Great house with excellent views

We liked it a lot. Very roomy. The outside tub is actually not a hot tub but a cold tub. It was too cold for us in the evening. Unfortunately on our last nigh the air-conditioner in the bedroom failed. I was kind of missing a proper dining table. Instead, a kitchen-island with bar stools is used. Apart from that, a nice house.

Villa Legend is a dream space for those who want to stay on the magical island of Moorea. The villa is a perfect retreat from it all. High above the waters below, the view is most impressive. Our host was wonderful, communicated great and offered to help us setup activities. Can't wait to go back.

A beautiful place!

I have rented other villas at the Legends and this one is by far the cleanest and nicest! The view on both the mountains and water is amazing and you'll have the greatest sunsets. The villa is spacious, very clean and quiet. I will come back for sure :)

Better than an overwater bungalow

This was our first trip to Moorea and this place helped make our stay epic. The picture really don’t do this beautiful Villa justice. First, our communication with Anais was seamless from booking to checking out. She was extremely friendly, accommodating and thorough. Anais helped guide us to our property and then walked us through and made sure we understood everything (washer & dryer are in French for us English speaking visitors). The Villa is breathtaking, quiet, secluded, and yet open, spacious, clean, and relaxing. To be secluded in a tropical jungle mountain and yet have a breathtaking taking view of the Pacific Ocean, incredible. The Villa is open and not completed sealed off where the roof and walls meet and you have the ability to open the sliding doors and windows for a cross breeze. A ceiling fan or at least some oscillating fans in the living area would be a welcome touch. The master suite & bath are incredible and luxurious with room air conditioning. We arrived to find fresh local flowers and greens on our bed, such a lovely touch you would expect in a resort. The kitchen was great for cooking and had everything we needed and the living area was comfortable for relaxing. Our favorite was the wrap around deck, lounge chairs, and plunge pool! We dined outside in the covered dining area and utilized that plunge pool every afternoon. We would highly recommend this stay, especially for romantic couples. Thank you again Anais, so memorable!

Amazing view

We had an amazing stay. The views of the water and mountains were breathtaking. It was very peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed eating outside and looking out to the mountains. There are many geckos and lizards that like to come visit you while eating and in the kitchen. The deck got a little hot in the morning as the sun comes right in. The house had everything we needed. And you must stop by the bakery at the entrance of the villas, the croissants were amazing!

Belle villa avec environnement et vue époustouflante

Très beau domaine privé à flanc de montagne, toutes les villas ont une vue incroyable, la 39 est dans la partie la plus haute du domaine. Superbe terrasse avec un jacuzzi appréciable puisque la piscine du domaine n’est pas à côté. Petit bémol, le coin repas d’extérieur est un peu coincé dans un angle, pas très agréable car peu ventilé, mal éclairé avec led blanche et pas de vue sur le panorama, dommage, nous n’en avons pas profité d’autant qu’en cette saison, les moustiques sont au rv. La maison est décorée avec goût, la cuisine bien équipée mais avec un mini lave vaisselle pas vraiment adapté à la vaisselle de 4 et a fortiori de 6 personnes. La suite parentale est très belle, la deuxième chambre double avec sde et wc très bien également,la dernière chambre plus modeste avec deux lits donne sur le salon et la sde commune. Toutes les chambres ont une Clim très performante, mais comme dans toutes les maisons sous les tropiques, pas de Clim dans la pièce à vivre, seulement un ventilo. Une petite remarque concernant les salles d’eau très confortables, elles sont équipées d’ampoules à led blanches qui n’éclairent vraiment pas et donne une mine à faire peur. Voilà, quelques petits point négatifs, mais c’est une très belle maison où nous avons passé un séjour agréable et probablement dans le meilleur secteur de l’île.

The location was great and the view as well! Great hosts too. There were a few small things we noticed it needed. There weren't any wash clothes for the bathrooms, and no extra toilet paper. Also, the electric went out several times, but it was easily fixed. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

Disappointed

No one greeted us. No information in the villa on how to run anything. I called the owner he was rude to me.Two days later we called and demanded someone come to review everything. She was a big help. The villa furniture was old and cushions needed to be replaced.

Legends Residencies

A really brilliant place to stay. Great location in the NW of the island, across the road from a well known place to swim with sharks and stingrays. Great host. The house is up the hill overlooking the lagoon, meaning you get both the views and a breeze. The only downside is the mosquitos - but they are a feature all over the island. The place is very well set out, clean, pretty well stocked with essentials and, for good measure, has a wonderful deck and great jacuzzi. Hard to fault. Word of warning though - don’t try to go hiking up the surrounding hills. They are riddled with a spreading lawyer vine.

Rooms With a View

We selected this villa for a 6-nt stay away from the big tourist hotels. After navigating the steep winding entry road, the view was amazing. Overall the place was spacious and attractive but more worn than depicted in the photos, which attests to it’s steady use. We found that the villa was appointed with comfy furniture and major appliances but lacked small kitchen conveniences such as a toaster, better cooking utensils, sharp knives, more wine glasses, etc. The decor could use a refresh to replace the mismatched towels, dark brown bedding, temp sofa cover and stacks of +5yr old magazines and travel guides. The host Anais was very friendly and helpful and promptly handled maintenance issues during our stay. The wi-fi was reliably good and is needed to stream alternate programs to the French language tv channels. The a/c was only in the bedrooms due to the open-air roof eaves of the wood ceilings, but worked well for restful sleep. Typical of tropical homes, there will be geckos and insects indoors, a colorful aspect of local living. The villa location is a short distance to some great restaurants (Le Lezard Jaune, Snack Mahana, Coco Beach dock pickup) so you’ll need a car to get around. If you’re a seasoned traveler, this villa is a relaxed self-catering option for stays longer than 3-4 days on Moorea, but it may not meet the expectations of those looking for hotel luxury.

Wonderful Stay

Property is just as pictures portray only better! This is our second stay at The Legends and would not hesitate to go there for a third time and most definitely will! This house is well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable, carefree stay. Kitchen has an abundance of plates, mugs and glasses as well as pans, cooking utensils, even if baking! Bathrooms are fantastic with large showers in each as well as water pressure that is unbelievable. We only used master bedroom and found it to be cozy with a very comfortable bed. Only 2 bedrooms have air conditioning but you would think the entire house had central air when doors are open. Property host Anais was a joy with a wonderful personality, met us and throughly went over property and was readily available for assistance, reservations, suggestions and even printing covid paperwork needed for flights. I would without hesitation recommend this home for a very care and worry free and relaxing vacation. Tip: if going in whale watching season, bring binoculars to see them playing in the sea below.

Beautiful view villa

This villa is located high up the hill and offers gorgeous views of the water and surrounding hillsides. It is spacious and modern, everything works well and it is well stocked. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The only unfortunately thing is the jacuzzi is not heated, but most days are warm enough on Moorea that that is just fine.

Very nice stay

Villa is nice and clean, super view from terrace. Owner was very responsive and person who met in villa very nice and friendly. Villa location in North side of the island is also very good. Just you neec the car, there is quite long and deep way to reach to Villa. We also liked Holly Steak House very much, it was very near, possible to walk.

Great view and very comfortable

We stayed in #39 for six nights in December 2018. Inside a beautifully landscaped, very private gated community, the villa is a convenient base for exploring Moorea. The view over the lagoon from the deck is spectacular, and the three bedrooms, living area, and kitchen/dining area were spacious and comfortable. The bathrooms are beautiful, and the washer and dryer were a bonus. Clement made checking in and out very easy. We had a great time, and definitely would book the villa again.
