Peaceful, Private 2 Bedroom Apt - Hot Tub, Mtn views -11 mi to Asheville

We invite you to get away from the hustle and bustle and unwind in our ‘Little Piece of Heaven’ surrounded by acres of woods, fields, lawns, gardens, pond & mountain views.

Private driveway/parking to lower level of home with private 2 bdrm, full bath apt - 2 queen bedrooms with keyed entrances, TV’s in each room, den with desk and futon (full-sleeps 1). (This is the only area that host has personal affects as this is a semi shared space. Host may access the hall to the den when guests are 'out n about' to use the laundry room).

Kitchenette provides mini fridge, microwave, toaster oven, electric fry pan, toaster, coffee pot, coffee, tea, creamer, starter breakfast, oatmeal packets & snacks, mugs, dishes, cutlery, glasses (beverage and wine). there is an add'l mini fridge in Blue Rm closet for over flow convenience.

Laundry/utility room is available to wash dishes and do laundry if needed.

The patio is a beautiful peaceful place to enjoy a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and soak in the mountain air in the hot tub. Deer come to side yard to feed at dusk. It is weather protected with hammock, table/chairs, cushioned chairs, Weber grill, fire pit and outdoor lighting. Side yard has a "chipping golf range" (wedges and limited balls provided).

We also have an Australian Shepherd-Callie. She is very friendly but does like to do her job by 'herding' visitors at times. A firm NO will send her scurrying, but please be sure to let us know if she is bothering you. She spends most of her time with us in our home upstairs. You also may be visited by one or more of our six chickens. They are free range during the day and like to come and visit periodically.

*We do allow 1 dog, 25 lbs or under, must be crated when not supervised and we ask that they not be permitted to be in or on beds/furniture.

Our home is an easy 20 min. to downtown Asheville, skiing at Wolf Laurel is 14 mi and 10 min to Weaverville with galleries, shops, bakery and restaurants. Also our area provides abundance of outdoor activities: beautiful hiking trails with water falls, views, rafting, zip lining to name a few.

Home Away From Home

What a gift it was to have this "Little Piece of Heaven" as our home base while we explored western North Carolina! The living space was exceptional, with comfy beds, beautiful decor, and a well-stocked kitchenette and bathroom with all the amenities you'd need on vacation. The outstanding features continued outdoors as well, with a beautiful yard and patio to relax and enjoy the amazing scenery of this area. The physical property was truly extraordinary, only to be surpassed by the hosts themselves! They were so warm and welcoming, available for as much interaction as we desired as guests. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay there longer! It was truly a home away from home --- one that we would LOVE to return to!

A little piece of heaven

Words cannot say what I want to say. Everything about this experience was wonderful. From the moment we booked to the moment we left, everything was perfection. Hillary was in constant communication. She kept us aware of the hurricane damage and process. Thankfully, nothing of theirs was in the path of the hurricane. She greeted us in person at the door and gave us a personal tour of the property. She had our names on a welcome board, she baked a banana bread, and went above and beyond for everything we needed. The property was peaceful and clean. The hot tub and the fire pit or a wonderful touch. I would absolutely recommend this property and these hosts. If I ever get the chance to come back, I will absolutely book with them again.

Like an adventure in heaven!

The property was absolutely fantastic! From start to finish, everything about this rental exceeded our expectations. The attention to detail and the thoughtful gestures made our experience truly unforgettable. The communication with the host was exceptional. They were prompt, friendly, and incredibly helpful. Any questions or concerns we had were addressed promptly, making us feel valued and well taken care of even before our arrival. Upon entering the property, we were blown away by the location, beautiful countryside, and the home itself. It was evident that the hosts put a great deal of effort into maintaining the home and property. The pictures do not give justice to how beautiful the view actually is in real time. I cannot think of one negative thing about my 10 days there. The hosts, Hilary and Dan went above and beyond for our needs. There are so many perks but you must find out what they are on your own. Thank you for making my stay there just that much better. The location is close to everything I wanted to experience. So many waterfalls, great hiking, the River Arts District, amazing restaurants. The home itself was comfortable, clean, and inviting. The beds are super comfy with very nice linens. The patio is basically where we spent most of our time which if you stay there, you'll know exactly why. So many thoughtful details to actually list. Again, thank you for everything. Believe me, I never wanted to leave! I will be return, that's a promise.

Hillary and Dan's "Little Piece of Heaven" is exactly that. We LOVED our stay there. They are incredibly welcoming and kind people. The beds are extremely comfortable and cozy. Hillary thought about every little detail and it shows in this beautiful place. I highly recommend it!

A providential breath of peace

This property was perfectly placed nearby all our planned activities while having all the amenities, relaxation, and views to trump any nearby hotel or lodge. Our hosts went the second mile for us, and they were tremendously hospitable and pleasant to interact with while we got to enjoy their wonderful outdoor porch, garden, and fire pit. We were blessed with peace during our stay, and we would stay here again.

