Beautiful and serene!
The home is beautiful and cozy with a beautiful view of the ocean. Host was responsive and it was a lovely stay! No complaints but one suggestion is to put coverings on the bedroom door to feel more secure. We taped wrapping paper to the window.

Cupcake by the beach was a beautiful home with an amazing view, and smelled fresh and clean when you walked in! We made a big breakfast and grilled dinner for a family of 10, the kitchen had everything we needed & more. Our host was very helpful

Nice weekend getaway. Everything was perfect! Did have a storm second night and no electricity for 8 hours but the terror and beauty of Mother Nature is always a worthwhile experience!

Great property with everything you could need! Hosts were so helpful and easy to contact. We loved being an easy ferry ride from all the hype of Galveston, but have this quaint home to come back to! The beach was fantastic and views lovely. Quiet neighbors and everything you need on the island too, just not the traffic. We hope to come back!

A Serene Getaway at the Charming Cupcake.
My recent stay at Cupcake was nothing short of delightful. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality, and the idyllic setting made it the perfect retreat for a peaceful and rejuvenating getaway. Cupcake boasted spectacular views from the balcony, which were truly breathtaking. Overlooking the ocean, we were able to take in the magnificent surroundings while enjoying the fresh, salty air. The spacious rooms further added to our sense of comfort and relaxation, providing ample space to unwind after a day of exploring the picturesque neighborhood. Speaking of the neighborhood, it was remarkably quiet, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the serene environment. The soothing sound of the ocean roaring during a storm was a unique experience that added to the ambiance of our stay. We were even able to drive onto the beach to hang out for a while, taking advantage of the natural beauty that surrounded us. In conclusion, our time at Cupcake exceeded our expectations, and we would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a tranquil escape. We will definitely be returning for another visit and have already begun recommending this property to our friends. Don't miss the opportunity to indulge in the stunning views and unmatched tranquility that Cupcake has to offer.

Adorable rental!
Great location, quiet neighborhood, awesome communication with owner! When we were deciding on a cabin, most didn’t include linens! Who does that?! So frustrating! So, we found Cupcake by the Ocean & it has been beautifully redone, and didn’t charge for linens! A short walk to the beach and LOTS of beach toys, chairs, and a tent for your use! We loved that the cabin was at the quieter end of the Peninsula! Also, so close to the ferry, Big Store, and brand new Tia Juanita’s!!!! We loved our stay, and you will too!

Stylish Cottage By The Beach
Great place for a family vaca at the beach. This stylish house is not only clean, comfortable, and well stocked with vacationers needs, but is as close to the beach as you can get. The owner is helpful, accomodating, and does a great job communicating.

Beautiful house
Just passing through on a cross country trip, my husband and I had never been to south Texas before. First of all the location of the house is perfect. Quiet, no one around this time of year, it was the perfect getaway. Get some lunch at Steve’s, grab a few tacos at Tacos Rosita, and check out Gaido’s in Galveston for a great meal in an old-fashioned setting. The ferry is free and just a few miles away. Take a drive on the beach, explore. Or just enjoy the view from the deck with a glass of wine. You won’t want to leave. We’ll be back.

Beautiful property with such an amazing view!
We rented this property for a family getaway and it did not disappoint! The space was perfect and the beds were so comfortable. The view was amazing and the beach was a short walk down to the access point. We spent every evening in the deck watching the water.

Loved our stay! The house was in a great location, well appointed and clean. Shopped at the Big Store and was able to cook for our group almost all of our meals and drink coffee and wine on that great patio! Appreciate the wine upon arrival! Thank you!!!!! Would love to return!

Beautiful, cozy home!
We loved this house and the location SO much! I stayed with my husband and two young children and it was perfect! It’s within a few minutes easy walking distance to get down to the actual beach (another suggestion - we rented a golf cart and this was AMAZING - highly recommend the company the owner refers to in her book in the house!) but the view from the back deck is directly of the dunes and beach - totally unobstructed and gorgeous. The owner was extremely communicative and VERY helpful and accommodating. We will absolutely come back to this property!

I'm a native Texan born in Beaumont and after traveling the world as a Naval officer I settled down in Houston. My husband and I have 3 kids under 6 that keep us pretty busy so we love having a place to kick back and escape the bustle of the city.

My favorite things in the world are the beach (obviously), tennis, watching my kids grow up, coffee & wine and my husband (in no particular order!)

I chose VRBO to share our place because I want it to be a more personal experience than a rental agency and I enjoy the communication and experiences of our guests! I've always had a better time staying at a personally hosted home rather than one in a large rental pool as a guest.

Why they chose this property

This is our family's perfect haven away from everything. Because we view this as our home we've provided all the things you really need so you feel like you're at your place. My dream was to create a place where we can escape with just an overnight bag! I strive hard to make sure it's clean and beautiful for my family and yours.
