Welcome to Seashore Cottage on the beach at Lagoon Point where the rainfall is half that of Seattle. We are located on 60' of low bank waterfront on the west side of Whidbey Island only 30 minutes north of the Clinton Ferry Terminal.
Enjoy everything Whidbey Island has to offer from this luxuriously-appointed 3-bedroom home. Our home was recently remodeled by a local interior designer and is filled with thoughtful touches, including premium linens, eclectic antiques and one-of-kind custom fixtures.
The home has two bathrooms, washer and dryer, gas fireplace and WiFi. The en-suite bathroom has a double vanity and heated towel rack. The cozy den includes a TV and comfortable couch for rainy day movie watching. Experience the ease of cooking on the new induction cooktop in the open-concept kitchen.
Our back door opens up to Admiralty Inlet where you can watch ships from all over the world pass through.
Enjoy world class sunsets from your patio chair or main bedroom suite - opening the door to hear the waves crashing just outside.
Bring your kayaks and paddle boards and explore the coast down to South Whidbey Park.
Neighborhood is on flat terrain for easy strolls or biking.
Fish right from the beach outside our home as salmon use this route on their way back from open waters.
From whales to deer to eagles they all make their home here or stop in for a visit.
In the evening relax around the outdoor fire and watch the stars come out.
Outside the neighborhood, you're close to all that Whidbey has to offer. We're minutes from hiking trails in South Whidbey State Park, historic Fort Casey, walking trails at Greenbank Farm and other beaches. Farther out, explore local wineries and picturesque beach towns Coupeville and Langley. The opportunities to get out and explore are endless - but we also designed the home to be the perfect retreat - no need to go much farther than the beach out the back door.

This home is amazing. Right on the water. We did a beach walk every morning and every night. My mother-in-law sat in the window and loved the view. It was lovely.
We were so in love with this house! It’s designed so thoughtfully and each little nook was executed to perfection. The yard was ideal for the littles with incredibly easy access to the beach. We enjoyed the views and location during the day and then were cozy as can be by the fireplace in the evenings. Great home base for exploring Whidbey and a bonus if you appreciate intentional and beautiful interior design. As an unexpected but amazing surprise, we were able to spot a seal and ORCAS from the yard! Will be back soon.
The rental was a great size for our family and was very comfortable. The outdoor fire pit with views of Admiralty Inlet was amazing and we have not had many rentals previously with a fire pit. The neighborhood was great, it is quiet and safe for kids to ride bikes and nice walks. Beachcombing was also great. The house is well equipped, the kitchen has everything you need. The fireplace is gas and is nice on cold nights. The master bedroom is large and has a large closet and good size master bath. There is a nice yard in front and in back with well kept grass and pathways. One thing to note is to plan your meals as the house is about 15-20 mins from restaurants or major grocery stores. There is a fantastic deli/small grocery shop in Greenbank called the Greenbank Pantry and Deli. Highly recommend it and the Greenbank Farm is nearby to the deli. Overall really enjoyed our stay in this rental on Whidbey Island to enjoy the beauty of this area.
If you are looking for a sunset view on the ocean in a residential setting this is the place for you. The hosts have done a fantastic job updating their property to what we call a 5 star experience. The photos listed online are exceptionally accurate but when you are there in person it shows quite a bit better!
Host communication was second to none ease of access was the same.
Highly recommend this spot!
My family has traveled all over the world, and this is one of the most cozy/beautiful rentals we have ever stayed in. It was clean, well stocked, perfect location, and great communication with host. We can’t wait to come back again!
Absolutely amazing time. Home was extremely well equipped with everything we needed. Excellent views. Kids loved the sandbox. We would not hesitate to rent again.

