Romantic 1850's 3BR (Optional 5th Bedroom Summer only) Mansion near Madison majestically sits on the highest point in Columbia County on nearly two acres of manicured landscape.

Governor James T. Lewis, the ninth Governor of Wisconsin (1864-66), led the state through the tumultuous conclusion of the Civil War.
The movie Public Enemies with Johnny Depp was filmed in this town.

Enjoy a private 2 hour piano concert (electric keyboard) by Emmy nominated, professional musician & composer, Terry Sweet. $250 additional by request payment.
2. Optional:
Wine & Charcuterie board (individual) 2 hour service. $250 by additional request payment.
2. Small dogs ok. Pet deposit required.
3. Make new memories that will last for generations!!
4. There is a 2ND KITCHEN, with an electric stove & oven, full size refrigerator, and sink and prep area for ADDITIONAL fee.
Step back in time to the innocence and romance of the 1850’s. This is the original home of James Taylor Lewis, 9th Governor of Wisconsin.
Located in the City of Columbus, just twenty minutes from Madison.
Renovated in detail to its original splendor, the Governor Lewis Mansion is open for stays, weddings, receptions, photo shoots, meetings, retreats, and more.
This historical Mansion is set on 1.7 beautiful acres and holds many secrets and stories.
In short, there's simply not…a more congenial spot.
This is the perfect place to begin your story.
Feather top on some of the beds. Can be removed if allergic.
Meal service can be added for extra fee.
Located just 45 min from Wisconsin Dells OR just a few train stops on the AMTRAK Empire Builder line from Chicago.
