What a cute little spot. We enjoyed our stay while in the area for a hot August weekend. The house is just as described. Very clean. Comfortable beds. The bunk room is tiny and the beds are too. Incredibly my 12 year old fit on one and make it work. It would be better just to have a twin bed in that room.
The space is exactly as the pictures show and is described.
While the furniture could have been more comfortable, the home served it’s purpose and we loved the enclosed porch overlooking the lake.
John was very pleasant and welcomed us as we were settling in to make sure we didn’t have any questions.
This was a great stay. We will likely book again. It had everything we needed. We just took the mattresses off the kids bunk bed and put them on the floor to sleep 6 adults. Very relaxing at the cottage.
The house was charming and beautiful view overlooking lake which included screened porch. Very clean. John was very accommodating. Holiday weekend was really busy on water with jet skis and boats, but disappointing when your goal was to fish.
There are some things that I would recommend to be more comfortable is a new couch and mattress for master bed. Great for theme but not comfortable. tv cable did not work. Overall we did enjoy our stay watching the sunsets and a little fishing the last day.

Beautiful lake view, cozy fireplace, comfortably accommodates 4 adults.
John was wonderful to work with, great communication and he went above and beyond to get an important item lost at the cabin back to my son. The lake was beautiful, fireplace cozy, a simple older home to gather. It accommodates only 4 adults in a room with 1 queen bed and a 2nd room with 2 twin beds. The bunk room can only accommodate 3 small children, an adult or teenager would not be able to sleep in the very small, overlapping bunks. We will happily stay again, but not with more than 4 adults.
We are four friends who take an annual "Ladies Retreat" and this year it was in Nashua. Our lake house was perfect for us. It is exactly as depicted in the pictures, very homey and comfortable. There was everything you could need in the house, extremely well stocked. Comfortable beds. Our host, John, was there to greet us upon arriving and very helpful. The only unfortunate thing was that it appears the pandemic had a very negative effect on the town of Nashua, many closed stores, but hopefully this will be resolved with time. Thank you so very much John. We totally enjoyed our time with you!
Lakeside cottage with a beautiful view. Quiet residential neighborhood. Property was very clean and well maintained. Host was friendly and accommodating. The screened porch was a great way to enjoy the outdoors while staying shaded and insect-free. The appliances are a blast from the past, but everything works. Travelers contemplating a longer stay should note that the amenities do not include a washer/dryer. Overall, a great experience. We would definitely stay here again.
We enjoyed our stay in Nashua very much. The property is nice, the porch is great. The instructions for the Wi-Fi network were incorrect but we figured it out. The location of this house is terrific. The park on the other side of the lake was wonderful for our grandkids.
We had a wonderful trip. Spent time at the county fair, then enjoyed the lake. The owner was friendly and generous, and our kids had a fantastic time. The house was perfect for what we needed. Bunk beds for the kids we perfect. Lovely place!
This is a nice little house perfect for a little family getaway. The 70's décor was fun and the porch was the perfect place to relax. It is not secluded as it is surrounded by several homes and neighborhoods and the neighbors are extremely close. There is a room with three bunk beds, but we did not use them as we did not feel like they would work for a grown adult in regards to size and comfort but luckily we had an air mattress to sleep on the porch. The fishing was great. I would definitely recommend this for a small family but maybe not a group of adults looking to let loose for the weekend. The host was great and communicated with us throughout the whole process.
The house was indeed very clean and the view of the lake was beautiful. While you're there, check out the historic "Little Brown Church" just a few miles down the road and also neighboring Waverly, IA has some excellent bike trails. We rode about 9 miles on the paved "rail trail" from Waverly to Denver which was a railway track at one time.
This cabin was very nice. Everything was as mentioned in the listing on VRBO. The property manager was great and even stopped by after we arrived late in the evening to make sure everything was okay. We will definitely be staying here again when we want a place away from home and close to our son and his family.
VERY clean space, beautiful scenery, quiet, nice owner who communicates ahead of time to make sure you have everything you need before your trip. Great getaway.
As soon as I walked in I felt at home. Cabin has a very cozy feel. We spent a lot of time out in the screened in porch. Very relaxing listening to the waves. I would recommend this cabin to anyone needing some down time. The owner, John, was very friendly and easy to work with.