It’s not often that I read a review that says “they thought of everything” or “very well stocked kitchen” and it’s accurate - but this home exceeded the reviews! The house is thoughtfully designed and great for kids with easy beach access, a yard and small sand area with toys for younger kids, games and toys inside, blackout curtains in the non primary guest rooms, and easy access to so many fun Whidbey attractions. We can’t wait to come back!
This was our second stay here and we hope to make it a yearly tradition! Beautiful, clean and peaceful. Wonderful backyard to enjoy sunsets and if you are lucky you just might see orcas from the beach.
Once again we were not disappointed with our stay! The house is cozy and clean inside and has the greatest back yard that leads to the ocean beach. An outstanding place to make family memories!
The house exceeded our expectations! The pictures don’t do it justice as we thought it was even cuter in person. Kitchen was also well stocked with essentials.
The house was the perfect set up and is beautiful. Beds were very comfortable and you can’t beat the location. We did not want to leave! Our boys (9,8, and 5) loved it and are already asking to go back!
We love this cottage! This was our 3rd time staying. As a mother with three children under the age of 8 this property is perfect. You can be cooking and they can be playing in the sandpit or on the beach without being out of sight. I always feel safe and the neighbors are very kind. The road in front of the house is perfect for scooter riding and remote control car races. The fire pit is safe for kids to roast marshmallows. It was another wonderful trip and I can't wait to visit again soon. Thanks Debbie for always going above and beyond to be a fantastic host!
What a welcoming home to celebrate Thanksgiving with our family. So many great things to point out: location location location, decorated by a professional that knows what makes for a warm inviting place to relax, carefully cleaned, kitchen with everything a group of cooking females could need, and best of all … the view! Hope to return.
We wanted a getaway to just relax and watch the ocean waves. It was a perfect place to enjoy all day. Kitchen was fully stocked with treats in the freezer and anything you need in the pantry. Beds were comfy. When all accommodations are expensive, this was worth the extra - very little to clean at check out.
Everything we needed was at our fingertips. We were notified early that we were able to check-in early so we could plan accordingly. What a treat! The space was thoughtfully curated with fun touches everywhere. One of the few places I have stayed that everything felt new and clean so was very comfortable. Would highly recommend!
Situated near steps away from fantastic, saltwater fishing.
Ok, Ignore the fishing. Lol
The view is spectacular, right on the beach, beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The house is AMAZING and they have done a phenomenal job of decorating and accommodation’s.
Debbie and Gary are very accommodating and wonderful to work with. They treat you like a friend and not as a renter. We will be back in the future!!
We had a great stay! The house was so much more than a house, it was our home for those few days. From the moment you walk in and see the sand dollar art, the cabinet of treasures, to the picture window views, every detail makes you feel like you are in your own home. The layout was perfect and the rooms very spacious. You are on the beach and see magical sunsets every night! We know we will be back, it was the perfect home away from home stay!
Everything was perfect. This was our 2nd time vacationing at this property and the house was even better the 2nd time. It was comfortable and cozy for our 3 generation family and conveniently located to everything on South Whidbey.
The location is marvellous, beautiful views and steps away from a quiet and very pretty stretch of beach. The home has the most lovely decorating I have ever seen for a sea side cottage. Many lovely touches and unique furnishings. On top of this the home was immaculate and everything worked perfectly. We planned to go out for dinner a few times but couldn't take ourselves away.

I've loved Whidbey Island ever since I came here on my honeymoon, many moons ago. My husband Greg and I went back to the mainland and continued our lives, and raised our 3 kids, visiting Whidbey as often as we could. From 2010 to 2020 I shared a business flipping houses. From Everett to Seattle we ended up renovating 20 homes. They weren't the easy ones. We would get excited if "possible teardown", was in their description. I saw this house on a brisk December day in 2018. It was ugly, neglected. But walking through the back door to the shoreline, I knew it was a project worth taking on. Greg and I and our carpenter have spent nearly every weekend for 2 years taking everything apart and putting it all back together. We are very excited to share this "new" beach house with our guests and hope you enjoy the comfort and design while experiencing Lagoon Point and Whidbey Island.
Welcome! Debbie
Why they chose this property
Our place is situated on beachfront on Whidbey Island's West Side. The Olympic Mountains help shelter the area from much of Seattle's' famous wet weather. It is an ever changing landscape of water and sky, captivating from sunrise to sunset.
Ship traffic from all over the world pass by the house on their way into inland ports.
Whales, deer and eagles all make their home here.
Just feet away from the house you have access to walk the beach, kayak and paddleboard.
Bring your bicycles and scooters, the roads by the house are level and easy to explore.
Beach fishing for Salmon is very popular from Mid-July to Mid-September when they swim right off the shore by the house.
What makes this property unique
The home is a Pan Abode house, constructed of cedar timbers in 1963. With a lot of time and effort, it has been completely renovated from top to bottom. All systems have been brought up to code, yet the original character was preserved where possible. The interior design with it's art and antiques attempts to create a casual and timeless feel, evoking the 1960's of Whidbey Island.
