Experience the healing and peace that only gentle waves from our 100ft beach on Discovery Bay can bring. Our cabin was built in 1939 by our grandfather who was an early business owner in Port Townsend. He wisely recognized that for decades to come this would be a prized place of rest. The Beach Cabin was maintained and enjoyed by the next generations ..... and now we get to share it with you. The Cabin rests on a mid Bank Bluff 70 ft directly above the water. Customized and newly constructed stairs lead to your beach with Driftwood for fire supplied by the Bay :-) The cabin is 500 square feet with new roof and plumbing. Our rustic well loved cabin features a kitchen including a propane gas grill on the porch, 3/4 bath, a small bedroom, and breathtaking views. Add fresh coffee and you'll create a wonderful and memorable get away. Knotty blue stained Pine, a mid-century Style fireplace , and original booth from the old Lands End Restaurant in Port Townsend makes this cabin quaint and cozy.

It was indeed an honor to stay at the historic family cottage by the sea! Darrell was gracious and welcoming surrounded by history and artifacts from a simpler time! Sweetly rustic!
Right on the beach and a quick drive into town. Bare bones but everything one needs. It gets cold in the winter though. It was snowing while we were there and even with the heaters going full blast and a towel covering the gap below the front door it didn't keep up at night. There is a fireplace but we didn't really want to make a fire. Still a beautiful place and in the summer would be amazing.
A really lovely spot for a cosy weekend. The deck down by the water is magical, the fireplace is easy and beautiful. Rain or shine, this is a great spot. Super close to town–ten minutes drive into downtown PT. Offered us everything we needed!
The view of Discovery Bay and surrounding mountains are stunning.
The cabin sits on the edge of the bank about 75 feet above the water.
The cabin is rustic built I believe about 1943. Although it’s rustic it has everything need for a nice stay. The only thing you need to bring is your food and clothes and your set.
The owners are very nice and check on us a few times to see if we needed anything.
If there was a downside the windows face West and when temps reach upper 70’s the cabin gets quite warm.
We really had a wonderful stay, there’s so much to see and do in the area.
