Modern Shipping Container Studio with Ocean Views
The latest Pointhouse project is Studio ISO, another light-filled glass box in the forest. Two standard 8*20′ shipping containers sandwich a taller timber-framed area. Discreet slot windows punctuate the seacans while full height glazing frames beautiful ocean views. Intended as a flexible space for exercise, art, massage, or yoga it can also provide extra guest accommodations.

*A feature gas fireplace efficiently heats the whole space and provides cosy ambiance
*Modern kitchen has full complement of compact appliances including fridge/freezer, induction stove, convection/mw oven and dishwasher.
*A queen murphy bed provides comfortable sleeping space on the main floor yet quickly folds away for space during the day
*A mezzanine/loft area accessible by a ladder provides additional work or lounging spaces well as a different perspective for interior and exterior views.
*Bathroom with a glass shower has heated floors throughout
*Minimal, adaptable furnishings allow multi-purpose use of the studio
*An enclosed private courtyard helps to expand the sense of space. Furnishings and BBQ all set for al fresco dining or lounging.

We bought the property in Dec 2005 as our future retirement home while we were still residing and working in Dawson Creek, BC. It was a successful vacation rental till Feb 2010 when we began a complete reconstruction of the main house and built a new guesthouse (Aerie) on the bluff above.
We made the move to the Sunshine Coast full time in January 2011 living first in the Aerie guesthouse and finally in Jun 2012, the expanded and renovated Pointhouse now a boutique B&B.
We expanded our rental offerings in 2016 with the purchase of the Annex, a 3 bedroom home overlooking the ocean on a separate property, to serve families and groups up to 6. Furnishing the Annex with the stored contents of 2 shipping containers that had been used during construction of the Pointhouse and Aerie allowed us to start construction of Studio Iso in 2019. It has been enjoyed now since May of 2020.
Till the next building bug strikes, the combination of B&B guests from all over the world and vacation rentals keeps us hopping. Fortunately, life on the coast is a more relaxed pace allowing us more playtime, family time and travel opportunities.

Gibsons, Sechelt, Pender Harbor and points in between offer innumerable opportunities for sightseeing, cultural and sporting activities and this property is located centrally to it all.
