean, updated. Heated pool, beautiful fire pit and outdoor dining area for large families (15ish). Pool bathhouse and 2 outdoor showers made beach/pool time so easy. Inside had gorgeous new finishes, beautiful kitchen and gathering areas. Multiple patios and decks on every level and a huge game room for the kids downstairs to boot. Highly recommend. Host was incredibly responsive and sweet!

We fell in love with South Haven many years ago and even more so with the Arundel House! We live in Chicago and knew this would be the perfect vacation home when we wanted to get out of the city. We just closed on the house in July 2020 and have already made some fantastic updates.
