Blue Goose - Close to the Ark Encounter

Galloping Goose Cottages is located in Dry Ridge, Kentucky. We offer 10 cottages 8 with Queen Beds and 2 with Twin beds. All are fully equipped with Air Conditioning and Heat, Cozy beds with Luxurious Linens, Full Bathroom, Roku Flat Screen Tv's, Wi-Fi, Mini Refrigerator, Microwave, and Keurig. The cottages are 190 Square feet. Parking on premises is available. They're located only minutes away from The Ark in Williamstown, KY! The Cottages are located next to a train track.
After making a reservation please be sure to check your email. The cottages are self check in. There is no office onsite. All check-in details such as address, access codes etc. will be located in that email.
After a reservation is made please complete the pre-checkin details sent to your email from RGC Enterprise Vacation Homes. Our address as well as places to eat and things to do in the area will be listed.
The Access code to your cottage is sent 3 days before your reservation via email.

Noisy train

Property was clean. No trouble checking in. The problem came with the noise level. If it wasn’t the train going by constantly throughout the day and night, it was the heating system thumping like a drum every time it came on. We ended up turning the temp down so it wouldn’t run so often, which wasn’t all that great because it was quite cold out. Contacted them about the train and was told it didn’t run all night and that there was a white noise generator on the bedside table. To me, static is not much better than the train. You would think they’d mention something about the train seeing as they have white noise generators. We actually ended up leaving a day early due to the noise. Very disappointed.

Quick overnight stop

The cottages are very cute. It was extremely hot out on the day we arrived so the cottage A/C had a hard time keeping up. But other than that it was great.

Adorable

This place is so adorable. I am in love with the little cottage village it’s in. So cute and quiet. It was just what we needed for a one night stay. About the size of a hotel room. Bed was comfy, ac worked great. Internet was kind of in and out but it worked enough to watch some tv. Would love to come back!

Nice place

We only stayed one night before our trip to the Ark Encounter. It served our purpose, was comfortable and clean. Had everything we needed. Wi-Fi and Internet were easy to access and plenty of places to get food close by. Very close to the Ark.

Creation/Ark Exploration Stay

We enjoyed the little cabin’s vibe . The cabin was clean and fresh paired with a cute farmhouse decor . Enjoyed the plush mattress the cabin provided. We felt secure and our car was right outside of our door . We enjoyed the sound of the local train a few times as it added to our memories. The location was nicely positioned to our destination of The Creation Museum and The Ark . I would definitely recommend staying here .

Great stay but housekeeping didn’t bring items we needed

We did as we were told and put the sign on the door of items we needed . We needed extra towels and coffee. They never showed up and we were there Thursday to Sunday. Housekeeping never showed up the whole time. If you say something for guests they need to be accommodated. That doesn’t look good and probably won’t stay again because of it.

Our room hadn’t been cleaned. We had to wait for someone to come and get us into another cottage. We enjoyed our stay when we got settled.

No frills but everything you need

Nice little place to stay away from the busyness. The train was interesting but not a problem. Very clean, efficient, couldn't use the TV b/c the batteries were bad but that was handled. Overall a good place to stay.

The rooms were unique but we had trouble getting in our room when we arrived because we didn't receive a code to get in.

Book this place!

Perfect cabin for 2 of us! Spotlessly clean, private,modern, comfortable bed. Everthing you need. Close to many restaurants, stores, and gas stations. Would definitely book with them again.

Cute place

Overall this was a clean cute place. The only downfall was not knowing what to do with our trash or dirty towels. When we asked for towels they didn't bring them so i had to call the next day and they finally brought some but didn't take the dirty ones or empty the trash. There is a check list to check what you need but no place to put you need trash emptied and trash bags. I found an outside trash can and emptied it myself and used recycled grocery bags to put back in the can. Just need a little more effort with housecleaning. Also, when we got there we found a pair of prescription glasses that someone probably misses...i called and let them know and they said they would send someone to get them but no one did...I sent a picture of where i left them in case we were gone. When we checked out I left them in the same place. I hope they find the person they belong to. Overall it was a good stay just need better housekeeping.
