Anniversary getaway

We stayed for 3 nights to celebrate our anniversary. The cottage was very clean and has a well stocked kitchen. The hosts are extremely helpful and kind. The area was so quiet which was perfect for us considering it was Monday to Thursday in October. We enjoyed the spectacular views and the hot tub. 10/10 recommend to stay here

Family cottage holiday

We had a wonderful stay. My son who is three loved the cottage - we went fishing, kayaking, swimming, sight seeing and just enjoyed spending time together with our family on the dock. The cottage has everything you could think of and was in a lovely sunny spot in the lake. Cottage was clean and hosts were very nice and responsive. Thanks again Travis and Kerri!

Perfect waterfront escape

This place was perfect for our family and our friends. The Bunkie gave our friends their own separate space at night while the cottage and the lake offered everything we needed to make some awesome memories with our kids. Kennesis Lake is a gem and we would love to stay again in the future.

We absolutely loved our little weekend getaway! The cottage was everything we hoped for; it was cute and cozy and offered everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Most of our time was spent just hanging out on the dock and kayaking. It was so peaceful and serene. We also appreciated the little personal touch to help us celebrate our anniversary. Can’t wait to visit again!

Great getaway! Property does not disappoint!

This property is beautiful. Exactly like the pictures, but much cozier in person. This cottage has a very well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, and everything you will need to have a fabulous time. Extremely responsive owners who explain everything you need to know. Many stairs on this property; good exercise for all! Wouldn’t hesitate to rent again.

Wonderful Lakeside Retreat

We are a group of 4 friends who booked a weekend getaway by the lake. The cottage had everything we needed including a good internet and cell coverage as a couple of us needed to keep in touch with work. We enjoying kayaking, paddleboarding and swimming off the dock. The hot tub was perfect in the evenings. Our host was welcoming and easily contacted. Great time!!!

Little slice of heaven

My sister and niece were visiting from the UK and we wanted to show them a little bit of the Canadian cottage country. This beautiful cottage with a hot tub overlooking the lake with a dock, paddle boards, kayaks and canoe were everything and more. My young boys and my pup spent hours in the lake jumping from the lily pad. We enjoyed bbqing and relaxing in the evenings in the hot tub. Travis was a wonderful host and made sure our stay was hassle free and enjoyed with ease. We would love to come back again next summer!

Great experience

My family had an amazing stay at this cottage for a week this summer! The cottage was perfect and the boys loved the bunkie. The kayaks and canoe were great and the kids loved to paddle out to the island to go fishing. Kennisis Lake is beautiful and was fun to explore in the boat and on jet skis. We enjoyed going into Haliburton and visiting the Log Cabin store in West Guilford. Our host was very thorough in going over everything we’d need to know before we went and was available during our stay for any questions I had. We would highly recommend this cottage to others!

Girl’s 60th Getaway

A beautiful spot, nestled on the banks of Kenissis Lake. Plenty of room for all of us (there were 5 of us). An absolutely perfect place for our fall girls getaway to celebrate my sister’s 60th. A shiny new hot tub was was so appreciated. A cozy Bunkie allowed each of us our own bed, all the amenities you could ask for. Our host, Travis was so friendly and gets top marks for great communication. I could go on and on. You’ll just have to rent this spot to really appreciate it.

Beautiful location and relaxing stay!

Thank-You to Travis and Kerri for hosting this breathtaking location. My family and I stayed a week to get away from the hustle and bustle, and to celebrate my 40th! This location and cottage is exactly what we had in mind. The pictures don't lie. There were 6 adults and 1 child and more than enough space for all of us to relax and enjoy. The bunkie is an excellent bonus! We were able to get out on the water and appreciated the water toys that were left for us to use. Every evening we enjoyed the hot tub which came in handy once the sun went down. The firepit was also used every night and is a good size and great location right by the water and under the stars. It is worth noting, the stairs are steep and there are many. If you have anyone over the age of 60, a walking stick does come in very handy. Especially at night. Some lights on the stairs would be beneficial! The trolly for your bags is a fantastic idea. We appreciated that. All in all, excellent location, beautiful scenery, clean and accommodating cottage! We will be back!

cozy cottage with a beautiful view!

This is such a cozy cottage with a beautiful view! Lots of stairs but the trolley is a wonderful help. Beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. The price should include drinking water and there should be no additional charges to use the bunkie. Otherwise, it is a great area that will create great memories!

We had a great time at the cottage. Great spot and cottage. Hosts were great.

Great time spent here with family. Although it was in the off season the area and view here was great. The hot tub was great and it’s a very nice cottage to spend time at with family. The trolley is so useful for getting our stuff to the cottage. The big fireplace kept us nice and warm in the cooler nights. Thanks to the hosts for sharing their place with us.

Recommended - delightful paddleboarding getaway

Travis and Kerri's place is a slice of heaven with everything we needed to have a comfortable, fun time. My partner and I were there for four days in mid October, when there were no neighbors, the lake was calm and the weather was cool, but we could still paddleboard in bathing suits. We loved the gorgeous views of the lake and island from inside and on the deck. We brought out own paddleboards, and I used one of the lifejackets provided. We paddleboarded 6 times, going various places around the lake, plus under the road in a small tunnel that leads to the adjoining lake. We had the lake to ourselves, and this couldn't have been better. The hot tub was clean and well maintained. Inside, everything is updated and attractive. We loved the living room with its comfy sofas. We did a ton of cooking, and found the kitchen had everything we needed. If anything, the ad and the photos of the property undersell the inside. I can see how a family or group would really enjoy it too. It's a steep property with a lot of steps - so definitely not recommended for anyone with mobility challenges. The motorized trolley was cool and very important to us for getting our luggage and gear down from the car. Travis and Kerri provided detailed information and guidance for everything. Plan to bring water, sheets and towels and to take your trash with you - all easy enough. We'd love to stay there again and recommend it highly.
