We are located directly across the street from the Torch Lake Sandbar!

Recently remodeled! This quaint two bedroom one bath duplex style home is located on the beautiful Torch Bayou. It is across the street from the Torch Lake Sandbar. With the pullout couch this apartment sleeps six people. If you are a larger group we recommend renting out both units. Two cars are allowed per unit. Trailer parking is available offsite.

This is a weekly rental from mid June-August that rents from Friday to Friday. Outside of these months shorter rentals are allowed. Due to the way 4th of July falls for 2025, June 26th - July 3rd will be a 6 day rental and July 3rd-11th will be an 8 day rental.

We recommend taking your boat to enjoy the gorgeous Torch water. We do have a rental pontoon and tritoon on the property so feel free to inquire about rates and dates for that also!

We do not allow pets, smoking, fireworks, or outdoor fire-pits. Please note there are outdoor surveillance cameras for your added security.

The rentals are in walking distance of ice cream, pizza, a restaurant, and liquor store. The rentals are 5 minutes drive from Alden, 15 minutes away from Elk Rapids, and 35 minute away from Traverse City. This area has attractions for everyone. Wine tasting, breweries, golfing, hiking, shopping, paddle boarding, jet skiing, and boating are just a few attractions.

The boat house is accessed by boat renters and homeowners. The upper deck on top of the rentals are included however the rooftop on top of the boat house is not included in the rental.

Great place and location!

My husband, son, and I thoroughly loved our stay! The home was clean and contained everything you could ever need. We loved the convenience of the covered boat house. The top deck/fire place was very relaxing. We highly recommend this location and look forward to retiring g!

The property was so cute & had a really nice host! The kids loved visiting the beach area across the street as well as kayaking on the river. Well worth the 5 hour drive! We will absolutely book again in the future.

Annual Torch Lake Trip

Absolutely had an amazing time! The location was perfect and the cottage was absolutely adorable. My husband had rented this place years ago from the old owners and the renovation is amazing!

Friends Getaway

Had a great 3 night stay with friends. The house is updated and clean. The rooftop is super cute and kayaks were available to use. Communicating with the host about renting a boat was easy! Glad we picked this place to stay!

Perfect Getaway

House and location were perfect for our family. Public access was directly across the street and is where we spent a lot of our time. Provided kayaks were a huge hit. Hosts were great! Lots to do in the area. Lake was clean and beautiful!

Wonderful Little Getaway

Loved our stay! The location was excellent, literally steps from a public access beach and the house was cozy and had everything we needed. It was perfect for our family of three (2 adults and a 4 year old). Only suggestion I have for other guests would be to back into your parking spots to make it easier to get out. Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect little spot

We loved everything about our stay! The unit was perfectly clean, newly updated, stocked with everything you need and we loved having the boat slip garage. Weather didn’t work out for us but we made the best of it. We definitely plan on coming back in the future!

Great location, beautiful house!

We stayed here for our 20th anniversary. The house is very nice, clean, and updated. The boathouse was so cute and the convenience of having our boat right at the house was awesome. The owners also have a boat available to rent if needed. The upper deck area is very nice and great place to grill, have drinks, and enjoy great views and people watching. The owners have done a great job with this and we will definitely be back!

Fantastic as advertised

The owners are fantastic people. Very helpful and courteous. Perfect location to visit the beauty of Torch Lake. Kayaks are free and a must to truly appreciate the lake. The area is filled with helpful friendly people. Lots of places to eat all in short distance to where you're staying. Lots of gluten-free options for those of you with celiac. If you're visiting this area I could not recommend anything more charming and well kept.

Lots of Amenities

This was our first stay using VRBO and on Torch Lake. It was a great experience. There were many amenities available for our stay. Public access to the water was just across the street too. Overall we were thrilled at the cleanliness and the communication from the property manager. We will be returning in the future!

Must Stay

Since we travel a lot we get to stay all over. This was a fantastic experience. Booking was easy and excellent communication from the host. Check-in instructions were clear and made the process easy. Beautiful accommodations with lots of little details that made the stay feel thoughtful and very welcoming. Loved the location! On the other side of the road is Torch Lake and the Sandbar is right here. The backside is on the river side. We enjoyed our time and will definitely be back!!

Perfect Torch Lake Lodging

You'd be hard pressed to find better lodging for a Torch Lake vacation. Across the street is a little/park beach where you can get a nice view of the lake, play in the water or even walk out to the sandbar. Next to the property is a public launch you can use to launch the provided kayaks to explore in the back canal. As many others have mentioned, the top deck is fantastic for hanging out, grilling, eating, drinking or just enjoying the fire. The owners promised further upgrades in the interior but it was perfectly fine as is. You can tell they care about their property and the experience they are providing with the well-equipped kitchen and decorative touches including indoor plants. But the biggest draw for me was the included covered boat slip. It's in a very calm bay so you don't have to worry about the heavy waves that sometimes come to Torch Lake and there's no need to cover the boat. We rented both apartments for 6 people. 6 people in one would be very crowded. I'd probably only attempt that with young kids. We lucked out with the weather. Got a little rain/overcast for two days but had warm, sunny weather five days. Lots of memories were made.

Great Place to Stay!

We loved our stay at the Upper Deck. We had a larger group and rented both sides. The addition of the upper deck adds an amazing amount of space to hang out. The location is perfect - especially for those with a boat. The boat garage is 2 steps behind the cottage! We will definitely be coming back!
