Let me just say, it’s even better than it looks in the pictures. The cabin is heated, so you can be comfy and warm at night, the cooking area is comfortable, and the hosts are exceptionally lovely people. We had a great time.
Stayed 2 nights. Relaxing, peaceful. Joanna responsive to any needs. Dogs enjoyed the pond. Definitely recommend if you want secluded place with plenty of area to walk/hike.
To start with we were able to book on very short notice, less than 2 hour, which is due to hreat communication and fast response from the owners. The setting is soo beautiful quiet and serene. The owners were very friendly and leave you to enjoy the the privacy of nature, but are willing to bring anything you may need, ie firewood, fresh water, propane for the grill, etc. We did not want to leave and cannot wait to go back!
Great place to relax and enjoy nature. Definitely cold in late October but there is a propane fireplace in the cabin that kept the cabin warm. Proper outhouse but it was clean! There are solar charged lights around the property but definitely bring a headlamp to help especially inside the cabin. Bit of a hill that is steep in some areas, not bad, but if you don’t do well on slopes it could be a little tricky. Good amount of fire wood although some was quite damp from the recent weather. Quiet with little noise of cars driving on the closest road. Stars are great!
What a lovely find! The owners were super welcoming and very responsive by text. They have water, firewood, a great grill with propane, toilet paper, lighters, solar/battery powered lights, and other helpful basics in case you forgot your own. The cabin is very comfortable -- clean, dry, and cozy. The outhouse is very conveniently placed right across from the cabin. The grill station is covered and has a table you can set up along with some cushions for the campfire chairs. The whole experience was wonderful, and we loved the quiet seclusion where our pup could roam freely. We would love to go back again!
Amazing property with gracious hosts. The wild life was something else between the porcupine, wild River otters and deer running by the cabin in the morning it really felt secluded. The day I spent by the fire burning wood clearing my mind was more than awesome. It felt nice just to be out in nature and not have to worry about anything else. Really appreciate what you have made and have shared! Thank you
Joanna and her husband couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating. The spot looks exactly like the pictures. There’s a little creek behind the cabins for the pups to play in and a small pond on the property to try your luck at fishing. There was plenty of fire wood on hand and they even dropped more off just incase. We’d highly recommend their location and are excited to return ourselves. Bring some flashlights for nighttime if you want to walk the trails.
It was a nice spot to just get away! Very quiet with the sounds of nature all around. Expect to be one with nature because most of the elements of social life are gone here!! Bring your lights because no electric means no electric! Everything was clean and set up the way it was described. Will be looking to stay here again when the wife and I get a chance to escape again! There is also a steep hillside from parking location to cabin that was not listed. Did not cause any issues for us just a note for others. Only issues were with the grill not being fully functional, rusted flat top and the grill side was not burning properly. Out house toilet could have been cleaned prior to stay as well. Overall great experience!
Neat little place they have going. Camping experience but you’ll get to sleep warm and dry. Dog loved playing in the creek. Super nice and welcoming hosts.
This property has access to fishing, great food and amazing people! Went for a weekend expecting sun but it ended up raining- was not an issue whatsoever. Everything inside stayed dry and we had constant check-ins from the hosts. I love this place and would 100% recommend.
Such a great weekend. Amazing hosts, thoughtful and considerate. Away from all of the stress of regular day to day life. We really needed the break, which is hard to take sometimes. Enjoyed every moment we were there
The cabin is cute and the secluded feel is great. The camp had everything we needed such as TP, Garbage can, bug spray, lantern, there was even a corn hole game! We tried fishing in the stream but no fish. Great overall stay, will probably go there again in the future. FYI there is a pretty steep hill down to the cabin, you have to park at the top and walk up and down, so not great for old people or baby stroller
Was a great little cabin and exactly as advertised!! Was perfect for unplugging and getting away from the stress of work and the internet and life. Only recommendation would be a way to lock the cabin from inside just for a sense of peace of mind. Overall we LOVED our stay!!!
We love the cabin it was beautiful. Quite peaceful yet close to anything we needed. The people there are welcoming and friendly. I loved the my time in that cabin and town
We had a wonderful weekend in this charming cabin. It was clean and well maintained, and we felt very welcomed by the hosts. We were four people and we fit perfectly, but I think it might be hard to house more than four here. The setting is an idyllic hollow down its own path, and the feeling is being off in the woods though it is not hard to reach many nearby attractions by car. The outhouse and other amenities (grill and food prep area) were all clean and in good shape. We brought plenty of drinking water, and the combination of solar and battery-powered lights made this off-the-grid living quite comfortable.
