120 steps to the Gulf takes 1.5 minutes through private beach access! Barefoot Bungalow has amazing ocean views while spotting dolphins from the porch or playing cards with the family in the kitchen. At 2000 sq ft, guests can relax and unwind in comfort. High speed internet and Dish on 5 flat screen TV's help families stay connected. Guests should take advantage of deep-sea fishing, local restaurants, a quick bike ride to ice cream and even golf along the Gulf. We hope you enjoy our home!

Barefoot Bungalow has 2 desks for working or virtual school, lamps in the bedrooms have USB ports for charging devices, a charcoal grill, a loft area that can be a cozy reading nook or place to play games, a large front porch that also wraps around the side with ocean views, a pack and play and booster seat available for our favorite little guests, family board games and books, a DVD player to watch movies, a fully stocked kitchen, 8 bicycles, and finally bath towels, beach towels, and sheets are included. We also have sand toys and beach chairs for your time at the beach. Our driveway holds a maximum of 4 vehicles and parking on the street is prohibited.

We loved the Barefoot Bungalow! If you are looking for a wonderful house on a quiet stretch of beach - this is the place! We loved that it was dog friendly but there was no evidence of dogs - best of all worlds! Great beach get away - even in January!

The wife and I and our 2 dogs spent a week at this wonderful house that is just feet from the beach. The house has absolutely everything you would need to cook meals. The master bed was very comfortable and the house is very clean and spacious. Nicbigbig front deck

This was our second time staying at Barefoot Bungalow. As with the first time, Carla and Jason were very easy to work with and included some very appreciated "extras" for our stay. We discovered the coffee maker was not working during our stay, but the hosts were very responsive and we had a new coffee pot within an hour or so. The house is fantastic with lots of space and close to the beach. We love that it is dog friendly and has a large enclosed deck for them to spend time just enjoying the sights and sounds with us. The dining room table is HUGE which is great for our family to use for playing a variety of card games in the evening. Thank you Carla and Jason for allowing us to share your home!

We had an absolutely amazing time staying at this house. The hosts were super quick at responding, the house was very spacious, and was honestly even better than the pics! Location was fantastic, there were tons of things stocked in the shed for us to use, they even had a booster chair and pack n’ play that were not listed. Would absolutely recommend and stay again!

We loved the open space, the family played cards around the dining table, the kids played charades in the living area.. nice view and stroll to the beach with tons of extra floats and toys in the shed. We will be back!!

What an AMAZING place
This was a great family vacation. The house is described and presented as expected. Highlights: private beach 100 yards from the deck, owners give you chairs and some great beach toys for the kids, restaurants and bars are very close by, evenings on the deck in those rockers is priceless and the Island is amazing. We are planning to book again next year.

Great beach stay!
Great home on the beach. We had 8 people in the home...4 generations of family ranging from pre-teen to 80s. The two bedrooms on the main floor were were perfect for the elders, and plenty of additional space in the 3 bedrooms upstairs. We cooked at the house quite a bit, and the kitchen was well stocked for meal preparation. One thing I should have asked and did not was regarding the bathroom configuration since we were traveling with elders. There is no walk in shower and the bathroom downstairs does have a big step over into the tub/shower combo. I was grateful they had a nice hand hold to make it easier for the folks. We loved being able to have our dogs with us, and very nice to have the gate on the deck. Lots of beach toys, bicycles, and beach chairs on property, and we also used the charcoal grill. It rained a little most days we were there and I loved having the covered deck to sit outside in all weather. We spent alot of time in those rocking chairs on the covered deck. This was our first trip to Dauphin Island, and we really enjoyed it. It is a quiet area and perfect for a relaxing time with family. We did visit the aquarium, the bird sanctuary and some of the local shops. Some went fishing and we also took the ferry over to fort morgan. The house is a very short walk to the beach. young fol

Wonderful house
We wanted a nice, relaxing weekend and that is exactly what we got with Beach Bungalow! The walk to the beach was perfect and the views are breathtaking. The room in the house was great too. The kitchen was very well stocked as well. This house was perfect!

Relaxing Trip
Beautiful property with an excellent setup for our group! The house was well stocked with everything we needed for the week. So many games for the kids and lots of room. We had a great week and the owners were amazing. We encounter a small problem and they were available to get us help immediately. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay! I hope we will be back!

3rd Stay!
I’ve reviewed this house the last two times we have stayed and it did not disappoint this stay either! The ages of our group was from 74 to 5 & the close proximity to the beach is one of the reasons we love this house. Everyone can easily walk to and from the beach. We got out a few of the bikes that are beneath the house and rode in the afternoon, which was so much fun! The house is well stocked with everything from blankets, to beach towels, sand toys and chairs (really nice ones). We used the grill, which was a nice Weber charcoal grill. If you’re looking for a fancy, all bright white, new house this may not be your house….but if your looking for practical, family friendly, well stocked house that you can be comfortable in for a week, then look no further. Oh…and it says it is a pet friendly house. We did not bring pets and our son has a dog allergy. We never smelled dog or saw any dog hair. His allergies never acted up, so I felt that spoke volumes to the cleanliness of the home.

This was our second time to stay here. It’s a great house in an even better location. The house is fully stocked with everything we need. The toys, beach chairs, and umbrellas were so nice to have as well. We will be returning!

We have moved all over the country the last 21 years and have settled in Olive Branch, MS. We experienced Dauphin Island a couple of years ago and instantly fell in love with the small beach town. We were so excited when the opportunity presented itself for us to purchase a Gulf Front home on the island. We have a 12 and 15 year old daughters who are active in sports and love biking all over the island. Our dogs, Wrigley and Frank, love to sunbathe on the deck, watch pelicans, and splash in the ocean (with a leash on, of course)