Charming and Cozy

There were loads of space and amenities, including TVs in both rooms, a "family room" (it's private), a kitchenette with a coffee maker, toaster oven, microwave, hot plate, and table-top grill. The host provided a variety of snacks, coffe, tea, bottled water and a delicious, homemade loaf of carrot cake. Thanks Hilary! They even provided all the makings for s'mores!! You won't get that level of hospitality in any hotel! Hilary and Dan couldn't have been more accomodating.They checked in frequently to see if we needed anything, including our last-minute request for a bonfire. Thanks Dan! The beds were very comfortable with soft sheets and lots of pillows. The bathroom was well stocked with soaps, lotions...even q-tips and cotton balls. Each room had a beautiful, scenic view and sliding doors opening onto a private patio. The only disappointment was in having to say goodbye. But well be back soon because it's our new favorite place to visit!

Phenomenal Hosting Ever by far

Hilary and Dan were very well organized and welcoming! Our stay had lots of unexpected complimentary goodies. The best was probably the side by side wheeler riding that Dan graciously let us venture out and really see the property. They made it very personal for myself with the birthday gifts. One of the best experiences we’ve had; the hosts were very responsive, welcoming, and helpful and the location is breathtaking. This is the most thoughtful place we’ve stayed; there were multiple outlets on the nightstands, WiFi password posted in multiple spots, a very well stocked bathroom, etc. The beds and bedding were very comfortable. Amazing views, friendly folk and dog, comfiest space!

The space is wonderfully cute and comfortable with all amenities (board games, coffee, etc) you could want. The firepit and views of the mountain valley were excellent and we all loved seeing the farm dog come around and check up on us. Ideal location for visiting Asheville or going on mountain hikes! We are seriously considering coming back!

Peaceful Getaway

Our hosts went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. Thank you!! We loved all the seating options on the porch and the fire pit with mountain spring blooming views. So peaceful and felt at home. Each bedroom and living room had their own private sliding doors to the outside area. Everything was super clean and decorated so nicely! My granddaughter had a Easter egg hunt outside and enjoyed seeing the chickens, turkey, and deer. Had everything we needed and more! Will stay again the next time we are in Weaverville.

Birthday weekend for 15 year old daughter

Wow wow wow! What a wonderful place! Hilary and Dan were the most gracious hosts ever, and the apartment was super clean, comfortable and stocked with goodies and everything we needed and more! The linens were very high quality, beds were comfortable, and the patio was all decorated for Christmas with a beautiful view! The weekend was to celebrate our daughters 15th birthday, and on arrival there was a birthday card and gourmet cupcakes waiting for us! We were also treated to banana bread and an assortment of drinks and snacks. Dan gave Izzy a ride on his side by side and let her help feed the chickens, which she adored. I’ve stayed in a lot of VRBO’s, but this experience was truly the best, most exceptional stay yet! Thank you to the hosts for thinking of everything and making us feel so comfortable! I would, and will, recommend this place to anyone wanted to visit the Weaverville/Asheville area!

Mother/Daughter Weekend

This was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had with home stay! Dan and Hilary welcomed us with open arms. Hilary answered every text or email in a timely manner and I never felt like a bother, which is quite rare. Both Dan and Hilary were there for anything we needed but they did not hover. We will be staying here again!

A Few Days of Paradise!

There aren't enough words to explain how extraordinary our stay was at A Little Piece of Heaven in Weaverville, NC. From the moment we arrived until the last moment (when we tearfully left), everything was PERFECT!! The property was spectacular! What views -- we spent hours on the covered patios enjoying the rainy days watching the raindrops and enjoying a few sunny hours. The accommodations were clean, comfortable, and spacious. Our hosts thought of everything to make us feel welcome from coffee to snacks to plush linen and towels. Our hosts were so kind and considerate. We never knew they were on the property with us!! We will definitely go back and will send family and friends whenever possible... plus plan to send family there as a gift! You will be more than delighted with your choice when you stay there!!

Tranquil and beautiful property, chickens are a bonus.

We rented this place as it was close to the Wild Abundance carpentry workshop we were attending. As soon as I booked the space, Hilary was very communicative from the get go, even offering to pick up groceries for us. She and her husband set up the fire pit and even hung up the hammock for us. They made sure we had everything we needed. While there isn't a kitchen, there was plenty of room for us to store our food purchases & wine. The property is gorgeous as is the surrounding area. They have some lively chickens that ran up to my friend as she was walking their garden. The thing that really cracked us up was watching one of their chickens hopping, step by step up the stairs to top deck. Hilarious. This is a must stay place!

My husband Dan and I are retired. We have lived in our home for 34 years. He is originally from Upstate NY and I am originally from NE PA with a detour to Cape Town, SA before settling in Western North Carolina. We love where we live and once our girls went out on their own and we retired we wanted to continue to share our beautiful home and surrounding area with others. We love to meet new folks, make sure they are comfortable and that they enjoy their 'home away from home'. Each guest is treated like family but given all the space and privacy they desire.
We have an Australian Shepherd, Callie and 6 free range chickens. They may even come up to the patio and say hi!
Dan loves to play golf so we have a chipping course on the side yard if you'd like to practice. In the summer we have a great garden and share our produce with our guests. Help yourself if you see something ready for picking. Also, let us know if you would like some free range fresh eggs.

The patio offers an outdoor space to read, relax and enjoy the mountain views, a soak in the hot tub or watch for deer, fox, turkey that meander by in the early morning or evening.
