Get ready to meet a magical and different place, Latica is a beautiful and outstanding Hacienda located in Playa Negra, Guanacaste. Live an unforgettable experience full of harmony, nature and art. Activate your senses, transport yourself to another world, perceive the details that we have prepared for your delight.

We have 8 beautiful rooms (for a maximum of 23 people), plus a Combi Van adapted as a room (for a total of 25 people including this room), each room has its own bathroom.

Hacienda Latica also offers harmonious spaces such as swimming pool with private mini spots and children's pool, solarium, two living rooms with guitars and board games, a fire place to enjoy the bonfire, yoga deck, equipped kitchen (with one of our staff as assistant) and fantastic gardens, orchards and green areas with hammocks to enjoy nature even more.

Best Family Reunion Ever

We had a phenomenal experience at Hacienda LaTica! The photos don't do justice to the property or rooms, all of which exceeded our expectations. We chose to include meals in our stay and were blown away by Chef Luca's delicious fare. All of the staff were warm and accommodating. Karin's suggested added experiences -- from live music to trapeze classes -- helped us create a family reunion beyond our dreams. It was a truly magical, unforgettable experience and we are so grateful.

BEAUTIFUL!!!!

We had a group of 16 and we could not have asked for a better place to stay! It is a beautiful place with gorgeous grounds. The staff were absolutely incredible and let's talk about that pool. We have stayed at a lot of places over the years, but this was by far our favorite and the pool was absolutely the best. If you are looking for a place off the beaten path that is quite and serene this is the place for you. We had the entire place to ourselves and had plenty of room for our groceries and had full use of the kitchen. The rooms each have their own bathroom and are spacious and very clean. Oh yeah and then there were the monkeys. We loved having monkey's in our backyard! We would love to come back!

Amazing Costa Rican Family Reunion

Our family of 18 gathered at Latica Lodge for our annual family reunion this past week and we had a wonderful time! The property is unique and has all the elements needed for a relaxing vacation. The property manager Luca was extremely helpful and the rest of the staff - Reina and Evan - were also excellent. We had several meals prepared by Luca and Reina and they were all delicious. The bedrooms were perfect - with each having its own bathroom for privacy. The location itself is a short drive or bike ride or walk to Playa Negra (1.5 miles or so) - the beach was beautiful and sunset was gorgeous there. We even saw some wild horses roaming the beach! The property is also near Tamarindo which has plenty of additional activities and shopping and dining if you want to include these on your vacation. Overall, a wonderful experience and we would definitely recommend. Hope to come back in the future!

Amazing Place

We were a family of 18 (all adults). We could not have asked for a better home to stay in. The location was perfect, the grounds were beautiful, staff was wonderful, and the pools were amazing. We heard and saw monkeys every day. Angie, Lucia, Melanie, and Brandon were wonderful. Two things I would mention are: two of the rooms (Cielo & Matisse) are in a different building than the rest of the rooms but were still great. When leaving the home to go back to town, I would not recommend making a right out of the location. Google maps told us to make a right and boy was it a ride. It was the day after a hard rain so sections of the road were washed away and it was definitely a 4x4 road. We were in a 12 passenger van and it was a little dicey at times, but we made it through. Always go directly to the left when leaving the property unless you want to go on a 4x4 journey. You will not be disappointed in Hacienda LaTica/LaTica Lodge. It truly was a wonderful experience. Pura Vida!
